Agencija za javno zdravstvo američke savezne države Illinois objavila je neimenovani pacijent star između 17 i 38 godina preminuo nakon što je zbog upotrebe elektroničke cigarete razvio tešku bolest plućnog sustava, piše BBC.
Vijesti o ovom smrtnom slučaju, prvom takve vrste u Sjedinjenim Državama, dolazi nakon što je diljem SAD-a veći broj ljudi zbog upotrebe e-cigareta obolio na pluća.
Američka agencija za prevenciju i kontrolu bolesti (CDC) u petak je izvijestila da su u 22 različite savezne države zbog upotrebe e-cigareta oboljele 193 osobe. To je porast od 40 oboljelih i šest saveznih država u odnosu na srijedu. Od te 193 oboljele osobe, njih 22 su stanovnici Illinoisa.
"Rastužila nas je vijest o prvom smrtnom slučaju koji je povezan sa širenjem plućnih bolesti kod onih koji koriste e-cigarete", rekao je ravnatelj CDC-a Robert Redfield. "Ova tragična smrt u Illinoisu podcrtava da upotreba e-cigareta dolazi s ozbiljnim rizicima. Osobe koje koriste e-cigarete dolaze u kontakt s puno tvari o kojima ne znamo dovoljno, barem kada je riječ o utjecaju na zdravlje. Prije svega, radi se o okusima, nikotinu, kanabinoidima i otapalima."
Redfield je rekao da e-cigarete nisu sigurne za djecu, mlađe odrasle osobe, trudnice i odrasle osobe koje inače ne koriste duhanske proizvode.
Oboljeli su iskusili simptome kao što su kašalj, teško disanje i umor, a neki su i povraćali te imali proljev.
CDC kaže da nije jasno jesu li oboljenja povezana, ali ne čini se kao da potječu od neke zarazne bolesti. "Mnogi od oboljelih su priznali da su nedavno koristili proizvode s tetrahidrokanabinolom (THC)", pojasnili su iz CDC-a.
Predsjednik Američke udruge korisnika e-cigareta Gregory Conley rekao je da je uvjeren da oboljenja nisu uzrokovali uređaji koji sadrže nikotin, već oni koji sadržavaju kanabis ili druge sintetičke droge.

Agencija za javno zdravstvo američke savezne države Illinois objavila je neimenovani pacijent star između 17 i 38 godina preminuo nakon što je zbog upotrebe elektroničke cigarete razvio tešku bolest plućnog sustava, piše BBC.
Vijesti o ovom smrtnom slučaju, prvom takve vrste u Sjedinjenim Državama, dolazi nakon što je diljem SAD-a veći broj ljudi zbog upotrebe e-cigareta obolio na pluća.
Američka agencija za prevenciju i kontrolu bolesti (CDC) u petak je izvijestila da su u 22 različite savezne države zbog upotrebe e-cigareta oboljele 193 osobe. To je porast od 40 oboljelih i šest saveznih država u odnosu na srijedu. Od te 193 oboljele osobe, njih 22 su stanovnici Illinoisa.
"Rastužila nas je vijest o prvom smrtnom slučaju koji je povezan sa širenjem plućnih bolesti kod onih koji koriste e-cigarete", rekao je ravnatelj CDC-a Robert Redfield. "Ova tragična smrt u Illinoisu podcrtava da upotreba e-cigareta dolazi s ozbiljnim rizicima. Osobe koje koriste e-cigarete dolaze u kontakt s puno tvari o kojima ne znamo dovoljno, barem kada je riječ o utjecaju na zdravlje. Prije svega, radi se o okusima, nikotinu, kanabinoidima i otapalima."
Redfield je rekao da e-cigarete nisu sigurne za djecu, mlađe odrasle osobe, trudnice i odrasle osobe koje inače ne koriste duhanske proizvode.
Oboljeli su iskusili simptome kao što su kašalj, teško disanje i umor, a neki su i povraćali te imali proljev.
CDC kaže da nije jasno jesu li oboljenja povezana, ali ne čini se kao da potječu od neke zarazne bolesti. "Mnogi od oboljelih su priznali da su nedavno koristili proizvode s tetrahidrokanabinolom (THC)", pojasnili su iz CDC-a.
Predsjednik Američke udruge korisnika e-cigareta Gregory Conley rekao je da je uvjeren da oboljenja nisu uzrokovali uređaji koji sadrže nikotin, već oni koji sadržavaju kanabis ili druge sintetičke droge.
