Hugh Hefner, osnivač "Playboya", preminuo je u srijedu u 91. godini, izvjestila je tvrtka Playboy Enterprises Inc.
Hefner je mirno od prirodnih uzroka preminuo u svom domu okružen najmilijima. Bio je američki poduzetnik, najpoznatiji po tome što je 1953. godine osnovao 'lifestyle' časopisa za muškarce "Playboy". Prvi broj poznat je po tome što je na naslovnici bila fotografija gole glumice Marilyn Monroe, a prodavao se  za 50 centi i objavljen je bez datuma u slučaju da ne bi bilo drugog izdanja. Prvo izdanje se rasprodalo za nekoliko tjedana.

Rođen je u Chicagu, a počeo je kao novinar u Esquireu. Bio je i glavni kreativni direktor tvrtke Playboy Enterprises.
Zahvaljujući uspjehu "Playboya", postao je milijunaš, a njegova neto vrijednost u vrijeme njegove smrti procjenjuje se na više od 43 milijuna dolara. Hefner je bio i politički aktivist i filantrop koji je bio aktivan po nizu javnih pitanja. Bio je i veteran Drugog svjetskog rata.

"Playboy" izlazi jednom mjesečno i donosi fotografije golih žena, zajedno sa raznim člancima o modi, sportu, proizvodima i javnim osobama. Za njega su svoje kratke priče pisali i poznati pisci poput Arthur C. Clarka, Ian Fleminga, Vladimira Nabokova i Margaret Atwood, a za taj časopis radili su i mnogi poznati fotografi kao što su Richard Fegley, William Figge, Arny Freytag, Ron Harris, David Mecey, Russ Meyer, Pompeo Posar, Suze Randall i drugi.

 Osim glavnog časopisa u SAD-u, posebna nacionalna izdanja Playboya izdaju se širom svijeta, a hrvatsko izdanje "Playboya" pokrenuto je 1997. godine.

Hugh Hefner, osnivač "Playboya", preminuo je u srijedu u 91. godini, izvjestila je tvrtka Playboy Enterprises Inc.
Hefner je mirno od prirodnih uzroka preminuo u svom domu okružen najmilijima. Bio je američki poduzetnik, najpoznatiji po tome što je 1953. godine osnovao 'lifestyle' časopisa za muškarce "Playboy". Prvi broj poznat je po tome što je na naslovnici bila fotografija gole glumice Marilyn Monroe, a prodavao se  za 50 centi i objavljen je bez datuma u slučaju da ne bi bilo drugog izdanja. Prvo izdanje se rasprodalo za nekoliko tjedana.

Rođen je u Chicagu, a počeo je kao novinar u Esquireu. Bio je i glavni kreativni direktor tvrtke Playboy Enterprises.
Zahvaljujući uspjehu "Playboya", postao je milijunaš, a njegova neto vrijednost u vrijeme njegove smrti procjenjuje se na više od 43 milijuna dolara. Hefner je bio i politički aktivist i filantrop koji je bio aktivan po nizu javnih pitanja. Bio je i veteran Drugog svjetskog rata.

"Playboy" izlazi jednom mjesečno i donosi fotografije golih žena, zajedno sa raznim člancima o modi, sportu, proizvodima i javnim osobama. Za njega su svoje kratke priče pisali i poznati pisci poput Arthur C. Clarka, Ian Fleminga, Vladimira Nabokova i Margaret Atwood, a za taj časopis radili su i mnogi poznati fotografi kao što su Richard Fegley, William Figge, Arny Freytag, Ron Harris, David Mecey, Russ Meyer, Pompeo Posar, Suze Randall i drugi.

 Osim glavnog časopisa u SAD-u, posebna nacionalna izdanja Playboya izdaju se širom svijeta, a hrvatsko izdanje "Playboya" pokrenuto je 1997. godine.
