Tko kaže da električna vozila ne mogu ploviti kroz vodu? Ekipa inženjera, komercijalnih ronilaca i entuzijasta uspješno se provozala električnom Toyota LandCruiser-om preko luke Darwin u Australiji, prešavši oko 7 kilometara. Brod, pardon vozilo, je zaronilo gotovo 30 metara.

Riječ je o Toyoti iz 1987. godine koja je u potpunosti prenamjenjena za električni podvodni pogon. Tom Lawrence, koji je pokrenuo projekt, nazvao ga je Mudcrab jer je narančast i puže po dnu luke Darwin. Uz Lawrenca su inženjera elektrotehnike iz Silicijske doline, a jedan je bio bivši zaposlenik Tesle.

Sad malo o detaljima: gume ovog vozila napunjene su vodom kako bi mogle podnijeti pritisak dubine od gotovo 30 metara, električni LandCruiser pokreće baterija od 32 kWh, a elektromotor je zaštićen od vode "inovativnim inženjerskim tehnikama"...

Nakon što je električni LandCruiser bio spreman, došlo je vrijeme za vožnju. Putovanje je bilo sve samo ne lagano. Tim je ušao u luku Darwin oko 9 ujutro u subotu, jedva savladavši nizbrdicu s puno blata, mulja i pijeska koji su gotovo blokirali Mudcrabsove gume.

Koristeći bove na napuhavanje lancima vezane za automobil, tim je svaki put izvukao automobil iz blata. Očekivali su da će se ponovno pojaviti oko 16 sati. do 17 sati, no putovanje je trajalo gotovo 12 sati. Ali uspjeli su, pojavivši se pred razdraganom publikom oko 21 sat.

Tko kaže da električna vozila ne mogu ploviti kroz vodu? Ekipa inženjera, komercijalnih ronilaca i entuzijasta uspješno se provozala električnom Toyota LandCruiser-om preko luke Darwin u Australiji, prešavši oko 7 kilometara. Brod, pardon vozilo, je zaronilo gotovo 30 metara.

Riječ je o Toyoti iz 1987. godine koja je u potpunosti prenamjenjena za električni podvodni pogon. Tom Lawrence, koji je pokrenuo projekt, nazvao ga je Mudcrab jer je narančast i puže po dnu luke Darwin. Uz Lawrenca su inženjera elektrotehnike iz Silicijske doline, a jedan je bio bivši zaposlenik Tesle.

Sad malo o detaljima: gume ovog vozila napunjene su vodom kako bi mogle podnijeti pritisak dubine od gotovo 30 metara, električni LandCruiser pokreće baterija od 32 kWh, a elektromotor je zaštićen od vode "inovativnim inženjerskim tehnikama"...

Nakon što je električni LandCruiser bio spreman, došlo je vrijeme za vožnju. Putovanje je bilo sve samo ne lagano. Tim je ušao u luku Darwin oko 9 ujutro u subotu, jedva savladavši nizbrdicu s puno blata, mulja i pijeska koji su gotovo blokirali Mudcrabsove gume.

Koristeći bove na napuhavanje lancima vezane za automobil, tim je svaki put izvukao automobil iz blata. Očekivali su da će se ponovno pojaviti oko 16 sati. do 17 sati, no putovanje je trajalo gotovo 12 sati. Ali uspjeli su, pojavivši se pred razdraganom publikom oko 21 sat.

Tko kaže da električna vozila ne mogu ploviti kroz vodu? Ekipa inženjera, komercijalnih ronilaca i entuzijasta uspješno se provozala električnom Toyota LandCruiser-om preko luke Darwin u Australiji, prešavši oko 7 kilometara. Brod, pardon vozilo, je zaronilo gotovo 30 metara.

Riječ je o Toyoti iz 1987. godine koja je u potpunosti prenamjenjena za električni podvodni pogon. Tom Lawrence, koji je pokrenuo projekt, nazvao ga je Mudcrab jer je narančast i puže po dnu luke Darwin. Uz Lawrenca su inženjera elektrotehnike iz Silicijske doline, a jedan je bio bivši zaposlenik Tesle.

Sad malo o detaljima: gume ovog vozila napunjene su vodom kako bi mogle podnijeti pritisak dubine od gotovo 30 metara, električni LandCruiser pokreće baterija od 32 kWh, a elektromotor je zaštićen od vode "inovativnim inženjerskim tehnikama"...

Nakon što je električni LandCruiser bio spreman, došlo je vrijeme za vožnju. Putovanje je bilo sve samo ne lagano. Tim je ušao u luku Darwin oko 9 ujutro u subotu, jedva savladavši nizbrdicu s puno blata, mulja i pijeska koji su gotovo blokirali Mudcrabsove gume.

Koristeći bove na napuhavanje lancima vezane za automobil, tim je svaki put izvukao automobil iz blata. Očekivali su da će se ponovno pojaviti oko 16 sati. do 17 sati, no putovanje je trajalo gotovo 12 sati. Ali uspjeli su, pojavivši se pred razdraganom publikom oko 21 sat.
