Čelnici 27 zemalja članica dali su jednoglasnu potporu za novi petogodišnji mandat sadašnjem predsjedniku Europske komisije Joseu Manuelu Barrosu kojemu je sada potrebna potpora Europskog parlamenta da bude i službeno imenovan, izjavio je u petak rano ujutro predsjedatelj Europskog vijeća, češki premijer Jan Fischer.

"Zadovoljstvo mi je što je Barroso dobio potporu čelnika, izjavio je Fischer.

Barroso je rekao da je ne "samo ponosan, nego i ganut" jednoglasnom potporom čelnika zemalja članica Europske unije.

Čelnici Češke i Švedske, sadašnjeg i budućeg predsjedništva EU-a dobili su mandat da počnu razgovore s Europskim parlamentom o imenovanju Barrosa na još jedan petogodišnji mandat. Očekuje se da će Parlament potvrditi Barrosa na svojoj prvoj plenarnoj sjednici sredinom srpnja u Strasbourgu.

Barroso je izabran prema odredbama sada važećeg Ugovora iz Nice, a ostali članovi Europske komisije bit će imenovani kad bude jasno hoće li na snagu stupiti Lisabonski ugovor. Mandat sadašnjoj Komisiji istječe 31. listopada.

Čelnici 27 zemalja članica dali su jednoglasnu potporu za novi petogodišnji mandat sadašnjem predsjedniku Europske komisije Joseu Manuelu Barrosu kojemu je sada potrebna potpora Europskog parlamenta da bude i službeno imenovan, izjavio je u petak rano ujutro predsjedatelj Europskog vijeća, češki premijer Jan Fischer.

"Zadovoljstvo mi je što je Barroso dobio potporu čelnika, izjavio je Fischer.

Barroso je rekao da je ne "samo ponosan, nego i ganut" jednoglasnom potporom čelnika zemalja članica Europske unije.

Čelnici Češke i Švedske, sadašnjeg i budućeg predsjedništva EU-a dobili su mandat da počnu razgovore s Europskim parlamentom o imenovanju Barrosa na još jedan petogodišnji mandat. Očekuje se da će Parlament potvrditi Barrosa na svojoj prvoj plenarnoj sjednici sredinom srpnja u Strasbourgu.

Barroso je izabran prema odredbama sada važećeg Ugovora iz Nice, a ostali članovi Europske komisije bit će imenovani kad bude jasno hoće li na snagu stupiti Lisabonski ugovor. Mandat sadašnjoj Komisiji istječe 31. listopada.
