Postoje različita mišljenja među vrtlarima o tome je li povrće bolje zalijevati ujutro ili navečer, a neki se kunu u zalijevanje toplom vodom. N1 Slovenija razgovarao je sa stručnjakinjom za uzgoj povrća koja kaže kako je točan odgovor samo jedan.

Svibanjski dani donijeli su i dosta kiše pa obilno zalijevanje vrta još nije bilo potrebno. Ali kako postaje toplije i suše, vrtlari se pitaju kada zalijevati vrt kako bi biljke dobile najbolje.

Ujutro ili navečer? “Nema tu rasprave i ne radi se o tome da svaki vrtlar ima svoj način. Svakako je bolje vrt zalijevati ujutro nego navečer“, objašnjava za N1 Slovenija Miša Pušenjak, stručnjakinja za povrtlarstvo i poljoprivredu s Poljoprivredno-šumarskog instituta u Mariboru. “Ujutro se tlo hladi, hladi se i voda (ako se drži u posudama), što znači manji šok za tlo i za biljke.”

Preko dana nikako

„Učinkovitije je jutarnje navodnjavanje jer biljka od jutra do podneva upija hranjive tvari iz tla (moramo voditi računa o suncu, a ne o vremenu pomicanja sata), a poslijepodne ih sintetizira, “ dodaje.

“Biljke nikako ne smijemo zalijevati danju, čak i ako uvenu. Ako ih u to vrijeme namačete ili zalijevate hladnom vodom, može biti kobno, a i opeći ćete lišće ako ga prskate hladnom vodom po vrućem danu“, kaže Pušenjak, dodajući i da su vlažne biljke osjetljivije na bolesti i štetočine.

Miša Pušenjak ističe da je navodnjavanje kap na kap puno bolje za biljke nego zalijevanje kantom za zalijevanje.

Ako ćemo biljke ipak zalijevati navečer, vodu moramo temperirati, savjetuje stručnjakinja. „Ako imamo bunar ili drugi izvor hladne vode, preko dana ga ostavimo u odgovarajućoj posudi (najbolje bijeloj da se ne zagrije) u hladu, nikako na suncu. Voda ne smije biti ni topla ni vruća, ali ne smije biti ni hladna, negdje između 20 i 30 stupnjeva“, kaže Pušenjak i upozorava da ne smijemo zaboraviti crijevo u kojem se voda također može jako zagrijati. Zalijevanje ovom vrućom vodom uništilo bi naš trud.

Također moramo pričekati da biljke “dođu k sebi” prije večernjeg zalijevanja. “Nemojte ih zalijevati rano navečer, ali svakako pričekajte da temperatura padne barem ispod 30 stupnjeva, odnosno za vrijeme toplinskog vala to može biti tek iza 22 ili 23 sata”, upozorava.

Koliko vode?

Biljke koje se nikako ne smiju zalijevati po lišću su plodovite biljke – rajčice, paprike, patlidžani, krastavci, bundeve, tikvice… No za zelenu salatu i kupusnjače, ako su velike vrućine, Pušenjak čak savjetuje da i njih zalijevate po lišću. Ujutro – jer će to ohladiti biljku. “Međutim, pazite da kapljice ne budu preguste”, dodaje.

Koliko vode trebamo? “Posebno za početnike, dobar trik je malo prekopati lopatom da se vidi koliko je duboko voda došla nakon zalijevanja”, savjetuje i kaže da će se mnogi iznenaditi koliko se vode potroši za vrućih dana.

Pušenjak ističe i nužnost malčiranja – voda jako isparava iz gole zemlje. Pokrijemo li ih, primjerice, travom ili slamom, prema riječima Miše Pušenjak, štedimo čak polovicu vode, a malč štiti biljke i od prevelikih promjena temperature.

Postoje različita mišljenja među vrtlarima o tome je li povrće bolje zalijevati ujutro ili navečer, a neki se kunu u zalijevanje toplom vodom. N1 Slovenija razgovarao je sa stručnjakinjom za uzgoj povrća koja kaže kako je točan odgovor samo jedan.

Svibanjski dani donijeli su i dosta kiše pa obilno zalijevanje vrta još nije bilo potrebno. Ali kako postaje toplije i suše, vrtlari se pitaju kada zalijevati vrt kako bi biljke dobile najbolje.

Ujutro ili navečer? “Nema tu rasprave i ne radi se o tome da svaki vrtlar ima svoj način. Svakako je bolje vrt zalijevati ujutro nego navečer“, objašnjava za N1 Slovenija Miša Pušenjak, stručnjakinja za povrtlarstvo i poljoprivredu s Poljoprivredno-šumarskog instituta u Mariboru. “Ujutro se tlo hladi, hladi se i voda (ako se drži u posudama), što znači manji šok za tlo i za biljke.”

Preko dana nikako

„Učinkovitije je jutarnje navodnjavanje jer biljka od jutra do podneva upija hranjive tvari iz tla (moramo voditi računa o suncu, a ne o vremenu pomicanja sata), a poslijepodne ih sintetizira, “ dodaje.

“Biljke nikako ne smijemo zalijevati danju, čak i ako uvenu. Ako ih u to vrijeme namačete ili zalijevate hladnom vodom, može biti kobno, a i opeći ćete lišće ako ga prskate hladnom vodom po vrućem danu“, kaže Pušenjak, dodajući i da su vlažne biljke osjetljivije na bolesti i štetočine.

Miša Pušenjak ističe da je navodnjavanje kap na kap puno bolje za biljke nego zalijevanje kantom za zalijevanje.

Ako ćemo biljke ipak zalijevati navečer, vodu moramo temperirati, savjetuje stručnjakinja. „Ako imamo bunar ili drugi izvor hladne vode, preko dana ga ostavimo u odgovarajućoj posudi (najbolje bijeloj da se ne zagrije) u hladu, nikako na suncu. Voda ne smije biti ni topla ni vruća, ali ne smije biti ni hladna, negdje između 20 i 30 stupnjeva“, kaže Pušenjak i upozorava da ne smijemo zaboraviti crijevo u kojem se voda također može jako zagrijati. Zalijevanje ovom vrućom vodom uništilo bi naš trud.

Također moramo pričekati da biljke “dođu k sebi” prije večernjeg zalijevanja. “Nemojte ih zalijevati rano navečer, ali svakako pričekajte da temperatura padne barem ispod 30 stupnjeva, odnosno za vrijeme toplinskog vala to može biti tek iza 22 ili 23 sata”, upozorava.

Koliko vode?

Biljke koje se nikako ne smiju zalijevati po lišću su plodovite biljke – rajčice, paprike, patlidžani, krastavci, bundeve, tikvice… No za zelenu salatu i kupusnjače, ako su velike vrućine, Pušenjak čak savjetuje da i njih zalijevate po lišću. Ujutro – jer će to ohladiti biljku. “Međutim, pazite da kapljice ne budu preguste”, dodaje.

Koliko vode trebamo? “Posebno za početnike, dobar trik je malo prekopati lopatom da se vidi koliko je duboko voda došla nakon zalijevanja”, savjetuje i kaže da će se mnogi iznenaditi koliko se vode potroši za vrućih dana.

Pušenjak ističe i nužnost malčiranja – voda jako isparava iz gole zemlje. Pokrijemo li ih, primjerice, travom ili slamom, prema riječima Miše Pušenjak, štedimo čak polovicu vode, a malč štiti biljke i od prevelikih promjena temperature.
