Izbornik hrvatske vaterpolske reprezentacije Ivica Tucak na konferenciji za novinstvo održanoj u Rijeci u srijedu uoči početka super finalnog turnira novog vaterpolskog natjecanja, LEN Europskog kupa, ustvrdio je da je termin turnira nepovoljan s obzirom na klupske obaveze igrača, ali da će hrvatska reprezentacija unatoč tome odigrati najbolje što može sa željom da stigne do kraja natjecanja.
Tucak je rekao kako je vrijeme za pripremu reprezentacije bilo kratko, ali se nada da će odigrati dobar turnir. Izrazio je želju da čelnici Europskog plivačkog saveza (LEN) za drugo izdanje sljedeće godine pronađu povoljniji termin.
"Dozvola LEN-a da reprezentacije igraju s po 15 igrača prvi put na službenom natjecanju je vrlo pozitivna. To omogućuje trenerima više izmjena igrača, veću sigurnost u slučaju ozljeda te time postavljanje kvalitetnije igre", rekao je Tucak.
Govoreći o samom finalnom turniru Europskog kupa, Tucak je izjavio da će Hrvatska igrati od utakmice do utakmice, posvećujući se svakom protivniku s dužnom pažnjom. Ocijenio je da prvi protivnik, Francuska, pokušava učiniti iskorak u kvaliteti igre te da je se ne smije podcijeniti.
Predsjednik Hrvatskog vaterpolskog saveza Predrag Sloboda je ustvrdio kako je ovaj turnir jedan od najvažnijih događaja u vaterpolu u Hrvatskoj uopće.
"Pred ovim natjecanjem, koje je pokrenuto ove godine, velika je budućnost, jer se očekuje da od sljedeće godine postane kvalifikacijski turnir za svjetsko prvenstvo", kazao je Sloboda naglasivši kako je uz sportsku komponentu ovo natjecanje važno je i za dodatnu promidžbu ovog kraja u turističkom smislu.
Reprezentativac Maro Joković je izrazio očekivanje po kojem će ovo biti iznimno jak turnir te zanimljiv za praćenje.
"Skupina s Francuskom, Srbijom i Crnom Gorom dosta je zahtjevna. Pogotov jer je termin odigravanja turnira pomalo nezgodan zbog klupske sezone u punom tijeku", smatra Joković, dok je njegov suigrač Ivan Buljubašić izrazio kako očekuje snažnu
podršku navijača, kao i uvijek u Rijeci.
Na finalnom turniru Europskog kupa u Rijeci od 5. do 8. travnja igra osam ponajboljih reprezentacija Europe, a time i svijeta. U drugoj skupini su Grčka, Italija, Španjolska i Mađarska.

Izbornik hrvatske vaterpolske reprezentacije Ivica Tucak na konferenciji za novinstvo održanoj u Rijeci u srijedu uoči početka super finalnog turnira novog vaterpolskog natjecanja, LEN Europskog kupa, ustvrdio je da je termin turnira nepovoljan s obzirom na klupske obaveze igrača, ali da će hrvatska reprezentacija unatoč tome odigrati najbolje što može sa željom da stigne do kraja natjecanja.
Tucak je rekao kako je vrijeme za pripremu reprezentacije bilo kratko, ali se nada da će odigrati dobar turnir. Izrazio je želju da čelnici Europskog plivačkog saveza (LEN) za drugo izdanje sljedeće godine pronađu povoljniji termin.
"Dozvola LEN-a da reprezentacije igraju s po 15 igrača prvi put na službenom natjecanju je vrlo pozitivna. To omogućuje trenerima više izmjena igrača, veću sigurnost u slučaju ozljeda te time postavljanje kvalitetnije igre", rekao je Tucak.
Govoreći o samom finalnom turniru Europskog kupa, Tucak je izjavio da će Hrvatska igrati od utakmice do utakmice, posvećujući se svakom protivniku s dužnom pažnjom. Ocijenio je da prvi protivnik, Francuska, pokušava učiniti iskorak u kvaliteti igre te da je se ne smije podcijeniti.
Predsjednik Hrvatskog vaterpolskog saveza Predrag Sloboda je ustvrdio kako je ovaj turnir jedan od najvažnijih događaja u vaterpolu u Hrvatskoj uopće.
"Pred ovim natjecanjem, koje je pokrenuto ove godine, velika je budućnost, jer se očekuje da od sljedeće godine postane kvalifikacijski turnir za svjetsko prvenstvo", kazao je Sloboda naglasivši kako je uz sportsku komponentu ovo natjecanje važno je i za dodatnu promidžbu ovog kraja u turističkom smislu.
Reprezentativac Maro Joković je izrazio očekivanje po kojem će ovo biti iznimno jak turnir te zanimljiv za praćenje.
"Skupina s Francuskom, Srbijom i Crnom Gorom dosta je zahtjevna. Pogotov jer je termin odigravanja turnira pomalo nezgodan zbog klupske sezone u punom tijeku", smatra Joković, dok je njegov suigrač Ivan Buljubašić izrazio kako očekuje snažnu
podršku navijača, kao i uvijek u Rijeci.
Na finalnom turniru Europskog kupa u Rijeci od 5. do 8. travnja igra osam ponajboljih reprezentacija Europe, a time i svijeta. U drugoj skupini su Grčka, Italija, Španjolska i Mađarska.
