Palestinski predsjednik Mahmud Abas priznao je u utorak da je njegova stranka Fatah koja se okupila na općem saboru na Zapadnoj obali, počinila pogreške koje su uzrok njezina poraza u sučeljavanju s Hamasom u Gazi i pozvao ju je na novi početak.

- Zbog ometanja mirovnog procesa, ali i zbog naših pogrešaka, zbog toga što javnost nije prihvatila neke naše odluke, zbog slabih rezultata, udaljavanja od razmišljanja naroda i naše slabe stege, izgubili smo parlamentarne izbore (2006.) i zatim smo izgubili Gazu - rekao je Abas pred izaslanicima svoje stranke u Betlehemu.

Fatah koji je dotad imao potpuni nadzor nad Palestinskom samoupravom, na izborima su do nogu potukli islamisti iz Hamasa koji su ga nakon 18 mjeseci burne kohabitacije na vlasti nasilu protjerali iz Pojasa Gaze.

Abas koji predvodi Fatah nakon smrti njegova povijesnog vođe Jasera Arafata 2004., pozvao je u tom smislu izaslanike na saboru da na njemu "utvrde platformu za novi početak".

- Ovaj sabor mora biti platforma za novi početak, za konsolidaciju naše borbe kako bismo ostvarili svoje glavne zadaće: oslobođenje i neovisnost - rekao je.

Riječ je o prvom općem kongresu palestinskog povijesnog pokreta od 1989. i tek šestom od njegova osnutka potkraj 1950-ih.

Na ovom trodnevnom skupu oko 1.900 izaslanika obnovit će Glavni odbor i Revolucionarno vijeće, glavna tijela Fataha te će prihvatiti novi politički program.

Pripreme za sabor omelo je odbijanje Hamasa da četiristotinjak izaslanika Fataha iz Gaze odobri ulazak na Zapadnu obalu.

Palestinski predsjednik Mahmud Abas priznao je u utorak da je njegova stranka Fatah koja se okupila na općem saboru na Zapadnoj obali, počinila pogreške koje su uzrok njezina poraza u sučeljavanju s Hamasom u Gazi i pozvao ju je na novi početak.

- Zbog ometanja mirovnog procesa, ali i zbog naših pogrešaka, zbog toga što javnost nije prihvatila neke naše odluke, zbog slabih rezultata, udaljavanja od razmišljanja naroda i naše slabe stege, izgubili smo parlamentarne izbore (2006.) i zatim smo izgubili Gazu - rekao je Abas pred izaslanicima svoje stranke u Betlehemu.

Fatah koji je dotad imao potpuni nadzor nad Palestinskom samoupravom, na izborima su do nogu potukli islamisti iz Hamasa koji su ga nakon 18 mjeseci burne kohabitacije na vlasti nasilu protjerali iz Pojasa Gaze.

Abas koji predvodi Fatah nakon smrti njegova povijesnog vođe Jasera Arafata 2004., pozvao je u tom smislu izaslanike na saboru da na njemu "utvrde platformu za novi početak".

- Ovaj sabor mora biti platforma za novi početak, za konsolidaciju naše borbe kako bismo ostvarili svoje glavne zadaće: oslobođenje i neovisnost - rekao je.

Riječ je o prvom općem kongresu palestinskog povijesnog pokreta od 1989. i tek šestom od njegova osnutka potkraj 1950-ih.

Na ovom trodnevnom skupu oko 1.900 izaslanika obnovit će Glavni odbor i Revolucionarno vijeće, glavna tijela Fataha te će prihvatiti novi politički program.

Pripreme za sabor omelo je odbijanje Hamasa da četiristotinjak izaslanika Fataha iz Gaze odobri ulazak na Zapadnu obalu.
