Prema podacima organizacije za izdavanje certifikata za održivu morsku hranu i ribarstvo Friend of the Sea, svake godine do čak 20 tisuća kitova ugine u sudaru od brodova. Ova otrežnjujuća statistika dolazi na ovogodišnji Svjetski dan kitova, koji se slavi upravo danas 19. veljače, godišnji dan podizanja svijesti čiji je cilj isticanje izazova s kojima se morski sisavci suočavaju, uključujući klimatske promjene, gubitak staništa i sudare brodova.

Trgovački brodovi najviše štete populaciji kitova koji su još 2016. godine proglašeni ugroženom vrstom. Prema podacima, u posljednjih 20 godina broj kitova u morima i oceanima se prepolovio.

Brodarske tvrtke mogu bolje zaštititi morski život i drastično smanjiti tisuće kitova koje svake godine ubijaju plovila koja prolaze, ako prihvate napredne tehnologije za podršku sigurne plovidbe i poboljšanu svijest o situaciji. MSC Cruises je 2022. dobio nagradu za održive kruzere zahvaljujući rigoroznoj primeni opipljivih mera za zaštitu ugroženih populacija kitova od sudara sa brodovima.

Program "Prijatelj mora" ima za cilj motivirati brodare da smanje rizik od udara kitova. Oznaka „Siguran za kitove" dodjeljuje se onim brodovima koji provode mjere za sprječavanje udara kitova: kombinaciju termalnih kamera, sastava za online dojavu, promjene u brodskim rutama i ima za cilj privući dalju kritičku svijest i podstaknuti kolektivni dijalog prema osmišljavanju učinkovitih rješenja, te u konačnici nužnih promjena u pomorskoj industriji.

Prema podacima organizacije za izdavanje certifikata za održivu morsku hranu i ribarstvo Friend of the Sea, svake godine do čak 20 tisuća kitova ugine u sudaru od brodova. Ova otrežnjujuća statistika dolazi na ovogodišnji Svjetski dan kitova, koji se slavi upravo danas 19. veljače, godišnji dan podizanja svijesti čiji je cilj isticanje izazova s kojima se morski sisavci suočavaju, uključujući klimatske promjene, gubitak staništa i sudare brodova.

Trgovački brodovi najviše štete populaciji kitova koji su još 2016. godine proglašeni ugroženom vrstom. Prema podacima, u posljednjih 20 godina broj kitova u morima i oceanima se prepolovio.

Brodarske tvrtke mogu bolje zaštititi morski život i drastično smanjiti tisuće kitova koje svake godine ubijaju plovila koja prolaze, ako prihvate napredne tehnologije za podršku sigurne plovidbe i poboljšanu svijest o situaciji. MSC Cruises je 2022. dobio nagradu za održive kruzere zahvaljujući rigoroznoj primeni opipljivih mera za zaštitu ugroženih populacija kitova od sudara sa brodovima.

Program "Prijatelj mora" ima za cilj motivirati brodare da smanje rizik od udara kitova. Oznaka „Siguran za kitove" dodjeljuje se onim brodovima koji provode mjere za sprječavanje udara kitova: kombinaciju termalnih kamera, sastava za online dojavu, promjene u brodskim rutama i ima za cilj privući dalju kritičku svijest i podstaknuti kolektivni dijalog prema osmišljavanju učinkovitih rješenja, te u konačnici nužnih promjena u pomorskoj industriji.

Prema podacima organizacije za izdavanje certifikata za održivu morsku hranu i ribarstvo Friend of the Sea, svake godine do čak 20 tisuća kitova ugine u sudaru od brodova. Ova otrežnjujuća statistika dolazi na ovogodišnji Svjetski dan kitova, koji se slavi upravo danas 19. veljače, godišnji dan podizanja svijesti čiji je cilj isticanje izazova s kojima se morski sisavci suočavaju, uključujući klimatske promjene, gubitak staništa i sudare brodova.

Trgovački brodovi najviše štete populaciji kitova koji su još 2016. godine proglašeni ugroženom vrstom. Prema podacima, u posljednjih 20 godina broj kitova u morima i oceanima se prepolovio. 

Brodarske tvrtke mogu bolje zaštititi morski život i drastično smanjiti tisuće kitova koje svake godine ubijaju plovila koja prolaze, ako prihvate napredne tehnologije za podršku sigurne plovidbe i poboljšanu svijest o situaciji. MSC Cruises je 2022. dobio nagradu za održive kruzere zahvaljujući rigoroznoj primeni opipljivih mera za zaštitu ugroženih populacija kitova od sudara sa brodovima.

Program "Prijatelj mora" ima za cilj motivirati brodare da smanje rizik od udara kitova. Oznaka „Siguran za kitove" dodjeljuje se onim brodovima koji provode mjere za sprječavanje udara kitova: kombinaciju termalnih kamera, sastava za online dojavu, promjene u brodskim rutama i ima za cilj privući dalju kritičku svijest i podstaknuti kolektivni dijalog prema osmišljavanju učinkovitih rješenja, te u konačnici nužnih promjena u pomorskoj industriji.
