Trener New England Patriotsa Bill Belichick odbio je od Donalda Trumpa prihvatiti Predsjedničku medalju slobode, najviše civilno odličje u SAD, piše The Guardian.

Belichick, koji se smatra jednim od najvećih trenera u američkom nogometu, kazao je kako je ovu odluku donio nakon upada Trumpovih pristaša u američki Kongres - prenosi Jutarnji list. 

- Nedavno mi je ponuđena prilika da primim Predsjedničku medalju slobode, što mi je laskalo zbog poštovanja prema onome što to predstavlja i mog divljenja prema osobama koje su je ranije dobile. Nakon toga, prošlog tjedna je došlo do tragičnih događaja zbog čega sam odlučio da ne želim primiti tu medalju - kazao je Belichick.

- Američki sam građanin s velikim poštovanjem prema vrijednostima naše nacije, slobodi i demokraciji. Također, znam da predstavljam svoju obitelj i tim New England Patriotsa. Jedna od najboljih stvari u mojoj profesionalnoj karijeri dogodila se 2020. kada su, zahvaljujući vodstvu unutar našeg tima, razgovori o socijalnoj pravdi, jednakosti i ljudskim pravima prešli u prvi plan - kazao je. 

Trump je na tijekom kampanje 2016. godine pročitao pismo od Belichicka koji mu je poručio da mu je kampanja bila sjajna, tako da bi ovo odbijanje medalje mogao biti hladan tuš za predsjednika na odlasku, piše The Guardian.

Inače, najpoznatiji američki Hrvat nikad nije skrivao da je veliki prijatelj od Trumpa, a aktualni američki predsjednik često se družio i s vlasnikom New England Patriotsa Robertom Kraftom, ali i bivšim najboljim igračem franšize Tomom Bradyjem.

Trener New England Patriotsa Bill Belichick odbio je od Donalda Trumpa prihvatiti Predsjedničku medalju slobode, najviše civilno odličje u SAD, piše The Guardian.

Belichick, koji se smatra jednim od najvećih trenera u američkom nogometu, kazao je kako je ovu odluku donio nakon upada Trumpovih pristaša u američki Kongres - prenosi Jutarnji list. 

- Nedavno mi je ponuđena prilika da primim Predsjedničku medalju slobode, što mi je laskalo zbog poštovanja prema onome što to predstavlja i mog divljenja prema osobama koje su je ranije dobile. Nakon toga, prošlog tjedna je došlo do tragičnih događaja zbog čega sam odlučio da ne želim primiti tu medalju - kazao je Belichick.

- Američki sam građanin s velikim poštovanjem prema vrijednostima naše nacije, slobodi i demokraciji. Također, znam da predstavljam svoju obitelj i tim New England Patriotsa. Jedna od najboljih stvari u mojoj profesionalnoj karijeri dogodila se 2020. kada su, zahvaljujući vodstvu unutar našeg tima, razgovori o socijalnoj pravdi, jednakosti i ljudskim pravima prešli u prvi plan - kazao je. 

Trump je na tijekom kampanje 2016. godine pročitao pismo od Belichicka koji mu je poručio da mu je kampanja bila sjajna, tako da bi ovo odbijanje medalje mogao biti hladan tuš za predsjednika na odlasku, piše The Guardian.

Inače, najpoznatiji američki Hrvat nikad nije skrivao da je veliki prijatelj od Trumpa, a aktualni američki predsjednik često se družio i s vlasnikom New England Patriotsa Robertom Kraftom, ali i bivšim najboljim igračem franšize Tomom Bradyjem.

‘Ne želim primiti tu medalju‘: najpoznatiji američki Hrvat odbio Donalda Trumpa iako ne skriva da su prijatelji

Trener New England Patriotsa Bill Belichick odbio je od Donalda Trumpa prihvatiti Predsjedničku medalju slobode, najviše civilno odličje u SAD, piše The Guardian.

Belichick, koji se smatra jednim od najvećih trenera u američkom nogometu, kazao je kako je ovu odluku donio nakon upada Trumpovih pristaša u američki Kongres - prenosi Jutarnji list. 

- Nedavno mi je ponuđena prilika da primim Predsjedničku medalju slobode, što mi je laskalo zbog poštovanja prema onome što to predstavlja i mog divljenja prema osobama koje su je ranije dobile. Nakon toga, prošlog tjedna je došlo do tragičnih događaja zbog čega sam odlučio da ne želim primiti tu medalju - kazao je Belichick.

- Američki sam građanin s velikim poštovanjem prema vrijednostima naš...
