Približavamo se Olimpijskim igrama u Parizu, na kojima možemo očekivati još jedan dobar nastup hrvatske jedriličarske reprezentacije. Na Igrama bi se svakako trebala naći i braća Fantela, nakon što su prošle sezone osvojenom broncom na Svjetskom prvenstvu u Kanadi još jednom potvrdili da spadaju u sam vrh klase 49er.

Medalja je stigla u sezoni u kojoj je Šime imao problema s ozljedom ramena, ali se oporavio na vrijeme za najvažnija natjecanja. Sada Fantele započinju pripreme za novu sezonu, u kojoj ne samo što se dijele odličja, već i olimpijske norme.

"Najvažniji cilj nam je maksimalno se spremiti za Svjetsko prvenstvo u Scheveningenu. Prvih osam nacija tamo dobiva normu za Pariz, što bi značilo da bismo se nakon toga mogli u miru spremati za Olimpijske igre" - ističe Šime Fantela.

Svjetsko prvenstvo u Nizozemskoj na rasporedu je od 11. do 18. kolovoza, a braća Fantela već krajem siječnja započinju svoje pripreme na otoku Lanzarote, do kojeg će doći nakon čak 27 sati putovanja trajektom iz Cadiza.

"Tamo su odlični uvjete za pripreme. Na jednom dijelu otoka imamo zaista velike valove, kakve nigdje drugdje nismo vidjeli, a mogu se naći i mirniji uvjeti s manjim valom. Vjetra ne manjka, od stabilnog do nestabilnog i baš je dobro mjesto za trenirati" - kaže Šime Fantela.

Fantele su mnogo radile na fizičkoj pripremi ove zime, a u Lanzaroteu će imati priliku ocijeniti u kakvoj formi ulaze u sezonu, jer na moru će biti i druge vrhunske 49er posade. Zatim Šimu i Mihu potkraj ožujka čeka prvo veliko natjecanje u Palma de Mallorci, regata poznata pod nazivom Trofej princeze Sofije.

"To je uvod u sezonu i stvarno jaka regata. Svi dođu u Mallorcu puni snova i ispipavaju svoju formu, da vide kako su radili preko zime - reći će Šime Fantela.

Naši predstavnici u klasi 49er odlučili su 2023. godinu posvetiti prije svega jedrenju u Francuskoj. Iako se Olimpijske igre odvijaju većim dijelom u Parizu, jedriličarske medalje dijelit će se na samom jugu u Marseilleu i Fantele žele ove sezone što više vremena provesti iskušavajući teren na Azurnoj obali.

"U Marseilleu nas čekaju tipični mediteranski uvjeti jedrenja, s mistralom kao vjetrom koji može biti vrlo snažan. Tamo ćemo provesti velik dio ljeta, peti, šesti i sedmi mjesec, da bismo se što bolje upoznali s regatnim poljem" - ističe.

A nakon Svjetskog prvenstva u kolovozu uzbuđenjima nije kraj, jer 8. studenog u portugalskoj Vilamouri započinje Europsko prvenstvo.

"Odlika ove sezone je to što će biti iznimno duga. Nećemo moći dići sve četiri u zrak nakon Svjetskog prvenstva, već treba ostati u formi za Europsko prvenstvo, jer titula europskog prvaka ima svoju težinu. Onda slijedi kratka zima pa olimpijske pripreme. Zato sada kada krećemo na put do Kanarskog otočja i započinjemo pripreme, imam osjećaj kao da smo krenuli put Pariza!"- kaže Šime Fantela.

U svakom slučaju, Fantelama uspjesi na velikim natjecanjima nisu strani. Zajedno su u klasi 49er već osvojili svjetsko zlato i broncu, kao i europsku broncu. Ove sezone pokušat će tome dodati nove medalje, a cilj je i dodatno podići formu za lov na olimpijsko odličje u 2024. godini, koje bi za Šimu bilo drugo u karijeri, nakon nezaboravnog zlata na Olimpijskim igrama u Riju u klasi 470...

Približavamo se Olimpijskim igrama u Parizu, na kojima možemo očekivati još jedan dobar nastup hrvatske jedriličarske reprezentacije. Na Igrama bi se svakako trebala naći i braća Fantela, nakon što su prošle sezone osvojenom broncom na Svjetskom prvenstvu u Kanadi još jednom potvrdili da spadaju u sam vrh klase 49er.

Medalja je stigla u sezoni u kojoj je Šime imao problema s ozljedom ramena, ali se oporavio na vrijeme za najvažnija natjecanja. Sada Fantele započinju pripreme za novu sezonu, u kojoj ne samo što se dijele odličja, već i olimpijske norme.

"Najvažniji cilj nam je maksimalno se spremiti za Svjetsko prvenstvo u Scheveningenu. Prvih osam nacija tamo dobiva normu za Pariz, što bi značilo da bismo se nakon toga mogli u miru spremati za Olimpijske igre" - ističe Šime Fantela.

Svjetsko prvenstvo u Nizozemskoj na rasporedu je od 11. do 18. kolovoza, a braća Fantela već krajem siječnja započinju svoje pripreme na otoku Lanzarote, do kojeg će doći nakon čak 27 sati putovanja trajektom iz Cadiza.

"Tamo su odlični uvjete za pripreme. Na jednom dijelu otoka imamo zaista velike valove, kakve nigdje drugdje nismo vidjeli, a mogu se naći i mirniji uvjeti s manjim valom. Vjetra ne manjka, od stabilnog do nestabilnog i baš je dobro mjesto za trenirati" - kaže Šime Fantela.

Fantele su mnogo radile na fizičkoj pripremi ove zime, a u Lanzaroteu će imati priliku ocijeniti u kakvoj formi ulaze u sezonu, jer na moru će biti i druge vrhunske 49er posade. Zatim Šimu i Mihu potkraj ožujka čeka prvo veliko natjecanje u Palma de Mallorci, regata poznata pod nazivom Trofej princeze Sofije.

"To je uvod u sezonu i stvarno jaka regata. Svi dođu u Mallorcu puni snova i ispipavaju svoju formu, da vide kako su radili preko zime - reći će Šime Fantela.

Naši predstavnici u klasi 49er odlučili su 2023. godinu posvetiti prije svega jedrenju u Francuskoj. Iako se Olimpijske igre odvijaju većim dijelom u Parizu, jedriličarske medalje dijelit će se na samom jugu u Marseilleu i Fantele žele ove sezone što više vremena provesti iskušavajući teren na Azurnoj obali.

"U Marseilleu nas čekaju tipični mediteranski uvjeti jedrenja, s mistralom kao vjetrom koji može biti vrlo snažan. Tamo ćemo provesti velik dio ljeta, peti, šesti i sedmi mjesec, da bismo se što bolje upoznali s regatnim poljem" - ističe.

A nakon Svjetskog prvenstva u kolovozu uzbuđenjima nije kraj, jer 8. studenog u portugalskoj Vilamouri započinje Europsko prvenstvo.

"Odlika ove sezone je to što će biti iznimno duga. Nećemo moći dići sve četiri u zrak nakon Svjetskog prvenstva, već treba ostati u formi za Europsko prvenstvo, jer titula europskog prvaka ima svoju težinu. Onda slijedi kratka zima pa olimpijske pripreme. Zato sada kada krećemo na put do Kanarskog otočja i započinjemo pripreme, imam osjećaj kao da smo krenuli put Pariza!"- kaže Šime Fantela.

U svakom slučaju, Fantelama uspjesi na velikim natjecanjima nisu strani. Zajedno su u klasi 49er već osvojili svjetsko zlato i broncu, kao i europsku broncu. Ove sezone pokušat će tome dodati nove medalje, a cilj je i dodatno podići formu za lov na olimpijsko odličje u 2024. godini, koje bi za Šimu bilo drugo u karijeri, nakon nezaboravnog zlata na Olimpijskim igrama u Riju u klasi 470...

Šime i Mihovil Fantela ušli u predolimpijsku godinu u kojoj žele ostvariti normu za Igre u Parizu, ali i postići vrhunske rezultate na natjecanjima

Približavamo se Olimpijskim igrama u Parizu, na kojima možemo očekivati još jedan dobar nastup hrvatske jedriličarske reprezentacije. Na Igrama bi se svakako trebala naći i braća Fantela, nakon što su prošle sezone osvojenom broncom na Svjetskom prvenstvu u Kanadi još jednom potvrdili da spadaju u sam vrh klase 49er.

Medalja je stigla u sezoni u kojoj je Šime imao problema s ozljedom ramena, ali se oporavio na vrijeme za najvažnija natjecanja. Sada Fantele započinju pripreme za novu sezonu, u kojoj ne samo što se dijele odličja, već i olimpijske norme.

"Najvažniji cilj nam je maksimalno se spremiti za Svjetsko prvenstvo u Scheveningenu. Prvih osam nacija tamo dobiva normu za Pariz, što bi značilo da bismo se nakon toga mogli u miru spremati za Olimpijske igre" - ističe Šime Fantela.

Svjetsko prvenstvo u Nizozemskoj na rasporedu je od 11. do 18. kolovoza, a braća Fantela već krajem siječnja započinju svoje pripreme na otoku Lanzarote, do kojeg će doći nakon čak 27 sati putovanja trajektom iz Cadiza.

"Tamo su odlični uvjete za pripreme. Na jednom dijelu otoka imamo zaista velike valove, kakve nigdje drugdje nismo vidjeli, a mogu se naći i mirniji uvjeti s manjim valom. Vjetra ne manjka, od stabilnog do nestabilnog i baš je dobro mjesto za trenirati" - kaže Šime Fantela.
