Klinički je izgledalo da je ruptura prednjeg donjeg dijela stopala, ali dvije magnetske rezonancije nisu pokazale nikakvu rupturu, ni rupturu tetive. Najvjerojatnije se radi o jednom jačem istegnuću na predjelu bližem prstima desne noge - kaže Miroslav Smerdelj, liječnik hrvatske košarkašereprezentacije nakon što se Marko Popović vratio s pregleda stopala lijeve noge.
- Nema rupture, to je dobar znak. Terapija je već započela, ali sigurno ne možemo računati na njega u iduće dvije utakmice iako je nemala vjerojatnost kako neće moći igrati do kraja - dodao je Smerdelj

Popović vjeruje kako i bez njega reprezentacija može u Pekingu do novih pobjeda.

- Kao prvaci skupine možemo se nadati tome - dodao je Litvanac, koji je već deset godina, od 1998. u reprezentaciji.
Za biti prvi u skupini treba dobiti i Hrvatsku?
- Da, težak zadatak s obzirom na igru koju su Hrvati pokazali protiv Rusa. No, znamo sve o Hrvatskoj iako o svakom slijedećem protivniku razmišljamo tek dan nakon što odigramo prethodnu utakmicu.
Hrvatska ima prednost jer je duže ovog ljeta na okupu zbog kvalifikacija, a sve pobjede koje je ostvarila, računajući i kvalifikacije, rezultat su snage momčadi. Iako im nedostaju neki igrači, Hrvatska zaslužuje respekt.

Prvi, a možda i četvrti!
Ukoliko u subotu ne pobijedimo Litvu u 4. kolu, a Rusi dobiju Argentince, Hrvatska će, naravno uz pobjedu protiv Irana u posljednjem kolu (ponedjeljak, 18. kolovoza), nastup u skupini zaključiti na četvrtome mjestu te će u četvrtfinalu igrati protiv SAD-a. Pobijedi li Litvu i Iran te dočeka uspjeh Rusa protiv Argentinaca, Hrvatska će biti prva!

Klinički je izgledalo da je ruptura prednjeg donjeg dijela stopala, ali dvije magnetske rezonancije nisu pokazale nikakvu rupturu, ni rupturu tetive. Najvjerojatnije se radi o jednom jačem istegnuću na predjelu bližem prstima desne noge - kaže Miroslav Smerdelj, liječnik hrvatske košarkašereprezentacije nakon što se Marko Popović vratio s pregleda stopala lijeve noge.
- Nema rupture, to je dobar znak. Terapija je već započela, ali sigurno ne možemo računati na njega u iduće dvije utakmice iako je nemala vjerojatnost kako neće moći igrati do kraja - dodao je Smerdelj
- Da, ne vjerujem kako ću više igrati na Igrama s obzirom na bol - tiho će Popović dok ga hrabri Marko Banić.
- Evo Popa nama natrag u četvrtfinalu!
- Uf, tko ne bi želio igrati.... Teško je, ali opet, sjetim se Markote.
Prošao je sve, a nema ga u Pekingu zbog ozljede. Ja sam tu. Igrao sam. Uz to, srećom, ozljeda nije teža....
Popović vjeruje kako i bez njega reprezentacija može u Pekingu do novih pobjeda.
- Rekao je Repeša, ekipa smo. Kad dobijemo, dobijemo kao ekipa. Sad kad smo izgubili, izgubili smo kao ekipa. Svi smo odigrali loše. Težak poraz, ali Davor Dominiković je kralj. Znaš što je rekao, bolje izgubiti jednom 30 razlike nego tri puta po 10 razlike - smije se Popović, koji će utakmicu s Litvom pratiti s tribine.
- Bit ću najžešći navijač - poručuje Popović.

Šiškauskas: Puni respekt
Ramunas Šiškauskas, 30-godišnji Litvanac, u džepu već ima olimpijsku medalju. Broncu iz Sydneyja 2000. U Pekingu želi finale.
- Kao prvaci skupine možemo se nadati tome - dodao je Litvanac, koji je već deset godina, od 1998. u reprezentaciji.
Za biti prvi u skupini treba dobiti i Hrvatsku?
- Da, težak zadatak s obzirom na igru koju su Hrvati pokazali protiv Rusa. No, znamo sve o Hrvatskoj iako o svakom slijedećem protivniku razmišljamo tek dan nakon što odigramo prethodnu utakmicu.
Hrvatska ima prednost jer je duže ovog ljeta na okupu zbog kvalifikacija, a sve pobjede koje je ostvarila, računajući i kvalifikacije, rezultat su snage momčadi. Iako im nedostaju neki igrači, Hrvatska zaslužuje respekt.

Prvi, a možda i četvrti!
Ukoliko u subotu ne pobijedimo Litvu u 4. kolu, a Rusi dobiju Argentince, Hrvatska će, naravno uz pobjedu protiv Irana u posljednjem kolu (ponedjeljak, 18. kolovoza), nastup u skupini zaključiti na četvrtome mjestu te će u četvrtfinalu igrati protiv SAD-a. Pobijedi li Litvu i Iran te dočeka uspjeh Rusa protiv Argentinaca, Hrvatska će biti prva!
