Tvrtka očekuje da će ažurirano cjepivo biti dostupno u nadolazećim tjednima za jesensku sezonu cijepljenja

Iz Moderne je jučer priopćeno da prvi podaci studije pokazuju da je njihovo ažurirano cjepivo protiv Covida-19 učinkovito i protiv podvarijatni Eris i Fornax.

Tvrta očekuje da će ažurirano cjepivo biti dostupno u nadolazećim tjednima za jesensku sezonu cijepljenja, nakon odobrenja zdravstvenih regulatora u SAD-u, Europi i drugdje.

Moderna i drugi proizvođači cjepiva protiv Covida-19, Novavax, Pfizer i njemački partner BioNTech, stvorili su verzije svojih cjepiva usmjerene na podvarijantu virusa XBB.1.5.

Ranije u četvrtak, Pfizer je izvijestio da je njihovo cjepivo protiv Covida-19, razvijeno u suradnji s BioNTechom, pokazalo neutralizirajuće djelovanje protiv podvarijante Eris u studiji provedenoj na miševima.

Eris je slična podvarijanti XBB.1.5 i još uvijek dominantnom Omicronu.

Hospitalizacije povezane s Covidom-19 su u SAD-u porasle za više od 40% u odnosu na niske brojke iz lipnja, no još uvijek su više od 90% ispod najviših razina iz siječnja 2022. godine.

Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija je klasificirala EG.5. kao varijantu od interesa, ukazujući na to da bi ju trebalo pomnije promatrati od ostalih varijanti, zbog mutacija koje bi ju mogle činiti zaraznijom ili težom, piše Reuters.

WHO i SAD pomno prate novu varijantu virusa covida

Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija (WHO) i američke zdravstvene vlasti priopćile su u petak da pomno prate novu inačicu virusa covida-19, premda su "još nepoznate moguće posljedice brojnih mutacija BA.2.86".

WHO je odlučio svrstati novu varijantu "u skupinu varijanata pod nadzorom, zbog vrlo velikog broja (više od 30) mutacija šiljastog gena koji nosi", piše organizacija u epidemiološkom izvješću o pandemiji covida-19 objavljenom u noći na petak.

Zbog šiljastog proteina virus izgleda kao da ima bodlje, što SARS-Cov-2 omogućuje da uđe u stanice domaćina.

Nova inačica je zasad pronađena samo u Izraelu, Danskoj i u SAD-u.

"Moguće posljedice mutacija BA.2.86 zasad nisu poznate i predmet su temeljite analize", navodi organizacija, još jednom upozorivši da je važno i dalje pratiti, sekvencirati i obavještavati nadležne vlasti kako bi se dobila točna i cjelovita slika o pandemiji covida-19.

Do 13. kolovoza 2023. u svijetu je prijavljeno više od 769 milijuna potvrđenih slučajeva covida-19 i više od 6,9 umrlih. Stvarni broj zaraženih i umrlih smatra se mnogo većim jer mnogi slučajevi nisu prijavljeni.

Tvrtka očekuje da će ažurirano cjepivo biti dostupno u nadolazećim tjednima za jesensku sezonu cijepljenja

Iz Moderne je jučer priopćeno da prvi podaci studije pokazuju da je njihovo ažurirano cjepivo protiv Covida-19 učinkovito i protiv podvarijatni Eris i Fornax.

Tvrta očekuje da će ažurirano cjepivo biti dostupno u nadolazećim tjednima za jesensku sezonu cijepljenja, nakon odobrenja zdravstvenih regulatora u SAD-u, Europi i drugdje.

Moderna i drugi proizvođači cjepiva protiv Covida-19, Novavax, Pfizer i njemački partner BioNTech, stvorili su verzije svojih cjepiva usmjerene na podvarijantu virusa XBB.1.5.

Ranije u četvrtak, Pfizer je izvijestio da je njihovo cjepivo protiv Covida-19, razvijeno u suradnji s BioNTechom, pokazalo neutralizirajuće djelovanje protiv podvarijante Eris u studiji provedenoj na miševima.

Eris je slična podvarijanti XBB.1.5 i još uvijek dominantnom Omicronu.

Hospitalizacije povezane s Covidom-19 su u SAD-u porasle za više od 40% u odnosu na niske brojke iz lipnja, no još uvijek su više od 90% ispod najviših razina iz siječnja 2022. godine.

Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija je klasificirala EG.5. kao varijantu od interesa, ukazujući na to da bi ju trebalo pomnije promatrati od ostalih varijanti, zbog mutacija koje bi ju mogle činiti zaraznijom ili težom, piše Reuters.

WHO i SAD pomno prate novu varijantu virusa covida

Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija (WHO) i američke zdravstvene vlasti priopćile su u petak da pomno prate novu inačicu virusa covida-19, premda su "još nepoznate moguće posljedice brojnih mutacija BA.2.86".

WHO je odlučio svrstati novu varijantu "u skupinu varijanata pod nadzorom, zbog vrlo velikog broja (više od 30) mutacija šiljastog gena koji nosi", piše organizacija u epidemiološkom izvješću o pandemiji covida-19 objavljenom u noći na petak.

Zbog šiljastog proteina virus izgleda kao da ima bodlje, što SARS-Cov-2 omogućuje da uđe u stanice domaćina.

Nova inačica je zasad pronađena samo u Izraelu, Danskoj i u SAD-u.

Tvrtka očekuje da će ažurirano cjepivo biti dostupno u nadolazećim tjednima za jesensku sezonu cijepljenja

Iz Moderne je jučer priopćeno da prvi podaci studije pokazuju da je njihovo ažurirano cjepivo protiv Covida-19 učinkovito i protiv podvarijatni Eris i Fornax.

Tvrta očekuje da će ažurirano cjepivo biti dostupno u nadolazećim tjednima za jesensku sezonu cijepljenja, nakon odobrenja zdravstvenih regulatora u SAD-u, Europi i drugdje.

Moderna i drugi proizvođači cjepiva protiv Covida-19, Novavax, Pfizer i njemački partner BioNTech, stvorili su verzije svojih cjepiva usmjerene na podvarijantu virusa XBB.1.5.

Ranije u četvrtak, Pfizer je izvijestio da je njihovo cjepivo protiv Covida-19, razvijeno u suradnji s BioNTechom, pokazalo neutralizirajuće djelovanje protiv podvarijante Eris u studiji provedenoj na miševima.

Eris je slična podvarijanti XBB.1.5 i još uvijek dominantnom Omicronu.

Hospitalizacije povezane s Covidom-19 su u SAD-u porasle za više od 40% u odnosu na niske brojke iz lipnja, no još uvijek su više od 90% ispod najviših razina iz siječnja 2022. godine.

Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija je klasificirala EG.5. kao varijantu od interesa, ukazujući na to da bi ju trebalo pomnije promatrati od ostalih varijanti, zbog mutacija koje bi ju mogle činiti zaraznijom ili težom, piše Reuters.

WHO i SAD pomno prate novu varijantu virusa covida

Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija (WHO) i američke zdravstvene vlasti priopćile su u petak da pomno prate novu inačicu virusa covida-19, premda su "još nepoznate moguće posljedice brojnih mutacija BA.2.86".

WHO je odlučio svrstati novu varijantu "u skupinu varijanata pod nadzorom, zbog vrlo velikog broja (više od 30) mutacija šiljastog gena koji nosi", piše organizacija u epidemiološkom izvješću o pandemiji covida-19 objavljenom u noći na petak.

Zbog šiljastog proteina virus izgleda kao da ima bodlje, što SARS-Cov-2 omogućuje da uđe u stanice domaćina.

Nova inačica je zasad pronađena samo u Izraelu, Danskoj i u SAD-u.
