Pojam DINK nije nepoznat pratiteljima društvenih kretanja na Zapadu. Pojam DINK nije nepoznat pratiteljima društvenih kretanja na Zapadu. Kratica načinjena od riječi "double/dual income no kids" koje bi se doslovno mogle prevesti kao "dvostruki prihod bez djece" označava parove koji ne žele imati djecu, a kako termin sugerira, financijski razlozi u tome su važni. Odnosno implicira se da je dijete trošak.

Jedan od bračnih parova koje bi se moglo svrstati u DINK-ove jesu Taylor (28) i Justin (27) Vasu iz Orange Countyja u Kaliforniji. Oni su već šest godina zajedno, upoznali su se na koledžu u srpnju 2017., a vjenčali na Havajima u lipnju 2022. Justin je direktor IT prodaje, a Taylor dizajnerica interijera.

Ne žele imati djecu, slobodno vrijeme provode putujući, odlaze na spontane ručkove, zajedno vježbaju, dugo spavaju i izležavaju se vikendom i kažu da imaju "divlji seks" četiri puta tjedno. Prema njihovim riječima, ne žele završiti "jadno ako imaju djecu".
