Već nekih sedam godina bijeli golub Tonči (mada nitko nikad nije utvrdio je li on  Tonči ili Tonka) svaki dan u isti sat, negdje izmđu podne i jedan, sleti ispred kafića Aba na zadarskom Poluotoku - na ručak. 

Nitko ne zna kako je ili zbog koga Tonči zavolio Abu, ali je jasno zašto - tu mu je dnevni obrok osiguran. Uvijek netko od zaposlenika ili gostiju kafića baci šaku mrvica ili komada kruha i on je zadovoljan. Ponekad mu se za ručak pokušaju pridružiti i drugi gradski golubovi ali se uglavnom loše provedu - Tonči ih ljutito rastjera, ipak je to njegov teritorij i njegov ručak.

Ono po čemu je pitomi Tonči koji ne bježi od ljudi, iako ga još nitko nije uspio namamiti u ruke, poseban je to što je - stopostotni invalid. Naime, nema desnu nogu, pa trčkara uz pomoć njezinog ostatka. Vjerovatno je ostao bez nje  u nekoj davnoj bitki s jednom od proždrljivih varoških mačaka koja je tada, očito, ostala gladna. 

Kako stvari stoje, po Tončiju bi mogli doznati stvarni životni vijek golubova. Ako jednom neka druga mačka ne bude brža. Već su mogle naučiti kad ga i gdje svakog dana mogu pronaći.

Već nekih sedam godina bijeli golub Tonči (mada nitko nikad nije utvrdio je li on  Tonči ili Tonka) svaki dan u isti sat, negdje izmđu podne i jedan, sleti ispred kafića Aba na zadarskom Poluotoku - na ručak. 

Nitko ne zna kako je ili zbog koga Tonči zavolio Abu, ali je jasno zašto - tu mu je dnevni obrok osiguran. Uvijek netko od zaposlenika ili gostiju kafića baci šaku mrvica ili komada kruha i on je zadovoljan. Ponekad mu se za ručak pokušaju pridružiti i drugi gradski golubovi ali se uglavnom loše provedu - Tonči ih ljutito rastjera, ipak je to njegov teritorij i njegov ručak.

Ono po čemu je pitomi Tonči koji ne bježi od ljudi, iako ga još nitko nije uspio namamiti u ruke, poseban je to što je - stopostotni invalid. Naime, nema desnu nogu, pa trčkara uz pomoć njezinog ostatka. Vjerovatno je ostao bez nje  u nekoj davnoj bitki s jednom od proždrljivih varoških mačaka koja je tada, očito, ostala gladna. 

Kako stvari stoje, po Tončiju bi mogli doznati stvarni životni vijek golubova. Ako jednom neka druga mačka ne bude brža. Već su mogle naučiti kad ga i gdje svakog dana mogu pronaći.
