Vis je jedini dio Jugoslavije koji nikad nije osvojila njemačka vojska, u to vrijeme je na njemu bila smještena saveznička vojna zračna luka. Tito se tamo sklonio u lipnju 1944. nakon njemačkog desanta na Drvar i do zauzimanja Beograda u listopadu 1944. otok je funkcionirao kao glavni štab partizanskih vlasti i savezničkih vojnih misija te je bilo logično da nakon završetka rata ostane tajno sklonište.

Nitko sa sigurnošću ne zna koliko su dugački podzemni kompleksi, jer je JNA sa sobom odnijela i svu pripadajuću  dokumentaciju. Ipak, uvriježeno je mišljenje da je se radi o 37 vojnih objekata, uključujući i podzemnu vojnu bolnicu i tunel za zaklon ratnih brodova. U modernoj Hrvatskoj sva ta robusna infrastruktura zjapi prazna i napuštena, premda je u vlasništvu vojske. O njoj najviše vode računa lokalne turističke agencije koje vode turiste u razgledavanje podzemlja, a oni koji znaju gdje se nalaze ulazi, mogu i sami ući unutra. 

Uklesane u unutrašnjosti kamenog brda u uvali Rogačić, nalaze se prostorije za ratne brodove, ljudstvo, te razna teška i laka naoružanja. Između svih tunela i prostorija su brojna protuprovalna vrata koja i danas uredno funkcioniraju. Zanimljiv je ulaz za rakete, koji je viši od deset metara. Bio je nevidljiv iz zraka i mora, jer je prekriven zaštitnom mrežom na koju je nalijepljena imitacija kamena od stiropora, a slično su i izlazi iz tunela kamuflirani kao stare kamene kućice kako bi zavarale neprijatelja. Položaji za topove vire iz kamenih stijena.

Glavni tunel dugačak je petstotinjak metara, a izlazi na drugu stranu brda. U pokrajnjim prostorijama nalaze se spremišta za rakete koja su i danas pokrivena pločicama. Pločice su bile bitne zbog kondenziranja vlage i lakšeg održavanja budući da je samo pogonsko gorivo bilo iznimno otrovno. Unutra su spavaonice od stotinjak kvadratnih metara, prostor priručnih agregata, zapovjedno mjesto i bolničke prostorije. Sve je to uklesano u kamenu duboko u brdu, a posada je imala nužne izlaze na njegovu vrhu. Izlazi su kamuflirani kao stare kamene kućice da bi se zavaralo neprijatelja.

Prežba, Lastovsko otočje

Nakon drugog svjetskog rata Lastovo je doživjelo istu sudbinu kao i Vis – postalo je otok rezerviran za vojsku, a pristup stranim državljanima je bio zabranjen. To je, nažalost, dovelo do ekonomske stagnacije i depopulacije otoka, ali istovremeno i omogućilo očuvanje prirode. Nakon što je Hrvatska proglasila samostalnost, pripadnici JNA su tamo ostali sve do 30. svibnja 1992. u 03:30 sati, kada su konačno napustili otočje.

Uvala Bokašin, Dugi otok

Riječ je o jednom od čak tri tunela kojima raspolaže ovaj srednjodalmatinski otok i koji je štitio Zadar i njegovu okolicu od stranih invazija. Drugi se također nalazi u blizini mjesta Dragove, dok je treći u nedalekoj uvali Zagračini.

Uvala Maslinova, Brač

Ova uvala se nalazi na južnoj obali otoka, nedaleko od Milne. Sagrađen je u sklopu nacističke osmatračnice na Vidovoj gori i zgrade sjedište u Nerežišćima koji i dalje stoje izrešetani mecima.

Tvrđava sv. Nikole, Šibenik

“Hitlerove oči” je naziv za bunker koji je izgrađen u kanalu Sv. Ante. Gradnju je započela nacistička njemačka. Izgrađen je za smještaj Schnellboot-ova, ali nikad nije korišten za prvobitnu namjenu. Krajem rata ostao je samo prokopana stijena, koju je zatim JNA preuzela, betonirala i koristila za istu ili sličnu namjenu.

Vis je jedini dio Jugoslavije koji nikad nije osvojila njemačka vojska, u to vrijeme je na njemu bila smještena saveznička vojna zračna luka. Tito se tamo sklonio u lipnju 1944. nakon njemačkog desanta na Drvar i do zauzimanja Beograda u listopadu 1944. otok je funkcionirao kao glavni štab partizanskih vlasti i savezničkih vojnih misija te je bilo logično da nakon završetka rata ostane tajno sklonište.

Nitko sa sigurnošću ne zna koliko su dugački podzemni kompleksi, jer je JNA sa sobom odnijela i svu pripadajuću  dokumentaciju. Ipak, uvriježeno je mišljenje da je se radi o 37 vojnih objekata, uključujući i podzemnu vojnu bolnicu i tunel za zaklon ratnih brodova. U modernoj Hrvatskoj sva ta robusna infrastruktura zjapi prazna i napuštena, premda je u vlasništvu vojske. O njoj najviše vode računa lokalne turističke agencije koje vode turiste u razgledavanje podzemlja, a oni koji znaju gdje se nalaze ulazi, mogu i sami ući unutra. 

Uklesane u unutrašnjosti kamenog brda u uvali Rogačić, nalaze se prostorije za ratne brodove, ljudstvo, te razna teška i laka naoružanja. Između svih tunela i prostorija su brojna protuprovalna vrata koja i danas uredno funkcioniraju. Zanimljiv je ulaz za rakete, koji je viši od deset metara. Bio je nevidljiv iz zraka i mora, jer je prekriven zaštitnom mrežom na koju je nalijepljena imitacija kamena od stiropora, a slično su i izlazi iz tunela kamuflirani kao stare kamene kućice kako bi zavarale neprijatelja. Položaji za topove vire iz kamenih stijena.

Glavni tunel dugačak je petstotinjak metara, a izlazi na drugu stranu brda. U pokrajnjim prostorijama nalaze se spremišta za rakete koja su i danas pokrivena pločicama. Pločice su bile bitne zbog kondenziranja vlage i lakšeg održavanja budući da je samo pogonsko gorivo bilo iznimno otrovno. Unutra su spavaonice od stotinjak kvadratnih metara, prostor priručnih agregata, zapovjedno mjesto i bolničke prostorije. Sve je to uklesano u kamenu duboko u brdu, a posada je imala nužne izlaze na njegovu vrhu. Izlazi su kamuflirani kao stare kamene kućice da bi se zavaralo neprijatelja.

Prežba, Lastovsko otočje

Nakon drugog svjetskog rata Lastovo je doživjelo istu sudbinu kao i Vis – postalo je otok rezerviran za vojsku, a pristup stranim državljanima je bio zabranjen. To je, nažalost, dovelo do ekonomske stagnacije i depopulacije otoka, ali istovremeno i omogućilo očuvanje prirode. Nakon što je Hrvatska proglasila samostalnost, pripadnici JNA su tamo ostali sve do 30. svibnja 1992. u 03:30 sati, kada su konačno napustili otočje.

Uvala Bokašin, Dugi otok

Riječ je o jednom od čak tri tunela kojima raspolaže ovaj srednjodalmatinski otok i koji je štitio Zadar i njegovu okolicu od stranih invazija. Drugi se također nalazi u blizini mjesta Dragove, dok je treći u nedalekoj uvali Zagračini.

Ova uvala se nalazi na južnoj obali otoka, nedaleko od Milne. Sagrađen je u sklopu nacističke osmatračnice na Vidovoj gori i zgrade sjedište u Nerežišćima koji i dalje stoje izrešetani mecima.

Tvrđava sv. Nikole, Šibenik

“Hitlerove oči” je naziv za bunker koji je izgrađen u kanalu Sv. Ante. Gradnju je započela nacistička njemačka. Izgrađen je za smještaj Schnellboot-ova, ali nikad nije korišten za prvobitnu namjenu. Krajem rata ostao je samo prokopana stijena, koju je zatim JNA preuzela, betonirala i koristila za istu ili sličnu namjenu.
