Kroz Program razvoja, zaštite i valorizacije pomorske baštine, Splitsko-dalmatinska županija sufinancirala je projekt "Podvodno arheološko rekognosciranje - Svetac" kojeg organizira firma Lestrić d.o.o.

Svrha ove kampanje podvodnih arheoloških rekognosciranja bila je utvrđivanje stanja registriranog antičkog brodoloma uz južnu obalu Svetca kod uvale Slatine na toponimu Pod Stinice, pronalazak pretpostavljenih podvodnih lokaliteta poznatih iz povijesnih izvora ili lokalne predaje (sidrište u uvali Kolac, amforište kod rta Trepina/Hripina, amforište na lokalitetu Bašćanovice, sidrište na lokalitetu Bumbul, amforište pod uvalom Pavlov bok, sidrište zapadno od rta Šijabod), te široki pregled podmorja u svrhu utvrđivanja postojanja potencijalnih novih do sada nepoznatih nalazišta te izrada primarne dokumentacije, utvrđivanje stanja i utvrđivanje perimetra rasprostiranja svih nalazišta. Također predviđeno je vađenje svih potencijalno ugroženih nalaza.

Važno je napomenuti da je s obzirom na važnost otoka Sveca kao pomorskog punkta te broj, očuvanost i značaj podvodnih arheoloških lokaliteta pronađenih u ovoj kampanji, potrebno nastaviti sa rekognosciranjem /pregledom podmorja čitavog akvatorija otoka kako bi se pronašlo još podvodnih lokaliteta kojima ovaj akvatorij obiluje te započinjanje sustavnih arheoloških istraživanja antičkog brodoloma na lokalitetu Pod Stinice, poručuju iz Županije, u sklopu projekta Pomorsko je dobro.

Otok Svetac imao je važan geoprometni značaj na jadranskim pomorskim rutama u antičkom razdoblju što potvrđuju brojni hidrološki arheološki nalazi kao i povijesna pisana svjedočanstva. Uz longitudinalnu dužobalnu plovidbu, transjadranska antička pomorska ruta od Monte Gargana preko Palagruže prema Svecu ili Visu do istočne obale Jadrana (i obrnuto) bila je jedna od važnijih pomorskih pravaca između dviju obala. Sa jugoistočne strane otoka u uvali Slatini utvrđeno je postojanje 12 olovnih prečki antičkih sidara od kojih se jedna sa grčkim natpisom čuva u Arheološkoj zbirci u Hvaru. Isto tako, veliki broj antičkih sidara razbacan je po dnu uvale Kolac na sjeveroistočnoj strani otoka, rečeno je svojedobno  na Prvom međunarodnom simpoziju mladih povjesničara umjetnosti u Splitu.

Kroz Program razvoja, zaštite i valorizacije pomorske baštine, Splitsko-dalmatinska županija sufinancirala je projekt "Podvodno arheološko rekognosciranje - Svetac" kojeg organizira firma Lestrić d.o.o.

Svrha ove kampanje podvodnih arheoloških rekognosciranja bila je utvrđivanje stanja registriranog antičkog brodoloma uz južnu obalu Svetca kod uvale Slatine na toponimu Pod Stinice, pronalazak pretpostavljenih podvodnih lokaliteta poznatih iz povijesnih izvora ili lokalne predaje (sidrište u uvali Kolac, amforište kod rta Trepina/Hripina, amforište na lokalitetu Bašćanovice, sidrište na lokalitetu Bumbul, amforište pod uvalom Pavlov bok, sidrište zapadno od rta Šijabod), te široki pregled podmorja u svrhu utvrđivanja postojanja potencijalnih novih do sada nepoznatih nalazišta te izrada primarne dokumentacije, utvrđivanje stanja i utvrđivanje perimetra rasprostiranja svih nalazišta. Također predviđeno je vađenje svih potencijalno ugroženih nalaza.

Važno je napomenuti da je s obzirom na važnost otoka Sveca kao pomorskog punkta te broj, očuvanost i značaj podvodnih arheoloških lokaliteta pronađenih u ovoj kampanji, potrebno nastaviti sa rekognosciranjem /pregledom podmorja čitavog akvatorija otoka kako bi se pronašlo još podvodnih lokaliteta kojima ovaj akvatorij obiluje te započinjanje sustavnih arheoloških istraživanja antičkog brodoloma na lokalitetu Pod Stinice, poručuju iz Županije, u sklopu projekta Pomorsko je dobro.

Otok Svetac imao je važan geoprometni značaj na jadranskim pomorskim rutama u antičkom razdoblju što potvrđuju brojni hidrološki arheološki nalazi kao i povijesna pisana svjedočanstva. Uz longitudinalnu dužobalnu plovidbu, transjadranska antička pomorska ruta od Monte Gargana preko Palagruže prema Svecu ili Visu do istočne obale Jadrana (i obrnuto) bila je jedna od važnijih pomorskih pravaca između dviju obala. Sa jugoistočne strane otoka u uvali Slatini utvrđeno je postojanje 12 olovnih prečki antičkih sidara od kojih se jedna sa grčkim natpisom čuva u Arheološkoj zbirci u Hvaru. Isto tako, veliki broj antičkih sidara razbacan je po dnu uvale Kolac na sjeveroistočnoj strani otoka, rečeno je svojedobno  na Prvom međunarodnom simpoziju mladih povjesničara umjetnosti u Splitu.

Kroz Program razvoja, zaštite i valorizacije pomorske baštine, Splitsko-dalmatinska županija sufinancirala je projekt "Podvodno arheološko rekognosciranje - Svetac" kojeg organizira firma Lestrić d.o.o.

Svrha ove kampanje podvodnih arheoloških rekognosciranja bila je utvrđivanje stanja registriranog antičkog brodoloma uz južnu obalu Svetca kod uvale Slatine na toponimu Pod Stinice, pronalazak pretpostavljenih podvodnih lokaliteta poznatih iz povijesnih izvora ili lokalne predaje (sidrište u uvali Kolac, amforište kod rta Trepina/Hripina, amforište na lokalitetu Bašćanovice, sidrište na lokalitetu Bumbul, amforište pod uvalom Pavlov bok, sidrište zapadno od rta Šijabod), te široki pregled podmorja u svrhu utvrđivanja postojanja potencijalnih novih do sada nepoznatih nalazišta te izrada primarne dokumentacije, utvrđivanje stanja i utvrđivanje perimetra rasprostiranja svih nalazišta. Također predviđeno je vađenje svih potencijalno ugroženih nalaza.

Važno je napomenuti da je s obzirom na važnost otoka Sveca kao pomorskog punkta te broj, očuvanost i značaj podvodnih arheoloških lokaliteta pronađenih u ovoj kampanji, potrebno nastaviti sa rekognosciranjem /pregledom podmorja čitavog akvatorija otoka kako bi se pronašlo još podvodnih lokaliteta kojima ovaj akvatorij obiluje te započinjanje sustavnih arheoloških istraživanja antičkog brodoloma na lokalitetu Pod Stinice, poručuju iz Županije, u sklopu projekta Pomorsko je dobro.

Otok Svetac imao je važan geoprometni značaj na jadranskim pomorskim rutama u antičkom razdoblju što potvrđuju brojni hidrološki arheološki nalazi kao i povijesna pisana svjedočanstva.
