Novi soj koronavirusa, nazvan arkturus, širi se svijetom. Pojavio se u Indiji, stigao u Europu, a sada je zakucao i na hrvatska vrata. Naime, Slovenije je objavila prvi slučaj zaraze,što znači da je arkturus vjerojatno već i u Hrvatskoj. Novi soj ima i nove, sprecifične simptome, a za sada najviše pogađa djecu.
Virus XBB.1.16 je, u stvari, nova podvarijanta omikrona. Pošto je iznimno zarazan, u Indiji, zemlji izvorišta, je ponovno uvedena obveza nošenja zaštitnih maski.
- Ima jednu dodatnu mutaciju u proteinu šiljka, koja, u laboratorijskim studijama, pokazuje povećanu zaraznost te moguće, povećanu smrtnost. Nastavljamo ga pratiti, za HRT Dnevnik je rekla Maria Van Kerkhove, Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija.
Novi soj potvrđen je u 22 zemlje, među kojima su i Njemačka, Italija i Slovenija.
- Možemo čak i s velikom vjerojatnošću pretpostaviti da je već prisutan u Hrvatskoj zato što su ovo sve nama bliske zemlje sada se manje ljudi testira nego u prethodnim razdobljima tako da teže možemo detektirati takav novi soj nego prije, kazala je Ivana Pavić Šimetin, dr. med., zamjenica ravnatelja HZJZ-a.

Mnogi i ne znaju da su zaraženi - jer prate ga novi simptomi.
- Visoka temperatura, jaki kašalj i kod djece upala spojnice oka, radi se o negnojnoj, znači ne stvara se gnojni iscjedak nego crvenilo i svrbež oka kod djece, objasnila je Pavić Šimetin.
Upravo među djecom češće se širi.
- Djeca dolaze uglavnom zbog visoke temperature, bolova u grlu i kašlja. Nismo još registrirali djecu koja imaju i upalu spojnice oka dakle konjunktivitisa što karakterizira ovu novu varijantu omikrona, istaknuo je dr. sc. Aleksandar Ovuka, pedijatar, KBC Rijeka.
Teže kliničke slike - ne očekuju se. U Hrvatskoj studija o prokuženosti nije rađena, ali jest u nekim europskim zemljama. Podaci bi trebali biti slični, ističu epidemiolozi, a prema njima, više od 90 posto stanovništva steklo je antitijela - što bi uz postojeće cjepivo trebala biti dovoljna zaštita.
- Tvrtke koje proizvode cjepivo vjerojatno neće krenuti u novu investiciju da bi sada prilagođavale cjepivo ovoj novoj varijanti to je ustvari dobro pitanje treba li bi HZJZ preporučiti sada nekoj skupini stanovnika još neki booster, rekao je Luka Čičin Šain, irusni imunolog, Centar za infektološka istraživanja Helmholtz, Braunschweig, Njemačka.

- Pozivamo naše bolesne i starije građane pa čak i na petu dozu, svima onima kojima je od preboljenja ili cijepljenja prošlo 6 mjeseci, rekla je Pavić Šimetin.
Za idući mjesec najavljen je sastanak povjerenstva svjetske zdravstvene organizacije - na kojem će se raspravljati o proglašenju kraja pandemije, na što ćemo, čini se, ipak još pričekati.

Novi soj koronavirusa, nazvan arkturus, širi se svijetom. Pojavio se u Indiji, stigao u Europu, a sada je zakucao i na hrvatska vrata. Naime, Slovenije je objavila prvi slučaj zaraze,što znači da je arkturus vjerojatno već i u Hrvatskoj. Novi soj ima i nove, sprecifične simptome, a za sada najviše pogađa djecu.
Virus XBB.1.16 je, u stvari, nova podvarijanta omikrona. Pošto je iznimno zarazan, u Indiji, zemlji izvorišta, je ponovno uvedena obveza nošenja zaštitnih maski.
- Ima jednu dodatnu mutaciju u proteinu šiljka, koja, u laboratorijskim studijama, pokazuje povećanu zaraznost te moguće, povećanu smrtnost. Nastavljamo ga pratiti, za HRT Dnevnik je rekla Maria Van Kerkhove, Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija.
Novi soj potvrđen je u 22 zemlje, među kojima su i Njemačka, Italija i Slovenija.
- Možemo čak i s velikom vjerojatnošću pretpostaviti da je već prisutan u Hrvatskoj zato što su ovo sve nama bliske zemlje sada se manje ljudi testira nego u prethodnim razdobljima tako da teže možemo detektirati takav novi soj nego prije, kazala je Ivana Pavić Šimetin, dr. med., zamjenica ravnatelja HZJZ-a.

Mnogi i ne znaju da su zaraženi - jer prate ga novi simptomi.
- Visoka temperatura, jaki kašalj i kod djece upala spojnice oka, radi se o negnojnoj, znači ne stvara se gnojni iscjedak nego crvenilo i svrbež oka kod djece, objasnila je Pavić Šimetin.
Upravo među djecom češće se širi.
- Djeca dolaze uglavnom zbog visoke temperature, bolova u grlu i kašlja. Nismo još registrirali djecu koja imaju i upalu spojnice oka dakle konjunktivitisa što karakterizira ovu novu varijantu omikrona, istaknuo je dr. sc. Aleksandar Ovuka, pedijatar, KBC Rijeka.
Teže kliničke slike - ne očekuju se. U Hrvatskoj studija o prokuženosti nije rađena, ali jest u nekim europskim zemljama. Podaci bi trebali biti slični, ističu epidemiolozi, a prema njima, više od 90 posto stanovništva steklo je antitijela - što bi uz postojeće cjepivo trebala biti dovoljna zaštita.
- Tvrtke koje proizvode cjepivo vjerojatno neće krenuti u novu investiciju da bi sada prilagođavale cjepivo ovoj novoj varijanti to je ustvari dobro pitanje treba li bi HZJZ preporučiti sada nekoj skupini stanovnika još neki booster, rekao je Luka Čičin Šain, irusni imunolog, Centar za infektološka istraživanja Helmholtz, Braunschweig, Njemačka.

- Pozivamo naše bolesne i starije građane pa čak i na petu dozu, svima onima kojima je od preboljenja ili cijepljenja prošlo 6 mjeseci, rekla je Pavić Šimetin.
Za idući mjesec najavljen je sastanak povjerenstva svjetske zdravstvene organizacije - na kojem će se raspravljati o proglašenju kraja pandemije, na što ćemo, čini se, ipak još pričekati.
