Kada se jedriličari ne mogu dogovoriti koji vjetar puše, pa ga nazivaju na razne načine svojim, pomalo različitim imenima, jasno je da se događa nešto čudno i nesvakidašnje. Prva etapa Viške regate bila je obilježena upravo takvim čudnovatim smjerom i jačinom vjetra. I napokon se dogodilo to čudo da prvih nekoliko jedrilica doplove do Visa brže nego što je za to potrebno vaporu, kako otočani i dandanas nazivaju trajekt.

Upravo jedriličari dobro znaju da s vjetrom više nema nikakvih nepredviđenih čuda i da današnja prognoza manje ili više odgovara onim uvjetima koje možete uistinu očekivati na moru. Ali prognoza nije nešto determinirano i sigurno, koliko god bila blizu onoga što će se stvarno dogoditi, prognoza je ipak probabilistički model budućih horizontalnih kretanja zračnih masa.

A vjerojatnost, ma koliko bila velika, nije isto što i sigurnost, odnosno determiniranost. A tu najčešće i dolazi do razočaranja i nevjerice, kada se prognoze drži ko pijan plota, pa se unatoč tome tresne o valove ili refule kojih nije trebalo biti.

Toga dana očekivalo se jutarnje jedrenje prema Visu po buri, koja bi tijekom dana trebala potpuno oslabiti, te bi vjetar trebao krajem dana dolaziti sa zapada. Drugim riječima, nakon jutarnjeg burina trebao je zapuhati maestral.

Zbog promjenjive jeseni veću opasnost je trebalo predstavljati sunce i njegove UV zrake, kao i razdoblje bezvjetrice tijekom koje je temperatura trebala dosegnuti vrijednosti po kojima treba razmišljati o povećanom unosu tekućine kako bi se spriječila dehidracija.

Kiša umjesto sunca

Ali eto, dogodilo se čudo. Prognoza je u potpunosti podbacila. Start je bio odgođen s devet sati ujutro za samo jedan sat, jer se činilo da će bura ujutro još uvijek biti dosta jaka, ali ne zadugo. I već nakon samoga starta počele su naznake neuobičajenog vjetra njegovom naglom i neočekivanom promjenom smjera.

Većina nabrijanijih posada zdušno su podigle svoje spinakere da bi samo nekoliko minuta nakon starta jedini mogući kurs sa spinakerima bio prema zapadu, a trebalo je jedriti prema Splitskim vratima, odnosno u smjeru juga gdje se i nalazi otok Vis i cilj prve etape.

Ta početna neuobičajenost s vjetrom se nastavila, za početak se moglo shvatiti da se nešto događa jer je umjesto lijepoga vedrog dana s istoka stizalo sve više oblaka. Vjetar je umjesto očekivanoga gubitka brzine neprestano jačao. Kada su prve jedrilice stigle do Vrata, mnoge su zabilježile refule i preko 30 čvorova, i to upravo u akvatoriju između Šolte i Brača gdje je inače znatno manje vjetra u usporedbi s Bračkim i Viškim kanalom.

A oblaci su već prekrivali čitavo nebo i napredovali prema zapadu. Zatim je počelo lagano kišiti. Očekivao se sunčan dan bez vjetra, a naposljetku je došlo do meteorološkoga fenomena koji uobičajeno nazivamo neverom. I to je bila nevera po levantu ili škuroj buri, kako je većina opisala taj dan.

Već barem dva minula desetljeća na Viškoj regati nastupaju regatne jedrilice koje mogu glisirati i u teoriji bi trebale moći jedriti brže od trajekta. Petar Hektorović, viški vapor, plovi brzinom nešto malo većom od 14 čvorova i dolazi iz Splita u Vis za 2 sata i 20 minuta. Za rutu od tridesetak milja, dodajmo još i vrijeme koje je potrebno za manevar odvezivanja i privezivanja, i dobivamo sasvim očekivano vrijeme putovanja.

Žetva rekorda

A velikim i laganim modernim jedrilicama, koje bi u teoriji mogle biti i brže od Petra Hektorovića, praksa obično nametne ako ništa drugo onda upravo Splitska vrata kao područje mitskih bonaca zbog kojih želje o brzom dolasku nisu ostvarive.

Do sada je rekord držao Dušan Puh s jedrilicom Viharnik. Slovenska posada je jedrila do Visa za 2 sata, 24 minute i 34 sekunde. Sada je rekord i dalje u vlasništvu posade iz Slovenije, ime jedrilice je Generali, a kormilar je član JK Mariborčanka Samo Žvan.

Trebalo im je 2 sata, 14 minuta i 29 sekundi. Uz posadu Generalija stari rekord prestigle su još i jedrilica Paula kojom je kormilario Kolja Dumanić, trebalo im je 2 minute više od Žvanove posade, te Rajko Kujundžić za kormilom Molo Longo Tuttatrieste koji kao treći prolazi linijom cilja nakon 2 sata, 16 minuta i 50 sekundi. Dok je identična jedrilica Toto Travel Tuttatrieste s Mariom Hrvojem za kormilom prošla ciljem za 2 sata, 19 minuta i 41 sekundu.

Sve navedene jedrilice koje su do Visa stigle za manje vremena nego što normalno treba vaporu Jadrolinije su građene od kompozita s ugljikovim vlaknima, osim Koljine Paule, koja je, iz perspektive materijala gradnje uobičajena plastična kanta, i to poprilično stara. Zanimljiva je to ironija jer je Dumanić jedan od eminentnijih samoukih stručnjaka za poslove kod kojih se nešto gradi u kompozitu od – karbonskih vlakana.

Kada se jedriličari ne mogu dogovoriti koji vjetar puše, pa ga nazivaju na razne načine svojim, pomalo različitim imenima, jasno je da se događa nešto čudno i nesvakidašnje. Prva etapa Viške regate bila je obilježena upravo takvim čudnovatim smjerom i jačinom vjetra. I napokon se dogodilo to čudo da prvih nekoliko jedrilica doplove do Visa brže nego što je za to potrebno vaporu, kako otočani i dandanas nazivaju trajekt.

Upravo jedriličari dobro znaju da s vjetrom više nema nikakvih nepredviđenih čuda i da današnja prognoza manje ili više odgovara onim uvjetima koje možete uistinu očekivati na moru. Ali prognoza nije nešto determinirano i sigurno, koliko god bila blizu onoga što će se stvarno dogoditi, prognoza je ipak probabilistički model budućih horizontalnih kretanja zračnih masa.

A vjerojatnost, ma koliko bila velika, nije isto što i sigurnost, odnosno determiniranost. A tu najčešće i dolazi do razočaranja i nevjerice, kada se prognoze drži ko pijan plota, pa se unatoč tome tresne o valove ili refule kojih nije trebalo biti.

Toga dana očekivalo se jutarnje jedrenje prema Visu po buri, koja bi tijekom dana trebala potpuno oslabiti, te bi vjetar trebao krajem dana dolaziti sa zapada. Drugim riječima, nakon jutarnjeg burina trebao je zapuhati maestral.

Zbog promjenjive jeseni veću opasnost je trebalo predstavljati sunce i njegove UV zrake, kao i razdoblje bezvjetrice tijekom koje je temperatura trebala dosegnuti vrijednosti po kojima treba razmišljati o povećanom unosu tekućine kako bi se spriječila dehidracija.

Kiša umjesto sunca

Ali eto, dogodilo se čudo. Prognoza je u potpunosti podbacila. Start je bio odgođen s devet sati ujutro za samo jedan sat, jer se činilo da će bura ujutro još uvijek biti dosta jaka, ali ne zadugo. I već nakon samoga starta počele su naznake neuobičajenog vjetra njegovom naglom i neočekivanom promjenom smjera.

Većina nabrijanijih posada zdušno su podigle svoje spinakere da bi samo nekoliko minuta nakon starta jedini mogući kurs sa spinakerima bio prema zapadu, a trebalo je jedriti prema Splitskim vratima, odnosno u smjeru juga gdje se i nalazi otok Vis i cilj prve etape.

Ta početna neuobičajenost s vjetrom se nastavila, za početak se moglo shvatiti da se nešto događa jer je umjesto lijepoga vedrog dana s istoka stizalo sve više oblaka. Vjetar je umjesto očekivanoga gubitka brzine neprestano jačao. Kada su prve jedrilice stigle do Vrata, mnoge su zabilježile refule i preko 30 čvorova, i to upravo u akvatoriju između Šolte i Brača gdje je inače znatno manje vjetra u usporedbi s Bračkim i Viškim kanalom.

A oblaci su već prekrivali čitavo nebo i napredovali prema zapadu. Zatim je počelo lagano kišiti. Očekivao se sunčan dan bez vjetra, a naposljetku je došlo do meteorološkoga fenomena koji uobičajeno nazivamo neverom. I to je bila nevera po levantu ili škuroj buri, kako je većina opisala taj dan.

Već barem dva minula desetljeća na Viškoj regati nastupaju regatne jedrilice koje mogu glisirati i u teoriji bi trebale moći jedriti brže od trajekta. Petar Hektorović, viški vapor, plovi brzinom nešto malo većom od 14 čvorova i dolazi iz Splita u Vis za 2 sata i 20 minuta. Za rutu od tridesetak milja, dodajmo još i vrijeme koje je potrebno za manevar odvezivanja i privezivanja, i dobivamo sasvim očekivano vrijeme putovanja.

Žetva rekorda

A velikim i laganim modernim jedrilicama, koje bi u teoriji mogle biti i brže od Petra Hektorovića, praksa obično nametne ako ništa drugo onda upravo Splitska vrata kao područje mitskih bonaca zbog kojih želje o brzom dolasku nisu ostvarive.

Do sada je rekord držao Dušan Puh s jedrilicom Viharnik. Slovenska posada je jedrila do Visa za 2 sata, 24 minute i 34 sekunde. Sada je rekord i dalje u vlasništvu posade iz Slovenije, ime jedrilice je Generali, a kormilar je član JK Mariborčanka Samo Žvan.

Trebalo im je 2 sata, 14 minuta i 29 sekundi. Uz posadu Generalija stari rekord prestigle su još i jedrilica Paula kojom je kormilario Kolja Dumanić, trebalo im je 2 minute više od Žvanove posade, te Rajko Kujundžić za kormilom Molo Longo Tuttatrieste koji kao treći prolazi linijom cilja nakon 2 sata, 16 minuta i 50 sekundi. Dok je identična jedrilica Toto Travel Tuttatrieste s Mariom Hrvojem za kormilom prošla ciljem za 2 sata, 19 minuta i 41 sekundu.

Sve navedene jedrilice koje su do Visa stigle za manje vremena nego što normalno treba vaporu Jadrolinije su građene od kompozita s ugljikovim vlaknima, osim Koljine Paule, koja je, iz perspektive materijala gradnje uobičajena plastična kanta, i to poprilično stara. Zanimljiva je to ironija jer je Dumanić jedan od eminentnijih samoukih stručnjaka za poslove kod kojih se nešto gradi u kompozitu od – karbonskih vlakana.
