Golemi valovi, poznati i kao rogue waves, monster waves, freak waves, killer waves, extreme waves i abnormal waves, neočekivani su i nepredvidljivi valovi za koje se često smatralo da su plod fantazije i pomoračkih priča. Sve do 1. siječnja 1995., kad je jedan takav val prošao ispod dvije platforme Draupner za vađenje plina u Sjevernom moru. Za vrijeme kratke, ali žestoke oluje izmjeren je val od gotovo 27 metara, odnosno više od dvostruke visine ostalih valova koji su se za vrijeme te oluje valjali Sjevernim morem.

Kad su norveški tehničari na platformi očitali visinu vala od 26,7 metara, pomislili su da nešto nije u redu s mjernim instrumentima. Nakon što se oluja smirila, po oštećenjima na donjoj strani platforme ustanovili su da je ispod nje stvarno prošao toliki val i da su instrumenti dobro izmjerili njegovu visinu.

Golemi valovi, poznati i kao rogue waves, monster waves, freak waves, killer waves, extreme waves i abnormal waves, neočekivani su i nepredvidljivi valovi za koje se često smatralo da su plod fantazije i pomoračkih priča. Sve do 1. siječnja 1995., kad je jedan takav val prošao ispod dvije platforme Draupner za vađenje plina u Sjevernom moru. Za vrijeme kratke, ali žestoke oluje izmjeren je val od gotovo 27 metara, odnosno više od dvostruke visine ostalih valova koji su se za vrijeme te oluje valjali Sjevernim morem.

Kad su norveški tehničari na platformi očitali visinu vala od 26,7 metara, pomislili su da nešto nije u redu s mjernim instrumentima. Nakon što se oluja smirila, po oštećenjima na donjoj strani platforme ustanovili su da je ispod nje stvarno prošao toliki val i da su instrumenti dobro izmjerili njegovu visinu.

MORSKA PLANINAA mislili su da je plod fantazije i pomorskih priča...: 1995. izmjerili val od od gotovo 27 metara!

Golemi valovi, poznati i kao rogue waves, monster waves, freak waves, killer waves, extreme waves i abnormal waves, neočekivani su i nepredvidljivi valovi za koje se često smatralo da su plod fantazije i pomoračkih priča. Sve do 1. siječnja 1995., kad je jedan takav val prošao ispod dvije platforme Draupner za vađenje plina u Sjevernom moru. Za vrijeme kratke, ali žestoke oluje izmjeren je val od gotovo 27 metara, odnosno više od dvostruke visine ostalih valova koji su se za vrijeme te oluje valjali Sjevernim morem.

Kad su norveški tehničari na platformi očitali visinu vala od 26,7 metara, pomislili su da nešto nije u redu s mjernim instrumentima. Nakon što se oluja smirila, po oštećenjima na donjoj strani platforme ustanovili su da je ispod nje stvarno prošao toliki val i da su instrumenti dobro izmjerili njegovu visinu.
