Maslinari s otoka Hvara, upravo kao i iz brojnih drugih mjesta u Dalmaciji, već dugo gledaju u nebo.

Kiše nema ni za lijek, dugotrajnu sušu slobodno možemo nazvati elementarnom nepogodom. I to se događa već treću godinu zaredom, što će se svakako odraziti na urod plodova, ali i cijenu maslinovog ulja nakon ovogodišnje berbe.

- U početku je izgledalo da će ovo biti prosječna godina, međutim, nije bilo prave kiše oko blagdana svetog Ivana, a ni oko Velike Gospe. Jednostavno suše su takve da me naprosto iznenađuje da se masline uopće uspijevaju održati.

Na svojih 670 stabala jedne godine sam ubrao 20 tona ploda, lani devet, a sada će biti još manje. Kada su prinosi slabiji i ulja bude manje, pa će mu uz povećane troškove proizvodnje zasigurno i cijena biti veća – kazao je Ivo Lučić poznat po nadimku Kompozitor iz Poljica, jedan od vodećih maslinara na škoju.

Stručnjaci, veli naš sugovornik, predlažu zalijevanje stabala, kao da zaboravljaju da ni nekoliko mjesta na istočnom dijelu Hvara - Poljica, Zastražišće, Gdinj i Bogomolje - nemaju vodovodnu mrežu. Do mnogih imanja se još uvijek stiže kozjim stazama, i to se naprosto ne može činiti.

Maslinara i glazbenika zatekli smo s gošćama u njegovoj konobi, on svoje ulje već godinama dobrim dijelom proda na kućnom pragu. Kod njega jedan decilitar pakiranog ulja košta 50 kuna, pakiranje od dva i pol decilitra 70 kuna, pola litre 100 kuna, a butelja od litre - 130 kuna.

- Nema više plastike, kupci hoće ulje u staklu i najviše traže upravo te butelje, ali u zadnje vrijeme je doslovno sve poskupjelo - umjetno gnojivo, benzin, zaštitna sredstva, ambalaža..., a govore da će i prerada ići gore.

Kako onda cijena može ostati ista, a i kada svoj rad ne računamo, procjenjujem da ćemo troškove pokriti taman sa 100 kuna za litru. Uglavnom, pomoći nemamo od nikoga, pa mislim da će se nakon slijedeće berbe cijena litre ulja na škoju kretati od 120 sve do 150 kuna – tvrdi Lučić.

Težaci s pomnjom slušaju riječi ministrice poljoprivrede Marije Vučković, koja je u zadnje vrijeme doista spominjala probleme s kojima se zbog ekstremne suše susreću naši poljoprivrednici. Vlada je najavila 200 milijuna kuna izvanredne pomoći, na što mogu računati oni koji su stvarno u nezavidnoj situaciji.

Hvarski maslinari smatraju da je kod njih upravo takvo stanje, jer plodovi se zbog manjka padalina suše i jednostavno otpadaju. Potvrdu što se na otoku doista događa zbog klimatskih promjena nalazimo i na službenim stranicama Državnog hidrometeorološkog zavoda, gdje stoji da je na tom području u prvih sedam mjeseci ove godine palo ukupno 113,3 litara kiše po četvornom metru.

Dakle, nedovoljno da sa zemlje i prašinu digne, stoga ministrice Vučković, kada budete dijelili šolde za posljedice suše, ne zaboravite ni otočne težake koji žive i mukotrpno rade upravo tamo gdje sunce najjače grije.

Maslinari s otoka Hvara, upravo kao i iz brojnih drugih mjesta u Dalmaciji, već dugo gledaju u nebo.

Kiše nema ni za lijek, dugotrajnu sušu slobodno možemo nazvati elementarnom nepogodom. I to se događa već treću godinu zaredom, što će se svakako odraziti na urod plodova, ali i cijenu maslinovog ulja nakon ovogodišnje berbe.

- U početku je izgledalo da će ovo biti prosječna godina, međutim, nije bilo prave kiše oko blagdana svetog Ivana, a ni oko Velike Gospe. Jednostavno suše su takve da me naprosto iznenađuje da se masline uopće uspijevaju održati.

Na svojih 670 stabala jedne godine sam ubrao 20 tona ploda, lani devet, a sada će biti još manje. Kada su prinosi slabiji i ulja bude manje, pa će mu uz povećane troškove proizvodnje zasigurno i cijena biti veća – kazao je Ivo Lučić poznat po nadimku Kompozitor iz Poljica, jedan od vodećih maslinara na škoju.

Stručnjaci, veli naš sugovornik, predlažu zalijevanje stabala, kao da zaboravljaju da ni nekoliko mjesta na istočnom dijelu Hvara - Poljica, Zastražišće, Gdinj i Bogomolje - nemaju vodovodnu mrežu. Do mnogih imanja se još uvijek stiže kozjim stazama, i to se naprosto ne može činiti.

Maslinara i glazbenika zatekli smo s gošćama u njegovoj konobi, on svoje ulje već godinama dobrim dijelom proda na kućnom pragu. Kod njega jedan decilitar pakiranog ulja košta 50 kuna, pakiranje od dva i pol decilitra 70 kuna, pola litre 100 kuna, a butelja od litre - 130 kuna.

- Nema više plastike, kupci hoće ulje u staklu i najviše traže upravo te butelje, ali u zadnje vrijeme je doslovno sve poskupjelo - umjetno gnojivo, benzin, zaštitna sredstva, ambalaža..., a govore da će i prerada ići gore.

Kako onda cijena može ostati ista, a i kada svoj rad ne računamo, procjenjujem da ćemo troškove pokriti taman sa 100 kuna za litru. Uglavnom, pomoći nemamo od nikoga, pa mislim da će se nakon slijedeće berbe cijena litre ulja na škoju kretati od 120 sve do 150 kuna – tvrdi Lučić.

Težaci s pomnjom slušaju riječi ministrice poljoprivrede Marije Vučković, koja je u zadnje vrijeme doista spominjala probleme s kojima se zbog ekstremne suše susreću naši poljoprivrednici. Vlada je najavila 200 milijuna kuna izvanredne pomoći, na što mogu računati oni koji su stvarno u nezavidnoj situaciji.

Hvarski maslinari smatraju da je kod njih upravo takvo stanje, jer plodovi se zbog manjka padalina suše i jednostavno otpadaju. Potvrdu što se na otoku doista događa zbog klimatskih promjena nalazimo i na službenim stranicama Državnog hidrometeorološkog zavoda, gdje stoji da je na tom području u prvih sedam mjeseci ove godine palo ukupno 113,3 litara kiše po četvornom metru.

Dakle, nedovoljno da sa zemlje i prašinu digne, stoga ministrice Vučković, kada budete dijelili šolde za posljedice suše, ne zaboravite ni otočne težake koji žive i mukotrpno rade upravo tamo gdje sunce najjače grije.
