- Nakon izuzetno ekstremnih olujnih pojava nad našim područjem, još sutra očekujemo promjenjivo vrijeme, povremeno s kišom i malo više oblaka, a nakon toga ponovno stabilnije i toplije vrijeme. Dakle, ljeto nam se vraća u pravom svijetlu. Slijedi mali predah od ovih oluja. Crveni alarm će se ugasiti najvjerojatnije noćas - otkriva u Briefingu glavna ravnateljica Državnog hidrometeorološkog zavoda dr. sc. Branka Ivančan-Picek. Međutim, upozorava da je jadranska obala kao i veći dio Sredozemlja pod utjecajem jako toplog vremena što stvara povećani rizik od izbijanja šumskih požara. Proljeće je, dodaje, bilo izuzetno kišno, raslinje je bujalo, a sada se osušilo i stvorilo veliki gorivi potencijal.

- Nadamo se da će noćas i sutra malo kiše pasti i u Dalmaciji i smanjiti taj potencijal, ali dodatni problem stvara jako jugo koje trenutno puše na Jadranu - ističe Ivančan-Picek napominjući da je ovo ljeto u Hrvatskoj donijelo već tri toplinska vala što je malo više od prosjeka, a takvo je vrijeme pogodno za nastanak olujnih nevremena kada nam preko Alpa dolazi hladniji i vlažniji zrak.

- Takvih je oluja bilo i jučer, ima ih lokalno i danas. Nisu onolikog intenziteta kao prošli tjedan. Oluja od prošle srijede je iznenadila i nas meteorologe po svojoj žestini, ali i velikoj rasprostranjenosti jer je cijeli sjever Hrvatske bio izložen jakom nevremenu koje se je izuzetno brzo kretalo od zapada prema istoku brzinom od preko 70 kilometra na sat. Maksimalni udari vjetra u Zagrebu su bili 90 kilometara na sat, a kako se oluja kretala prema Slavoniji, ona se još više hranila toplinom slavonske ravnica i u Gradištu kod Županje je izmjerena brzina vjetra od 180 kilometara na sat. Tako nešto se otkad postoje mjerenja u Hrvatskoj, od sredine 19. stoljeća, nije dogodilo - zaključuje Ivančan-Picek. Dodaje da je DHMZ 24 sata prije velike oluje izdao narančasto upozorenje da bi kada se vidjelo da oluja jača podigao na crveno što znači da sigurno oluja stiže i da se ljudi trebaju skloniti i zaštititi kako ne bi nastradali.

- Što se tiče komunikacije s javnošću, možda smo mogli to i drugačije napraviti, poboljšati. Iz toga smo svi nešto naučili i u budućnosti će najave takvih oluja možda biti malo bolje iskomunicirane s javnošću. Oluja je Zagreb pogodila kada su se ljudi vraćali s posla i puno ih je bilo na ulicama, u automobilima i javnom prijevozu i svi su zbog nevremena htjeli što prije doći kući umjesto da se sklone na sigurno. Za sustav ranog uzbunjivanja je zaduženo Ravnateljstvo civilne zaštite pri MUP-u i s njima izuzetno dobro surađujemo. Na razini države se razvija sustav ranog uzbunjivanja i obavješćivanja građana o pojavama ne samo vremenskih nego i drugih opasnosti. Taj sustav još nije potpuno operativan. Bio je testiran početkom lipnja. Od sredine kolovoza ćemo ga imati - kaže Ivančan-Picek i pojašnjava kako to podrazumijeva da će građani dojave o vremenskim i drugim nepogodama dobivati i putem SMS poruka. Kada su u pitanju vremenske nepogode, o slanju SMS-ova će odlučivati ravnatelj DHMZ-a ili osoba koju on ovlasti. Do informacija će građani, naravno, i dalje dolaziti kao i sada putem medija.

Oko 20:30 Velu Luku na otoku Korculi je pogodilo kratko nevrijeme koje je donijelo tucu i velike oscilacije plime i oseke, a trajalo je svega par minuta. Prije toga su turisti i mjestani zadivljeno fotografrali nebo i oblake vertikalnog razvoja koji su najavili kisu.

- Nakon izuzetno ekstremnih olujnih pojava nad našim područjem, još sutra očekujemo promjenjivo vrijeme, povremeno s kišom i malo više oblaka, a nakon toga ponovno stabilnije i toplije vrijeme. Dakle, ljeto nam se vraća u pravom svijetlu. Slijedi mali predah od ovih oluja. Crveni alarm će se ugasiti najvjerojatnije noćas - otkriva u Briefingu glavna ravnateljica Državnog hidrometeorološkog zavoda dr. sc. Branka Ivančan-Picek. Međutim, upozorava da je jadranska obala kao i veći dio Sredozemlja pod utjecajem jako toplog vremena što stvara povećani rizik od izbijanja šumskih požara. Proljeće je, dodaje, bilo izuzetno kišno, raslinje je bujalo, a sada se osušilo i stvorilo veliki gorivi potencijal.

- Nadamo se da će noćas i sutra malo kiše pasti i u Dalmaciji i smanjiti taj potencijal, ali dodatni problem stvara jako jugo koje trenutno puše na Jadranu - ističe Ivančan-Picek napominjući da je ovo ljeto u Hrvatskoj donijelo već tri toplinska vala što je malo više od prosjeka, a takvo je vrijeme pogodno za nastanak olujnih nevremena kada nam preko Alpa dolazi hladniji i vlažniji zrak.

- Takvih je oluja bilo i jučer, ima ih lokalno i danas. Nisu onolikog intenziteta kao prošli tjedan. Oluja od prošle srijede je iznenadila i nas meteorologe po svojoj žestini, ali i velikoj rasprostranjenosti jer je cijeli sjever Hrvatske bio izložen jakom nevremenu koje se je izuzetno brzo kretalo od zapada prema istoku brzinom od preko 70 kilometra na sat. Maksimalni udari vjetra u Zagrebu su bili 90 kilometara na sat, a kako se oluja kretala prema Slavoniji, ona se još više hranila toplinom slavonske ravnica i u Gradištu kod Županje je izmjerena brzina vjetra od 180 kilometara na sat. Tako nešto se otkad postoje mjerenja u Hrvatskoj, od sredine 19. stoljeća, nije dogodilo - zaključuje Ivančan-Picek. Dodaje da je DHMZ 24 sata prije velike oluje izdao narančasto upozorenje da bi kada se vidjelo da oluja jača podigao na crveno što znači da sigurno oluja stiže i da se ljudi trebaju skloniti i zaštititi kako ne bi nastradali.

- Što se tiče komunikacije s javnošću, možda smo mogli to i drugačije napraviti, poboljšati. Iz toga smo svi nešto naučili i u budućnosti će najave takvih oluja možda biti malo bolje iskomunicirane s javnošću. Oluja je Zagreb pogodila kada su se ljudi vraćali s posla i puno ih je bilo na ulicama, u automobilima i javnom prijevozu i svi su zbog nevremena htjeli što prije doći kući umjesto da se sklone na sigurno. Za sustav ranog uzbunjivanja je zaduženo Ravnateljstvo civilne zaštite pri MUP-u i s njima izuzetno dobro surađujemo. Na razini države se razvija sustav ranog uzbunjivanja i obavješćivanja građana o pojavama ne samo vremenskih nego i drugih opasnosti. Taj sustav još nije potpuno operativan. Bio je testiran početkom lipnja. Od sredine kolovoza ćemo ga imati - kaže Ivančan-Picek i pojašnjava kako to podrazumijeva da će građani dojave o vremenskim i drugim nepogodama dobivati i putem SMS poruka. Kada su u pitanju vremenske nepogode, o slanju SMS-ova će odlučivati ravnatelj DHMZ-a ili osoba koju on ovlasti. Do informacija će građani, naravno, i dalje dolaziti kao i sada putem medija.
