"Od prvoga dana sve do danas dužnost Glavnog državnog odvjetnika Republike Hrvatske obnašao sam s ponosom, predano, profesionalno i pošteno, rukovodeći se u svom radu isključivo Ustavom i zakonima Republike Hrvatske, čuvajući neovisnost državnog odvjetništva. Tako sam postupao i tijekom svih 28 godina rada u državnom odvjetništvu.

Ovih dana su se u javnosti pojavile insinuacije vezano za moje članstvo u masonskoj udruzi. To članstvo u zakonitoj udruzi ni na koji način nije utjecalo na obnašanje moje dužnosti, no te su objede do takve mjere opteretile daljnje obnašanje dužnosti Glavnog državnog odvjetnika Republike Hrvatske da je ono praktički postalo nemoguće. Istodobno, u želji da se ovo opterećenje ne prenese na cijelo državno odvjetništvo,  procijenio sam da je u nastalim okolnostima davanje ostavke na mjesto čelnika cijele državnoodvjetničke organizacije jedino moralno i odgovorno rješenje.

Stoga sam danas Vladi Republike Hrvatske uputio zahtjev za razrješenje s dužnosti Glavnog državnog odvjetnika Republike Hrvatske.

Iako činom ostavke moj mandat Glavnog državnog odvjetnika Republike Hrvatske ranije završava, s te dužnosti odlazim mirne i čiste savjesti", stoji u priopćenju Državnog odvjetništva.

O Jelenićevoj ostavci počelo se govoriti nakon što je u utorak potvrdio da je slobodni zidar te da je liječnik i vođa jedne od masonskih loža Nikica Gabrić pokušao utjecati na tijek predistrage protiv troje novinara tjednika 7Dnevno koji su navodno ucjenjivali liječnika tražeći od njega 200.000 kuna kako ne bi objavili fotografije ceremonije masonske lože kojoj pripada.

Gabrić je Jelenićeve tvrdnje istog dana odbacio, rekavši da je istina potpuno drugačija. Pritom je naveo da ima i snimku razgovora te da je Jelenić "tražio uslugu" od njega, a ne obrnuto.

Iako je Jelenić isprva kazao da ne razmišlja o ostavci, pojašnjavajući kako se radi o zakonito osnovanoj udruzi koja se zalaže za boljitak u društvu, ministar pravosuđa Dražen Bošnjaković u srijedu je izjavio da očekuje Jelenićevu ostavku te da je članstvo glavnog državnog odvjetnika u masonskoj udruzi neprihvatljivo.

"Od prvoga dana sve do danas dužnost Glavnog državnog odvjetnika Republike Hrvatske obnašao sam s ponosom, predano, profesionalno i pošteno, rukovodeći se u svom radu isključivo Ustavom i zakonima Republike Hrvatske, čuvajući neovisnost državnog odvjetništva. Tako sam postupao i tijekom svih 28 godina rada u državnom odvjetništvu.

Ovih dana su se u javnosti pojavile insinuacije vezano za moje članstvo u masonskoj udruzi. To članstvo u zakonitoj udruzi ni na koji način nije utjecalo na obnašanje moje dužnosti, no te su objede do takve mjere opteretile daljnje obnašanje dužnosti Glavnog državnog odvjetnika Republike Hrvatske da je ono praktički postalo nemoguće. Istodobno, u želji da se ovo opterećenje ne prenese na cijelo državno odvjetništvo,  procijenio sam da je u nastalim okolnostima davanje ostavke na mjesto čelnika cijele državnoodvjetničke organizacije jedino moralno i odgovorno rješenje.

Stoga sam danas Vladi Republike Hrvatske uputio zahtjev za razrješenje s dužnosti Glavnog državnog odvjetnika Republike Hrvatske.

Iako činom ostavke moj mandat Glavnog državnog odvjetnika Republike Hrvatske ranije završava, s te dužnosti odlazim mirne i čiste savjesti", stoji u priopćenju Državnog odvjetništva.

O Jelenićevoj ostavci počelo se govoriti nakon što je u utorak potvrdio da je slobodni zidar te da je liječnik i vođa jedne od masonskih loža Nikica Gabrić pokušao utjecati na tijek predistrage protiv troje novinara tjednika 7Dnevno koji su navodno ucjenjivali liječnika tražeći od njega 200.000 kuna kako ne bi objavili fotografije ceremonije masonske lože kojoj pripada.

Gabrić je Jelenićeve tvrdnje istog dana odbacio, rekavši da je istina potpuno drugačija. Pritom je naveo da ima i snimku razgovora te da je Jelenić "tražio uslugu" od njega, a ne obrnuto.

Iako je Jelenić isprva kazao da ne razmišlja o ostavci, pojašnjavajući kako se radi o zakonito osnovanoj udruzi koja se zalaže za boljitak u društvu, ministar pravosuđa Dražen Bošnjaković u srijedu je izjavio da očekuje Jelenićevu ostavku te da je članstvo glavnog državnog odvjetnika u masonskoj udruzi neprihvatljivo.

To članstvo u zakonitoj udruzi ni na koji način nije utjecalo na obnašanje moje dužnosti, no te su objede do takve mjere opteretile daljnje obnašanje dužnosti Glavnog državnog odvjetnika Republike Hrvatske da je ono praktički postalo nemoguće. Istodobno, u želji da se ovo opterećenje ne prenese na cijelo državno odvjetništvo,  procijenio sam da je u nastalim okolnostima davanje ostavke na mjesto čelnika cijele državnoodvjetničke organizacije jedino moralno i odgovorno rješenje.

Stoga sam danas Vladi Republike Hrvatske uputio zahtjev za razrješenje s dužnosti Glavnog državnog odvjetnika Republike Hrvatske.

Iako činom ostavke moj mandat Glavnog državnog odvjetnika Republike Hrvatske ranije završava, s te dužnosti odlazim mirne i čiste savjesti", stoji u priopćenju Državnog odvjetništva.

O Jelenićevoj ostavci počelo se govoriti nakon što je u utorak potvrdio da je slobodni zidar te da je liječnik i vođa jedne od masonskih loža Nikica Gabrić pokušao utjecati na tijek predistrage protiv troje novinara tjednika 7Dnevno koji su navodno ucjenjivali liječnika tražeći od njega 200.000 kuna kako ne bi objavili fotografije ceremonije masonske lože kojoj pripada.

Gabrić je Jelenićeve tvrdnje istog dana odbacio, rekavši da je istina potpuno drugačija. Pritom je naveo da ima i snimku razgovora te da je Jelenić "tražio uslugu" od njega, a ne obrnuto.

Iako je Jelenić isprva kazao da ne razmišlja o ostavci, pojašnjavajući kako se radi o zakonito osnovanoj udruzi koja se zalaže za boljitak u društvu, ministar pravosuđa Dražen Bošnjaković u srijedu je izjavio da očekuje Jelenićevu ostavku te da je članstvo glavnog državnog odvjetnika u masonskoj udruzi neprihvatljivo.
