Ukrajinci su obavijestili američkog predsjednika Joe Bidena da planiraju smijeniti najvišeg vojnog zapovjednika generala Valerija Zalužnog. Potvrdila su to dva visoka izvora za Reuters. Kao što je poznato zapovjednik ukrajinske vojske Zalužni je duže vrijeme u sukobu s predsjednikom Volodimirom Zelenskim oko vojne strategije i drugih pitanja, nakon što ukrajinska vojska u prošlogodišnjoj protuofenzivi nije uspjela osloboditi značajniji teritorij od Rusije.

Izvor blizak uredu Zelenskog rekao je da se njih dvojica također nisu složila oko nove vojne mobilizacije, a predsjednik se protivio Zalužnijevom prijedlogu da se pozove 500.000 novih vojnika. Izvor dodaje da je proces razrješenja Zalužnog s dužnosti vrhovnog zapovjednika ukrajinskih oružanih snaga za sada na čekanju jer dužnosnici razmatraju tko će ga zamijeniti. Drugi visoki izvor rekao je da Bijela kuća nije izrazila stav o planiranoj smjeni Zalužnog. "Naglasio bih da je odgovor Bijele kuće bio da ne podupiru niti se protive njihovoj suverenoj odluci", rekao je Reutersu upućeni izvor.

"Bijela kuća je izrazila da je na Ukrajini da donosi vlastite suverene odluke o svojim kadrovima", dodao je. Ugledni Washington Post prvi je izvijestio da je Ukrajina obavijestila Bijelu kuću o planu smjene Zalužnog. Američki dužnosnici rekli su Ukrajini da se ne protive otpuštanju, rekao je izvor blizak uredu ukrajinskog predsjednika.

Nagađanja o problemima između predsjednika i vrhovnog zapovjednika prvi put su se pojavila već kratko nakon ruske invazije u proljeće 2022., a intenzivirala su se u ljeto iste godine. Razlog je navodno bila politička ljubomora predsjednika ili njegove okoline na popularnost generala. Zelenski je tada pokušao demantirati te spekulacije, među ostalim i objavom zajedničke fotografije sa Zalužnim.

Glasine su tada utihnule, no opet su u studenome 2023. opet postale javne. Tada je Zalužni u intervjuu i članku za britanski časopis Economist najavio prelazak na rovovsko ratovanje i priznao da protuofenziva ukrajinske vojske nije uspjela. Zelenski mu je djelomično proturječio, rekavši da na frontu nema zastoja. Sukob je postajao sve očitiji.

Bez savjetovanja s vrhovnim zapovjednikom predsjednik je smijenio više časnika i počeo komunicirati s generalima zaobilazeći Zalužnog. Krajem studenoga zastupnica predsjednikove stranke Sluga naroda Marjana Besuhla otvoreno je tražila ostavku Zalužnog, optuživši ga da nema ratni plan za 2024. godinu.

Kasnije je veliku raspravu u zemlji izazvala najava novog zakona o mobilizaciji. Prvi nacrt je kasnije revidiran. A onda je došlo i do obaranja ruskog vojnog transportnog aviona Il-76 nedaleko od Belgoroda u Rusiji. Rusija tvrdi da su u avionu bili deseci ukrajinskih ratnih zarobljenika namijenjenih razmjeni te da su avion oborile ukrajinske snage. Predsjednik Zelenski pozvao je na međunarodnu istragu katastrofe.

Ukrajinci su obavijestili američkog predsjednika Joe Bidena da planiraju smijeniti najvišeg vojnog zapovjednika generala Valerija Zalužnog. Potvrdila su to dva visoka izvora za Reuters. Kao što je poznato zapovjednik ukrajinske vojske Zalužni je duže vrijeme u sukobu s predsjednikom Volodimirom Zelenskim oko vojne strategije i drugih pitanja, nakon što ukrajinska vojska u prošlogodišnjoj protuofenzivi nije uspjela osloboditi značajniji teritorij od Rusije.

Izvor blizak uredu Zelenskog rekao je da se njih dvojica također nisu složila oko nove vojne mobilizacije, a predsjednik se protivio Zalužnijevom prijedlogu da se pozove 500.000 novih vojnika. Izvor dodaje da je proces razrješenja Zalužnog s dužnosti vrhovnog zapovjednika ukrajinskih oružanih snaga za sada na čekanju jer dužnosnici razmatraju tko će ga zamijeniti. Drugi visoki izvor rekao je da Bijela kuća nije izrazila stav o planiranoj smjeni Zalužnog. "Naglasio bih da je odgovor Bijele kuće bio da ne podupiru niti se protive njihovoj suverenoj odluci", rekao je Reutersu upućeni izvor.

Ugledni Washington Post prvi je izvijestio da je Ukrajina obavijestila Bijelu kuću o planu smjene Zalužnog. Američki dužnosnici rekli su Ukrajini da se ne protive otpuštanju, rekao je izvor blizak uredu ukrajinskog predsjednika.

Nagađanja o problemima između predsjednika i vrhovnog zapovjednika prvi put su se pojavila već kratko nakon ruske invazije u proljeće 2022., a intenzivirala su se u ljeto iste godine. Razlog je navodno bila politička ljubomora predsjednika ili njegove okoline na popularnost generala. Zelenski je tada pokušao demantirati te spekulacije, među ostalim i objavom zajedničke fotografije sa Zalužnim.

Glasine su tada utihnule, no opet su u studenome 2023. opet postale javne. Tada je Zalužni u intervjuu i članku za britanski časopis Economist najavio prelazak na rovovsko ratovanje i priznao da protuofenziva ukrajinske vojske nije uspjela. Zelenski mu je djelomično proturječio, rekavši da na frontu nema zastoja. Sukob je postajao sve očitiji.

Bez savjetovanja s vrhovnim zapovjednikom predsjednik je smijenio više časnika i počeo komunicirati s generalima zaobilazeći Zalužnog. Krajem studenoga zastupnica predsjednikove stranke Sluga naroda Marjana Besuhla otvoreno je tražila ostavku Zalužnog, optuživši ga da nema ratni plan za 2024. godinu.

Kasnije je veliku raspravu u zemlji izazvala najava novog zakona o mobilizaciji. Prvi nacrt je kasnije revidiran. A onda je došlo i do obaranja ruskog vojnog transportnog aviona Il-76 nedaleko od Belgoroda u Rusiji. Rusija tvrdi da su u avionu bili deseci ukrajinskih ratnih zarobljenika namijenjenih razmjeni te da su avion oborile ukrajinske snage. Predsjednik Zelenski pozvao je na međunarodnu istragu katastrofe.
