Kažu da je potražnja barem osam puta veća od moguće proizvodnje u ovom trenutku

Nema dobrih vijesti za one koji bi na brzinu željeli izgubiti višak kilograma! Naime, Wegovy, lijek protiv debljine danske tvrtke Novo Nordisk, koji se primjenjuje jedanput tjedno putem injekcije, a s kojim se u kratkom vremenu može izgubiti i više od 20 posto težine, barem još dvije do tri godine bit će deficitarna "roba" farmaceutskog tržišta.

Gotovo je sigurno, nestašica će biti takva da će tek rijetki moći doći do lijeka. Potvrđuju to i informacije po kojima je Wegovy, premda odobren od FDA za američko i od EMA za europske tržište, zasad prisutan samo u SAD-u, Danskoj, Njemačkoj i Velikoj Britaniji, a ostali su na čekanju. Naime, semaglutid, sirovinu za taj lijek, Novo Nordisk neće moći provesti u dovoljnim količinama dok značajno ne poveća proizvodne kapacitete da bi mogao zadovoljiti tržište liječenja i pretilosti i dijabetesa. Prednost imaju dijabetičari, točnije proizvodnja Ozempica, lijeka istog sastava, ali za liječenje dijabetesa.

Iz tvrtke pokušavaju smiriti dijabetičare diljem svijeta kojima je Ozempic terapija (manja doza djelatne tvari) i tvrde da većih nestašica toga lijeka za dijabetes ne bi trebalo biti. U Hrvatskoj je oko 15.000 dijabetičara na Ozempicu i oni zasad nisu imali problema s nabavom lijeka čija je djelatna tvar semaglutid, odnosno antagonist receptora GLP-1 (glukagonu slični peptid-1), a koji djeluje na isti način kao prirodni hormon koji se proizvodi u crijevima, povećava količinu inzulina kao odgovor na unos hrane i tako regulira šećer u krvi. Uz to, smanjuje i tjelesnu težinu jer pacijent nakon obroka duže vrijeme ima osjećaj sitosti. Dakako, kao i svaki lijek, Wegovy ima i nuspojave, poput problema s probavom, mučnina, proljeva, a kod nekih i s očima, točnije može se pogoršati dijabetička retinopatija.

"Moram smršavjeti", imperativ je pretilih, ali do realizacije se uglavnom teško stiže. Poglavito je teško onima koji nemaju dva, tri kilograma viška, već značajno više, točnije kad indeks tjelesne mase (ITM) prelazi 30. Većina debelih rado bi neku čarobnu pilulu koja bi im osigurala vitku liniju u što kraćem vremenu, ali bez mukotrpnih dijeta i boravka u teretanama. "Sveti gral" ili, točnije, "čarobna" injekcija je tu, ali zasad će do nje tek sretnici. Kažu da je potražnja barem osam puta veća od moguće proizvodnje u ovom trenutku! Da bi došli do svoje injekcije za topljenje kilograma, mnogi će morati pričekati barem dvije godine, odnosno dok se ne povećaju proizvodni kapaciteti za semaglutid. Nestašica je razlog zbog kojeg je danska tvrtka obustavila gotovo sve promotivne kapanje tog lijeka u SAD-u prije nekoliko mjeseci jer je tržište doslovno eksplodiralo.

Koliko je to potentno tržište pokazuju podaci da su apsolutni farmaceutski rekorderi po rastu prihoda u drugom tromjesečju ove godine upravo dvije tvrtke koje proizvode lijekove za debljinu i dijabetes, i to Novo Nordisk za 32 posto u odnosu na lani, a Eli Lilly 28 posto, jer uz terapiju za dijabetes proizvodi i lijek za mršavljenje tirzepatid tvorničkog imena Mounjaro. Nijedna druga farmaceutska tvrtka na top listi nije imala prihod veći od 11 posto. Ti podaci najbolje pokazuju koji bi to lijekovi idućih desetljeća mogli biti globalni blockbusteri jer se gotovo sa sigurnošću može predvidjeti da će liječenje debljine biti jedan od najvećih zdravstvenih izazova.

Nedavni rezultati treće faze kliničkih ispitivanje Wegovyja mogli bi dodatno povećati njegovu uporabu. Naime, pokazalo se da smanjuje rizik za kardiovaskularne bolesti (srčani ili moždani udar) za više od 20 posto. Studija SELECT rađena je na 17.604 osobe starije od 45 godina koje su imale prekomjernu tjelesnu težini i patile od nekih kardiovaskularnih bolesti. Rezultat studije bit će temelj da Novo Nordisk od nadležnih agencija zatraži proširenje indikacija za korištenje Wegovyja i za prevenciju kardiovaskularnih rizika kod pretilih pacijenata.

Kažu da je potražnja barem osam puta veća od moguće proizvodnje u ovom trenutku

Nema dobrih vijesti za one koji bi na brzinu željeli izgubiti višak kilograma! Naime, Wegovy, lijek protiv debljine danske tvrtke Novo Nordisk, koji se primjenjuje jedanput tjedno putem injekcije, a s kojim se u kratkom vremenu može izgubiti i više od 20 posto težine, barem još dvije do tri godine bit će deficitarna "roba" farmaceutskog tržišta.

Gotovo je sigurno, nestašica će biti takva da će tek rijetki moći doći do lijeka. Potvrđuju to i informacije po kojima je Wegovy, premda odobren od FDA za američko i od EMA za europske tržište, zasad prisutan samo u SAD-u, Danskoj, Njemačkoj i Velikoj Britaniji, a ostali su na čekanju. Naime, semaglutid, sirovinu za taj lijek, Novo Nordisk neće moći provesti u dovoljnim količinama dok značajno ne poveća proizvodne kapacitete da bi mogao zadovoljiti tržište liječenja i pretilosti i dijabetesa. Prednost imaju dijabetičari, točnije proizvodnja Ozempica, lijeka istog sastava, ali za liječenje dijabetesa.

Iz tvrtke pokušavaju smiriti dijabetičare diljem svijeta kojima je Ozempic terapija (manja doza djelatne tvari) i tvrde da većih nestašica toga lijeka za dijabetes ne bi trebalo biti. U Hrvatskoj je oko 15.000 dijabetičara na Ozempicu i oni zasad nisu imali problema s nabavom lijeka čija je djelatna tvar semaglutid, odnosno antagonist receptora GLP-1 (glukagonu slični peptid-1), a koji djeluje na isti način kao prirodni hormon koji se proizvodi u crijevima, povećava količinu inzulina kao odgovor na unos hrane i tako regulira šećer u krvi. Uz to, smanjuje i tjelesnu težinu jer pacijent nakon obroka duže vrijeme ima osjećaj sitosti. Dakako, kao i svaki lijek, Wegovy ima i nuspojave, poput problema s probavom, mučnina, proljeva, a kod nekih i s očima, točnije može se pogoršati dijabetička retinopatija.

"Moram smršavjeti", imperativ je pretilih, ali do realizacije se uglavnom teško stiže. Poglavito je teško onima koji nemaju dva, tri kilograma viška, već značajno više, točnije kad indeks tjelesne mase (ITM) prelazi 30. Većina debelih rado bi neku čarobnu pilulu koja bi im osigurala vitku liniju u što kraćem vremenu, ali bez mukotrpnih dijeta i boravka u teretanama. "Sveti gral" ili, točnije, "čarobna" injekcija je tu, ali zasad će do nje tek sretnici. Kažu da je potražnja barem osam puta veća od moguće proizvodnje u ovom trenutku! Da bi došli do svoje injekcije za topljenje kilograma, mnogi će morati pričekati barem dvije godine, odnosno dok se ne povećaju proizvodni kapaciteti za semaglutid. Nestašica je razlog zbog kojeg je danska tvrtka obustavila gotovo sve promotivne kapanje tog lijeka u SAD-u prije nekoliko mjeseci jer je tržište doslovno eksplodiralo.

Koliko je to potentno tržište pokazuju podaci da su apsolutni farmaceutski rekorderi po rastu prihoda u drugom tromjesečju ove godine upravo dvije tvrtke koje proizvode lijekove za debljinu i dijabetes, i to Novo Nordisk za 32 posto u odnosu na lani, a Eli Lilly 28 posto, jer uz terapiju za dijabetes proizvodi i lijek za mršavljenje tirzepatid tvorničkog imena Mounjaro. Nijedna druga farmaceutska tvrtka na top listi nije imala prihod veći od 11 posto. Ti podaci najbolje pokazuju koji bi to lijekovi idućih desetljeća mogli biti globalni blockbusteri jer se gotovo sa sigurnošću može predvidjeti da će liječenje debljine biti jedan od najvećih zdravstvenih izazova.

Nedavni rezultati treće faze kliničkih ispitivanje Wegovyja mogli bi dodatno povećati njegovu uporabu. Naime, pokazalo se da smanjuje rizik za kardiovaskularne bolesti (srčani ili moždani udar) za više od 20 posto. Studija SELECT rađena je na 17.604 osobe starije od 45 godina koje su imale prekomjernu tjelesnu težini i patile od nekih kardiovaskularnih bolesti. Rezultat studije bit će temelj da Novo Nordisk od nadležnih agencija zatraži proširenje indikacija za korištenje Wegovyja i za prevenciju kardiovaskularnih rizika kod pretilih pacijenata.

Nema dobrih vijesti za one koji bi na brzinu željeli izgubiti višak kilograma! Naime, Wegovy, lijek protiv debljine danske tvrtke Novo Nordisk, koji se primjenjuje jedanput tjedno putem injekcije, a s kojim se u kratkom vremenu može izgubiti i više od 20 posto težine, barem još dvije do tri godine bit će deficitarna "roba" farmaceutskog tržišta.

Gotovo je sigurno, nestašica će biti takva da će tek rijetki moći doći do lijeka. Potvrđuju to i informacije po kojima je Wegovy, premda odobren od FDA za američko i od EMA za europske tržište, zasad prisutan samo u SAD-u, Danskoj, Njemačkoj i Velikoj Britaniji, a ostali su na čekanju.
