Dopredsjednica udruge Danica Vukelić napomenula je da se danas obilježava 174. obljetnica rođenja jednoga od najvećih hrvatskih književnika koji je bio jedan od najobrazovanijih ljudi svoga vremena i jedan od najvećih humanista tog doba u Zagrebu. Udruga "August Šenoa", dodala je, više od 30 godina obilježava obljetnicu rođenja toga hrvatskog pisca u sklopu svoji aktivnosti očuvanja naše kulture i jezika.

Predsjednik Udruge "August Šenoa" Ivan Dujmović podsjetio je na velik Šenoin književni opus ali i na njegov društveni rad u Zagrebu u 19. stoljeću. On je u svom kratkom životu bio jedan od prvih ljudi koji su bili proglašeni počasnim građaninom Zagreba, dodao je.

Šenoa je bio jednako Zagreboljub, domoljub ali i europski čovjek i dokaz kako se voli svoja zemlja i voli Europa i svijet, rekao je zagrebački gradonačelnik Milan Bandić. Hrvatska ide u Europu i sa Šenooom ali i s Ujevićem, Krležom, Matošem i drugim hrvatskim književnicima, dodao je.

August Šenoa rođen je 14. studenoga 1838., a umro je 13. prosinca 1881. Jedan od najvećih hrvatskih književnika, pisao je realističke pripovijesti i podlistke iz suvremenoga života, pjesme i povijesne romane te kazališne kritike. Zaslužan je za stvaranje moderne hrvatske proze. Među važnijim njegovim djelima ističu se "Zlatarovo zlato", "Seljačka buna", "Čuvaj se senjske ruke", "Diogenes", "Prosjak Luka" i "Kletva".

Dopredsjednica udruge Danica Vukelić napomenula je da se danas obilježava 174. obljetnica rođenja jednoga od najvećih hrvatskih književnika koji je bio jedan od najobrazovanijih ljudi svoga vremena i jedan od najvećih humanista tog doba u Zagrebu. Udruga "August Šenoa", dodala je, više od 30 godina obilježava obljetnicu rođenja toga hrvatskog pisca u sklopu svoji aktivnosti očuvanja naše kulture i jezika.

Predsjednik Udruge "August Šenoa" Ivan Dujmović podsjetio je na velik Šenoin književni opus ali i na njegov društveni rad u Zagrebu u 19. stoljeću. On je u svom kratkom životu bio jedan od prvih ljudi koji su bili proglašeni počasnim građaninom Zagreba, dodao je.

Šenoa je bio jednako Zagreboljub, domoljub ali i europski čovjek i dokaz kako se voli svoja zemlja i voli Europa i svijet, rekao je zagrebački gradonačelnik Milan Bandić. Hrvatska ide u Europu i sa Šenooom ali i s Ujevićem, Krležom, Matošem i drugim hrvatskim književnicima, dodao je.

August Šenoa rođen je 14. studenoga 1838., a umro je 13. prosinca 1881. Jedan od najvećih hrvatskih književnika, pisao je realističke pripovijesti i podlistke iz suvremenoga života, pjesme i povijesne romane te kazališne kritike. Zaslužan je za stvaranje moderne hrvatske proze. Među važnijim njegovim djelima ističu se "Zlatarovo zlato", "Seljačka buna", "Čuvaj se senjske ruke", "Diogenes", "Prosjak Luka" i "Kletva".
