Ministar zdravstva Vili Beroš je u nedjelju najavio kako će u Hrvatskoj do kraja ove godine biti uveden nacionalni program ranog otkrivanja melanoma jer je smrtnost osoba s novootkrivenim melanomom 30 posto što je, kako je upozorio, iznimno velika brojka.
"Među prvima u svijetu uvest ćemo novi nacionalni program ranog otkrivanja melanoma," istaknuo je Beroš na konferenciji za novinare u Kninu gdje se danas provodi akcija pregleda 250 prijavljenih pacijenata s kninskog i drniškog područja radi otkrivanja melanoma.

Do konferencije za novinare pregledano je 106 pacijenata i među njim je, kako je izvijestio ministar, sedam posto otkrivenih melanoma.
"Tih sedam posto rano otkrivenih melanoma znači sedam posto spašenih života," objasnio je Beroš.
Naglasio je kako se u Hrvatskoj kasno detektira melanom, a čak 50 posto stanovništva se ne štiti od sunca - jednog od glavnih uzročnika pojave melanoma na koži.

Voditeljica Referentnog centra Ministarstva zdravstva za melanom pri KBC-u Sestre milosrdnice Mirna Šitum je istaknula kako je prema podacima iz 2020. godine u Hrvatskoj godišnje u prosjeku od melanom obolijevalo oko 1.000 osoba.
"Prosječno se godišnje povećava broj novooboljelih za 150, a to je zabrinjavajuća brojka," upozorila je Šitum.
Dodala je kako je u tijeku pripremanje stručnjaka za "veći opseg" oboljelih od melanoma.

Šitum je navela kako je melanom bolest šestog i sedmog desetljeća života, ali se češće pojavljuje i u mlađoj populaciji.
Kazala je kako je Hrvatska po postotku smrtnosti oboljelih od melanoma na drugom mjestu u Europskoj uniji. Navela je primjer skandinavskih zemalja gdje je stanovništvo svjetlije puti, a time i osjetljivije na izloženost suncu, no u tim je zemljama smrtnost od melanoma dva posto a u Hrvatskoj 30 posto.

Beroš i Šitum su više put pozvali građane da se žurno jave obiteljskom liječniku ako primijete nešto na koži, te će obiteljski liječnik procijeniti je li potreban hitan specijalistički pregled.
"Koža pamti našu izloženost suncu te se kao posljedica toga pojavljuje melanom," rekao je ministar Beroš.

Ministar zdravstva Vili Beroš je u nedjelju najavio kako će u Hrvatskoj do kraja ove godine biti uveden nacionalni program ranog otkrivanja melanoma jer je smrtnost osoba s novootkrivenim melanomom 30 posto što je, kako je upozorio, iznimno velika brojka.
"Među prvima u svijetu uvest ćemo novi nacionalni program ranog otkrivanja melanoma," istaknuo je Beroš na konferenciji za novinare u Kninu gdje se danas provodi akcija pregleda 250 prijavljenih pacijenata s kninskog i drniškog područja radi otkrivanja melanoma.

Do konferencije za novinare pregledano je 106 pacijenata i među njim je, kako je izvijestio ministar, sedam posto otkrivenih melanoma.
"Tih sedam posto rano otkrivenih melanoma znači sedam posto spašenih života," objasnio je Beroš.
Naglasio je kako se u Hrvatskoj kasno detektira melanom, a čak 50 posto stanovništva se ne štiti od sunca - jednog od glavnih uzročnika pojave melanoma na koži.

Voditeljica Referentnog centra Ministarstva zdravstva za melanom pri KBC-u Sestre milosrdnice Mirna Šitum je istaknula kako je prema podacima iz 2020. godine u Hrvatskoj godišnje u prosjeku od melanom obolijevalo oko 1.000 osoba.
"Prosječno se godišnje povećava broj novooboljelih za 150, a to je zabrinjavajuća brojka," upozorila je Šitum.
Dodala je kako je u tijeku pripremanje stručnjaka za "veći opseg" oboljelih od melanoma.

Šitum je navela kako je melanom bolest šestog i sedmog desetljeća života, ali se češće pojavljuje i u mlađoj populaciji.
Kazala je kako je Hrvatska po postotku smrtnosti oboljelih od melanoma na drugom mjestu u Europskoj uniji. Navela je primjer skandinavskih zemalja gdje je stanovništvo svjetlije puti, a time i osjetljivije na izloženost suncu, no u tim je zemljama smrtnost od melanoma dva posto a u Hrvatskoj 30 posto.

Beroš i Šitum su više put pozvali građane da se žurno jave obiteljskom liječniku ako primijete nešto na koži, te će obiteljski liječnik procijeniti je li potreban hitan specijalistički pregled.
"Koža pamti našu izloženost suncu te se kao posljedica toga pojavljuje melanom," rekao je ministar Beroš.
