Sa 20 godina ovaj mladi div sa Gripa, već je iskusio borbe protiv najboljih judoka i sada finale Europskog prvenstva za mlađe seniore (do 23 godine).

U finalu kategorije do 100 kilograma, bolji je ovaj put od njega bio Talijan Domenico Di Guida. Inače „studenta“ Kumrića ždrijeb u Wroclavu ga nije „mazio“, već u prvom kolu pobijedio drugog nositelja turnira i jednog od velikih favorita Rusa Ruslana Kiseljeva, u drugom kolu je bio bolji od Izraelca Petera Paltchika, dok je put u finale potvrdio protiv domaćeg predstavnika Kamila Niedziele.

- Moglo je i bolje, ali je sve OK, može proći. Došao sam na turnir hladne glave, ovo je posljednji turnir u sezoni, sada slijedi odmor, pa ono bilo je i pristup „što bude – bit će“. rus Kiseljev je bio tvrd, bacio me na dva yuka, bilo je otvoreno, malo i tuče. Uzvratio sam u bacanjem za wazari i do kraja odigrao kako treba.

Izraelac je imao malo nesreće, ali to je sport i meni se mogla dogoditi diskvalifikacija. Za Poljaka sam znao da dobro radi niske tehnike i trener Tomo i ja smo se dogovorili kako ćemo s njim. U finalu je di Guido se pokazao boljim taktičarom, bilo je gusto, ali tako je završilo – ispričao je Kumrić svoj put do srebra.

Za mladog Splićanina ovo je godina iz snova, vratio se na tatami nakon ozbiljnih zdravstvenih problema, osvojio je europsku juniorsku brončanu medalju u Bukureštu, na svjetskom prvenstvu u američkom Fort Lauderdaleu na Floridi je bio peti, izgubio je meč za broncu, da bi sada u Poljskoj postao prvi hrvatski judaš u povijest koji je osvojio medalju na EP-u do 23 godine. Godinu će dočekati kao treći judaš svijeta u kategoriji do 100 kilograma na IJF listama.

- Nisam znao da sam prvi koji je osvojio ovu medalju, nema veze, idemo dalje raditi, lijepo je znati. Nakon razočaranja na svjetskom prvenstvu kada se izgubio za broncu bio sam razočaran. Sada slijedi sigurno tjedan dana odmora i onda ću zajedno sa Tomislavom napraviti program priprema za novu sezonu – ispričao je Kumrić, srebrni Studentov div.

Druga hrvatska predstavnica novo ovom natjecanju Tena Šikić zauzela je 7. mjesto u kategoriji do 52 kilograma.

U finalu kategorije do 100 kilograma, bolji je ovaj put od njega bio Talijan Domenico Di Guida. Inače „studenta“ Kumrića ždrijeb u Wroclavu ga nije „mazio“, već u prvom kolu pobijedio drugog nositelja turnira i jednog od velikih favorita Rusa Ruslana Kiseljeva, u drugom kolu je bio bolji od Izraelca Petera Paltchika, dok je put u finale potvrdio protiv domaćeg predstavnika Kamila Niedziele.

- Moglo je i bolje, ali je sve OK, može proći. Došao sam na turnir hladne glave, ovo je posljednji turnir u sezoni, sada slijedi odmor, pa ono bilo je i pristup „što bude – bit će“. rus Kiseljev je bio tvrd, bacio me na dva yuka, bilo je otvoreno, malo i tuče. Uzvratio sam u bacanjem za wazari i do kraja odigrao kako treba.

Izraelac je imao malo nesreće, ali to je sport i meni se mogla dogoditi diskvalifikacija. Za Poljaka sam znao da dobro radi niske tehnike i trener Tomo i ja smo se dogovorili kako ćemo s njim. U finalu je di Guido se pokazao boljim taktičarom, bilo je gusto, ali tako je završilo – ispričao je Kumrić svoj put do srebra.

Za mladog Splićanina ovo je godina iz snova, vratio se na tatami nakon ozbiljnih zdravstvenih problema, osvojio je europsku juniorsku brončanu medalju u Bukureštu, na svjetskom prvenstvu u američkom Fort Lauderdaleu na Floridi je bio peti, izgubio je meč za broncu, da bi sada u Poljskoj postao prvi hrvatski judaš u povijest koji je osvojio medalju na EP-u do 23 godine. Godinu će dočekati kao treći judaš svijeta u kategoriji do 100 kilograma na IJF listama.

- Nisam znao da sam prvi koji je osvojio ovu medalju, nema veze, idemo dalje raditi, lijepo je znati. Nakon razočaranja na svjetskom prvenstvu kada se izgubio za broncu bio sam razočaran. Sada slijedi sigurno tjedan dana odmora i onda ću zajedno sa Tomislavom napraviti program priprema za novu sezonu – ispričao je Kumrić, srebrni Studentov div.

Druga hrvatska predstavnica novo ovom natjecanju Tena Šikić zauzela je 7. mjesto u kategoriji do 52 kilograma.
