U općinskoj vijećnici u Jelsi danas su općine Jelsa, Sućuraj te gradovi Stari Grad i Hvar, lokalne samouprave na Hvaru, te općina Bol sa Brača potpisale memorandum o suradnji za smanjenje svjetlosnog onečišćenja i očuvanje prirodnog zvjezdanog neba.

„Mi načelnici Općine Jelsa Nikša Peronja, Općine Sućuraj Ivan Slavić, Općine Bol Katarina Marčić i gradonačelnici Grada Starog Grada Antonio Škarpa i Grada Hvara Rikardo Novak, svjesni štetnosti svjetlosnog onečišćenja za prirodni okoliš, ljudsko zdravlje i potrebe za očuvanjem prirodnog zvjezdanog neba za buduće generacije, potpisujemo ovaj MEMORANDUM O SURADNJI za smanjenje svjetlosnog onečišćenja i očuvanje prirodnog zvjezdanog neba …“, piše u dokumentu.

Potpisivanjem memoranduma spomenute lokalne samouprave izjavile su da će surađivati i savjetovati se s Hrvatskim astronomskim savezom kao jamcem ovog sporazuma kod izgradnje i rekonstrukcije vanjske rasvjete te da će se truditi poštovati osnovna načela dobre prakse za vanjsku rasvjetu: korisnost, usmjerenost, niska razina rasvijetljenosti i topla boja svjetla.

Prilikom potpisivanja sporazuma Nikša Peronja izrazio je zadovoljstvo što su susjedne lokalne samouprave pokazale spremnost na suradnju i želju za praćenjem dobrog primjera Općine Jelsa u pitanju ekološkog načina uređenja javne rasvjete budući da se Jelsa uskoro kandidira za titulu Međunarodna zajednica tamnog neba kod Međunarodne organizacije za zaštitu noćnog neba (International Dark Sky Association) i trebala bi postati prva takva zajednica u Hrvatskoj.

Dorian Božičević, glavni tajnik Hrvatskog astronomskog saveza koji vodi postupak prijave Općine Jelsa za titulu Međunarodna zajednica tamnog neba, istaknuo je važnost osnovnih načela dobre prakse za vanjsku rasvjetu jer ako se ona poštuju, štedimo energiju i smanjujemo naš energetski otisak i samim time smanjujemo utjecaj na klimatske promjene i štedimo proračun.

Uz sve to štitimo okoliš i ljudsko zdravlje te zvjezdano nebo kao baštinu koju je potrebno očuvati za buduće generacije kako bi se ljudi i u budućnosti mogli diviti ljepotama zvjezdanog neba i Mliječne staze.

Baš se ta baštinska vrijednost noćnog neba našla u centru pozornosti s obzirom na to da je očuvano prirodno zvjezdano nebo danas turistički proizvod i omogućuje dodatnu turističku ponudu u smjeru astroturizma jer trebamo biti svjesni činjenice da je u današnje vrijeme, radi velikog svjetlosnog onečišćenja, Mliječnu stazu mogao u životu vidjeti tek svaki deseti stanovnik planeta Zemlje.

Božičević je svoje obraćanje zaključio Senekinim citatom: "Da se zvijezde, mjesto što sjaje uvijek nad našim glavama, mogu vidjeti samo s jedne točke na Zemlji, ljudi ne bi prestali u gomilama onamo putovati, da motre nebo i da se dive čudesima neba."

Budući da načelnica općine Bol i gradonačelnik Staroga Grada nisu mogli fizički prisustvovati potpisivanju memoranduma, svoje su potpise dostavili ranije.

Potpisivanju je nazočila i direktorica jelšanske Turističke zajednice Marija Marjan s obzirom na to da je na inicijativu TZ-a pokrenut postupak za proglašenje Općine Jelsa Međunarodnom zajednicom tamnog neba.

U općinskoj vijećnici u Jelsi danas su općine Jelsa, Sućuraj te gradovi Stari Grad i Hvar, lokalne samouprave na Hvaru, te općina Bol sa Brača potpisale memorandum o suradnji za smanjenje svjetlosnog onečišćenja i očuvanje prirodnog zvjezdanog neba.

„Mi načelnici Općine Jelsa Nikša Peronja, Općine Sućuraj Ivan Slavić, Općine Bol Katarina Marčić i gradonačelnici Grada Starog Grada Antonio Škarpa i Grada Hvara Rikardo Novak, svjesni štetnosti svjetlosnog onečišćenja za prirodni okoliš, ljudsko zdravlje i potrebe za očuvanjem prirodnog zvjezdanog neba za buduće generacije, potpisujemo ovaj MEMORANDUM O SURADNJI za smanjenje svjetlosnog onečišćenja i očuvanje prirodnog zvjezdanog neba …“, piše u dokumentu.

Potpisivanjem memoranduma spomenute lokalne samouprave izjavile su da će surađivati i savjetovati se s Hrvatskim astronomskim savezom kao jamcem ovog sporazuma kod izgradnje i rekonstrukcije vanjske rasvjete te da će se truditi poštovati osnovna načela dobre prakse za vanjsku rasvjetu: korisnost, usmjerenost, niska razina rasvijetljenosti i topla boja svjetla.

Prilikom potpisivanja sporazuma Nikša Peronja izrazio je zadovoljstvo što su susjedne lokalne samouprave pokazale spremnost na suradnju i želju za praćenjem dobrog primjera Općine Jelsa u pitanju ekološkog načina uređenja javne rasvjete budući da se Jelsa uskoro kandidira za titulu Međunarodna zajednica tamnog neba kod Međunarodne organizacije za zaštitu noćnog neba (International Dark Sky Association) i trebala bi postati prva takva zajednica u Hrvatskoj.

Dorian Božičević, glavni tajnik Hrvatskog astronomskog saveza koji vodi postupak prijave Općine Jelsa za titulu Međunarodna zajednica tamnog neba, istaknuo je važnost osnovnih načela dobre prakse za vanjsku rasvjetu jer ako se ona poštuju, štedimo energiju i smanjujemo naš energetski otisak i samim time smanjujemo utjecaj na klimatske promjene i štedimo proračun.

Uz sve to štitimo okoliš i ljudsko zdravlje te zvjezdano nebo kao baštinu koju je potrebno očuvati za buduće generacije kako bi se ljudi i u budućnosti mogli diviti ljepotama zvjezdanog neba i Mliječne staze.

Baš se ta baštinska vrijednost noćnog neba našla u centru pozornosti s obzirom na to da je očuvano prirodno zvjezdano nebo danas turistički proizvod i omogućuje dodatnu turističku ponudu u smjeru astroturizma jer trebamo biti svjesni činjenice da je u današnje vrijeme, radi velikog svjetlosnog onečišćenja, Mliječnu stazu mogao u životu vidjeti tek svaki deseti stanovnik planeta Zemlje.

Božičević je svoje obraćanje zaključio Senekinim citatom: "Da se zvijezde, mjesto što sjaje uvijek nad našim glavama, mogu vidjeti samo s jedne točke na Zemlji, ljudi ne bi prestali u gomilama onamo putovati, da motre nebo i da se dive čudesima neba."

Budući da načelnica općine Bol i gradonačelnik Staroga Grada nisu mogli fizički prisustvovati potpisivanju memoranduma, svoje su potpise dostavili ranije.

Potpisivanju je nazočila i direktorica jelšanske Turističke zajednice Marija Marjan s obzirom na to da je na inicijativu TZ-a pokrenut postupak za proglašenje Općine Jelsa Međunarodnom zajednicom tamnog neba.
