Košarkaši Alkara utakmicom protiv starih rivala, zadarske Sonik Puntamike, otvaraju novu prvoligašku sezonu u kojoj će ponovno za cilj imati opstanak u najvišem razredu hrvatske košarke. Sinjska momčad bitno je pomlađena u odnosu na sezonu ranije, nema više legende kluba i kapetana Mirka Modrića, zatim Ivana Svaline koji je fakultetskih obveza odabrao bolju opciju u drugoligašu iz Kaštela, a tamo se skrasio i Dino Šipić. Isto tako, nema niti Bruna Markulina, Ljube Šamadana i Josha Browna.

S druge strane, momčad se popunila s novom dvojicom američkih igrača. Prvi od njih, 29-godišnji play Nick Neal koji ima europskih iskustava, dok je 22-godišnjem centru Emmanuelu Wembiju ovo prvo europsko iskustvo nakon završetka studija. Doveden je i Ivan Kučan, bek šuter koji je branio boje Škrljeva i ranije Kvarnera, zatim drugi razigravač Srđan Brocić iz Borova Vukovar, krilo Fran Jacović iz Cedevite i Stanko Dukić iz Cetine Trilj, a radu s prvom momčadi još sudjeluje i nekolicina igrača iz juniorskog uzrasta.

Vrlo malo je toga ostalo. Prošlogodišnji stožerni igrač i najbolji strijelac Hrvoje Vučić i dalje je tu, kao i Gabrijel Marić te Frano Pralija, Ivan Jurela i Lovre Tvrdić uz već spomenutu mlađu gardu. Velike su to promjene, je li i na bolje, pokazat će vrijeme, ali jasno je da će trener Damir Milačić, još jedan povratnik nakon dvije godine odsustva, imati prilično složen posao:

- Zadovoljan sam odrađenim u pripremnom razdoblju, odlična je atmosfera i jedva čekamo svi skupa da krenemo. Prva utakmica uvijek sa sobom nosi opasnosti, ona sa sobom nosi određen pritisak, ali vjerujem da ćemo biti dovoljno dobri za bodove. Sonik je jedan odlična momčad, pojačana s nizom provjerenih igrača, stoga očekujem veliku borbu. Veselimo se i povratku naših najvatrenijih navijača i pozivam sve ostale da nas bodre., kazao je Milačić.

Ovih dana još jedna dobra vijest za Alkar stigla iz redova Sinjskih Maligana. Naime, još od početka godine Maligani su bojkotirali domaće oglede Alkara u novoj GSD Ivica Glavan Ićo, no izgleda je tomu na sreću došao kraj i da će se sinjska dvorana ponovno moći zvati - grotlom.

Košarkaši Alkara utakmicom protiv starih rivala, zadarske Sonik Puntamike, otvaraju novu prvoligašku sezonu u kojoj će ponovno za cilj imati opstanak u najvišem razredu hrvatske košarke. Sinjska momčad bitno je pomlađena u odnosu na sezonu ranije, nema više legende kluba i kapetana Mirka Modrića, zatim Ivana Svaline koji je fakultetskih obveza odabrao bolju opciju u drugoligašu iz Kaštela, a tamo se skrasio i Dino Šipić. Isto tako, nema niti Bruna Markulina, Ljube Šamadana i Josha Browna.

S druge strane, momčad se popunila s novom dvojicom američkih igrača. Prvi od njih, 29-godišnji play Nick Neal koji ima europskih iskustava, dok je 22-godišnjem centru Emmanuelu Wembiju ovo prvo europsko iskustvo nakon završetka studija. Doveden je i Ivan Kučan, bek šuter koji je branio boje Škrljeva i ranije Kvarnera, zatim drugi razigravač Srđan Brocić iz Borova Vukovar, krilo Fran Jacović iz Cedevite i Stanko Dukić iz Cetine Trilj, a radu s prvom momčadi još sudjeluje i nekolicina igrača iz juniorskog uzrasta.

Vrlo malo je toga ostalo. Prošlogodišnji stožerni igrač i najbolji strijelac Hrvoje Vučić i dalje je tu, kao i Gabrijel Marić te Frano Pralija, Ivan Jurela i Lovre Tvrdić uz već spomenutu mlađu gardu. Velike su to promjene, je li i na bolje, pokazat će vrijeme, ali jasno je da će trener Damir Milačić, još jedan povratnik nakon dvije godine odsustva, imati prilično složen posao:

- Zadovoljan sam odrađenim u pripremnom razdoblju, odlična je atmosfera i jedva čekamo svi skupa da krenemo. Prva utakmica uvijek sa sobom nosi opasnosti, ona sa sobom nosi određen pritisak, ali vjerujem da ćemo biti dovoljno dobri za bodove. Sonik je jedan odlična momčad, pojačana s nizom provjerenih igrača, stoga očekujem veliku borbu. Veselimo se i povratku naših najvatrenijih navijača i pozivam sve ostale da nas bodre., kazao je Milačić.

Ovih dana još jedna dobra vijest za Alkar stigla iz redova Sinjskih Maligana. Naime, još od početka godine Maligani su bojkotirali domaće oglede Alkara u novoj GSD Ivica Glavan Ićo, no izgleda je tomu na sreću došao kraj i da će se sinjska dvorana ponovno moći zvati - grotlom.
