Nekako u sjeni obljetnice pada Vukovara, svake se godine 18. studenog u Škabrnji komemorira pokolj 43 hrvatska civila, koji su 1991. počinili pripadnici JNA-a i srpski pobunjenici.

Ali, kada bi se tamo tog datuma pojavio predsjednik SDSS-a Milorad Pupovac, bila bi to možda vijest dana. Njega, međutim, niti ove godine neće biti na obilježavanju godišnjice škabrnjske tragedije, ali ne zato što Pupovac to ne bi htio, piše Novi list.

Dok je u Škabrnji vlast obnašao HDZ, Pupovcu je, premda im je on važan koalicijski partner na nacionalnoj razini, jasno bilo govoreno da nije dobrodošao. Prije nekoliko mjeseci je HDZ izgubio lokalne izbore i prešao u opoziciju, za načelnika Općine Škabrnja izabran je neovisni Ivan Škara, ali stav o Pupovcu ostao je isti. Ni Škara, koji je nekad bio član HDZ-a, ne bi htio da predsjednik SDSS-a 18. studenog bude nazočan komemoraciji.

– Ne mogu ja ništa nikome zabraniti, ali znam da u Škabrnji situacija još nije sazrela da bi ljudi primili Milorada Pupovca. Nemaju naši mještani ništa protiv bilo koga, ali protiv Pupovca zaista jesu.

Ja sam mlad čovjek, imam 30 godina i stvarno nisam opterećen ratom, ali, osluškujući građane jednostavno zaključujem da još nije vrijeme. Pupovčev dolazak bio bi ipak preosjetljiv. Da je netko drugi predsjednik SDSS-a, vjerojatno se u vezi s tim ne bi dizala tolika buka, ali Pupovac je tu iz našeg kraja i stoga poseban problem, rekao nam je Škara.

Što bi se trebalo dogoditi u Škabrnji pa da Pupovac, koji je već i javno izražavao tu želju, može mirno doći na komemoraciju u spomen na pobijene Hrvate.

– Mislim da bi se trebalo izmijeniti još nekoliko generacija Škabrnjana. Ili da se Pupovac politički promijeni, što ne znam koliko je realno, ističe načelnik Općine Škabrnja.

On je u prvom krugu lokalnih izbora pobijedio dotadašnjeg načelnika Nediljka Bubnjara iz HDZ-a, koji je prošle godine Pupovcu otvoreno rekao da nema što tražiti u Škabrnji.

Razmišljao je Pupovac, rođen u blizini Benkovca, i ovih dana o odlasku u Škabrnju, ali kada su mu novinari Novog lista prenijeli stav načelnika Općine Škare, odustao je od toga.

– Razgovarao sam s ljudima s kojima radim na politici izmirenja i promjene komemorativnih praksi o Škabrnji. To što sam ja iz tog kraja zapravo bi trebao biti dodatan razlog da dođem u Škabrnju. Kao i to što se za vrijeme rata na tom području događalo između Srba i Hrvata. Ali, u nekim su sredinama osjetljiviji nego drugdje na još uvijek prisutnu, a ponekad i dominantnu, retoriku o tome kako se i na koji način mora odnositi prema Srbima u Hrvatskoj. Ukoliko netko ne želi napraviti iskorak, ukoliko odbija slijediti državnu politiku, ja to ne mogu promijeniti. Bit ću stoga 18. studenoga na nekom drugom mjestu stradanja pripadnika srpskog ili hrvatskog naroda, kojih, nažalost, postoji i previše, a gdje nikome neće biti problem da se pojavim na komemoraciji, kazao je Pupovac.

Nekako u sjeni obljetnice pada Vukovara, svake se godine 18. studenog u Škabrnji komemorira pokolj 43 hrvatska civila, koji su 1991. počinili pripadnici JNA-a i srpski pobunjenici.

Ali, kada bi se tamo tog datuma pojavio predsjednik SDSS-a Milorad Pupovac, bila bi to možda vijest dana. Njega, međutim, niti ove godine neće biti na obilježavanju godišnjice škabrnjske tragedije, ali ne zato što Pupovac to ne bi htio, piše Novi list.

Dok je u Škabrnji vlast obnašao HDZ, Pupovcu je, premda im je on važan koalicijski partner na nacionalnoj razini, jasno bilo govoreno da nije dobrodošao. Prije nekoliko mjeseci je HDZ izgubio lokalne izbore i prešao u opoziciju, za načelnika Općine Škabrnja izabran je neovisni Ivan Škara, ali stav o Pupovcu ostao je isti. Ni Škara, koji je nekad bio član HDZ-a, ne bi htio da predsjednik SDSS-a 18. studenog bude nazočan komemoraciji.

– Ne mogu ja ništa nikome zabraniti, ali znam da u Škabrnji situacija još nije sazrela da bi ljudi primili Milorada Pupovca. Nemaju naši mještani ništa protiv bilo koga, ali protiv Pupovca zaista jesu.

Ja sam mlad čovjek, imam 30 godina i stvarno nisam opterećen ratom, ali, osluškujući građane jednostavno zaključujem da još nije vrijeme. Pupovčev dolazak bio bi ipak preosjetljiv. Da je netko drugi predsjednik SDSS-a, vjerojatno se u vezi s tim ne bi dizala tolika buka, ali Pupovac je tu iz našeg kraja i stoga poseban problem, rekao nam je Škara.

Što bi se trebalo dogoditi u Škabrnji pa da Pupovac, koji je već i javno izražavao tu želju, može mirno doći na komemoraciju u spomen na pobijene Hrvate.

– Mislim da bi se trebalo izmijeniti još nekoliko generacija Škabrnjana. Ili da se Pupovac politički promijeni, što ne znam koliko je realno, ističe načelnik Općine Škabrnja.

On je u prvom krugu lokalnih izbora pobijedio dotadašnjeg načelnika Nediljka Bubnjara iz HDZ-a, koji je prošle godine Pupovcu otvoreno rekao da nema što tražiti u Škabrnji.

Razmišljao je Pupovac, rođen u blizini Benkovca, i ovih dana o odlasku u Škabrnju, ali kada su mu novinari Novog lista prenijeli stav načelnika Općine Škare, odustao je od toga.

– Razgovarao sam s ljudima s kojima radim na politici izmirenja i promjene komemorativnih praksi o Škabrnji. To što sam ja iz tog kraja zapravo bi trebao biti dodatan razlog da dođem u Škabrnju. Kao i to što se za vrijeme rata na tom području događalo između Srba i Hrvata. Ali, u nekim su sredinama osjetljiviji nego drugdje na još uvijek prisutnu, a ponekad i dominantnu, retoriku o tome kako se i na koji način mora odnositi prema Srbima u Hrvatskoj. Ukoliko netko ne želi napraviti iskorak, ukoliko odbija slijediti državnu politiku, ja to ne mogu promijeniti. Bit ću stoga 18. studenoga na nekom drugom mjestu stradanja pripadnika srpskog ili hrvatskog naroda, kojih, nažalost, postoji i previše, a gdje nikome neće biti problem da se pojavim na komemoraciji, kazao je Pupovac.

Nekako u sjeni obljetnice pada Vukovara, svake se godine 18. studenog u Škabrnji komemorira pokolj 43 hrvatska civila, koji su 1991. počinili pripadnici JNA-a i srpski pobunjenici.

Ali, kada bi se tamo tog datuma pojavio predsjednik SDSS-a Milorad Pupovac, bila bi to možda vijest dana. Njega, međutim, niti ove godine neće biti na obilježavanju godišnjice škabrnjske tragedije, ali ne zato što Pupovac to ne bi htio, piše Novi list.

Dok je u Škabrnji vlast obnašao HDZ, Pupovcu je, premda im je on važan koalicijski partner na nacionalnoj razini, jasno bilo govoreno da nije dobrodošao. Prije nekoliko mjeseci je HDZ izgubio lokalne izbore i prešao u opoziciju, za načelnika Općine Škabrnja izabran je neovisni Ivan Škara, ali stav o Pupovcu ostao je isti. Ni Škara, koji je nekad bio član HDZ-a, ne bi htio da predsjednik SDSS-a 18. studenog bude nazočan komemoraciji.

– Ne mogu ja ništa nikome zabraniti, ali znam da u Škabrnji situacija još nije sazrela da bi ljudi primili Milorada Pupovca. Nemaju naši mještani ništa protiv bilo koga, ali protiv Pupovca zaista jesu.
