Ministri 42 zemlje Unije za Mediteran, među kojima i Hrvatske, dogovorili su u utorak intenzivniju suradnju u gospodarenju na Sredozemlju kojom bi zaštitili more i priobalje od rastućeg zagađenja, priopćila je ta organizacija sa sjedištem u Barceloni.

Zemlje su usvojile novu deklaraciju o "plavom gospodarstvu", šest godina nakon što su usvojili prvi takav dokument posvećen usklađivanju politika u sektorima poput prometa, turizma i ribarstva.

Najavili su promicanje tehnologija koje ne zagađuju okoliš, okretanje ekološki održivom turizmu, aktivnije uklanjanje smeća iz mora te pažljivo nadgledanje gospodarskih aktivnosti.

"Ministri Unije za Mediteran dogovorili su danas prijelaz prema istinski održivom plavom gospodarstvu. To je dio naše strategije za oporavak od krize nastale Covidom-19, a također i kako bi smo se suočili s ozbiljnim posljedicama klimatskih promjena i narušavanja okoliša", izjavio je europski povjerenik za okoliš i more Virginijus Sinkevičijus tijekom sastanka održanog videovezom.

"Ovo je ključan korak prema održivom upravljanju Mediteranom, našim zajedničkim morem, te doprinos ambicijama iz Europskog zelenog plana", dodao je.

Unija za Mediteran je organizacija nastala 2008. godine, koja okuplja svih 27 država Europske unije te 15 zemalja južnog i istočnog Sredozemlja. Ona potiče dijalog, suradnju i integraciju među njima.

Područje Mediterana je vodeća svjetska turistička destinacija. Turizam predstavlja glavni gospodarski sektor prema prihodima i otvaranju radnih mjesta u mediteranskom bazenu, a također je važan mladim poduzetnicima te malim i srednjim kompanijama.

"No turizam je teško pogođen posljedičnom krizom Covida-19. Ta regija je također jako izložena klimatskim promjenama, a zagrijavanje je 20 posto brže od svjetskog prosjeka, što ima vidljive posljedice na morski okoliš. To će se nastaviti sve dok se ne poduzmu mjere za smanjenje emisije štetnih plinova i jačanja otpornosti morskih i obalnih staništa", priopćila je Unija za Mediteran.

Deklaracija ministara nema zakonsku obvezu, no njome se ističe politička volja za očuvanjem Sredozemnog mora i njegovih obala.

Generalni tajnik Unije za Mediteran, Nasser Kamel, istaknuo je kako bi deklaracija trebala doprinijeti da aktivnosti na moru budu održive.

Deklaracija je usvojena nakon konzultacija u kojima je sudjelovalo više od 100 predstavnika raznih međunarodnih organizacija iz različitih područja, priopćila je Unija za Mediteran.

Ministri 42 zemlje Unije za Mediteran, među kojima i Hrvatske, dogovorili su u utorak intenzivniju suradnju u gospodarenju na Sredozemlju kojom bi zaštitili more i priobalje od rastućeg zagađenja, priopćila je ta organizacija sa sjedištem u Barceloni.

Zemlje su usvojile novu deklaraciju o "plavom gospodarstvu", šest godina nakon što su usvojili prvi takav dokument posvećen usklađivanju politika u sektorima poput prometa, turizma i ribarstva.

Najavili su promicanje tehnologija koje ne zagađuju okoliš, okretanje ekološki održivom turizmu, aktivnije uklanjanje smeća iz mora te pažljivo nadgledanje gospodarskih aktivnosti.

"Ministri Unije za Mediteran dogovorili su danas prijelaz prema istinski održivom plavom gospodarstvu. To je dio naše strategije za oporavak od krize nastale Covidom-19, a također i kako bi smo se suočili s ozbiljnim posljedicama klimatskih promjena i narušavanja okoliša", izjavio je europski povjerenik za okoliš i more Virginijus Sinkevičijus tijekom sastanka održanog videovezom.

"Ovo je ključan korak prema održivom upravljanju Mediteranom, našim zajedničkim morem, te doprinos ambicijama iz Europskog zelenog plana", dodao je.

Unija za Mediteran je organizacija nastala 2008. godine, koja okuplja svih 27 država Europske unije te 15 zemalja južnog i istočnog Sredozemlja. Ona potiče dijalog, suradnju i integraciju među njima.

Područje Mediterana je vodeća svjetska turistička destinacija. Turizam predstavlja glavni gospodarski sektor prema prihodima i otvaranju radnih mjesta u mediteranskom bazenu, a također je važan mladim poduzetnicima te malim i srednjim kompanijama.

"No turizam je teško pogođen posljedičnom krizom Covida-19. Ta regija je također jako izložena klimatskim promjenama, a zagrijavanje je 20 posto brže od svjetskog prosjeka, što ima vidljive posljedice na morski okoliš. Deklaracija ministara nema zakonsku obvezu, no njome se ističe politička volja za očuvanjem Sredozemnog mora i njegovih obala.

Generalni tajnik Unije za Mediteran, Nasser Kamel, istaknuo je kako bi deklaracija trebala doprinijeti da aktivnosti na moru budu održive.

Deklaracija je usvojena nakon konzultacija u kojima je sudjelovalo više od 100 predstavnika raznih međunarodnih organizacija iz različitih područja, priopćila je Unija za Mediteran.

Ministri 42 zemlje Unije za Mediteran, među kojima i Hrvatske, dogovorili su u utorak intenzivniju suradnju u gospodarenju na Sredozemlju kojom bi zaštitili more i priobalje od rastućeg zagađenja, priopćila je ta organizacija sa sjedištem u Barceloni.

Zemlje su usvojile novu deklaraciju o "plavom gospodarstvu", šest godina nakon što su usvojili prvi takav dokument posvećen usklađivanju politika u sektorima poput prometa, turizma i ribarstva.

Najavili su promicanje tehnologija koje ne zagađuju okoliš, okretanje ekološki održivom turizmu, aktivnije uklanjanje smeća iz mora te pažljivo nadgledanje gospodarskih aktivnosti.

"Ministri Unije za Mediteran dogovorili su danas prijelaz prema istinski održivom plavom gospodarstvu. To je dio naše strategije za oporavak od krize nastale Covidom-19, a također i kako bi smo se suočili s ozbiljnim posljedicama klimatskih promjena i narušavanja okoliša", izjavio je europski povjerenik za okoliš i more Virginijus Sinkevičijus tijekom sastanka održanog videovezom.

"Ovo je ključan korak prema održivom upravljanju Mediteranom, našim zajedničkim morem, te doprinos ambicijama iz Europskog zelenog plana", dodao je.

Unija za Mediteran je organizacija nastala 2008. godine, koja okuplja svih 27 država Europske unije te 15 zemalja južnog i istočnog Sredozemlja. Ona potiče dijalog, suradnju i integraciju među njima.

Područje Mediterana je vodeća svjetska turistička destinacija. Turizam predstavlja glavni gospodarski sektor prema prihodima i otvaranju radnih mjesta u mediteranskom bazenu, a također je važan mladim poduzetnicima te malim i srednjim kompanijama.

"No turizam je teško pogođen posljedičnom krizom Covida-19. Ta regija je također jako izložena klimatskim promjenama, a zagrijavanje je 20 posto brže od svjetskog prosjeka, što ima vidljive posljedice na morski okoliš. To će se nastaviti sve dok se ne poduzmu mjere za smanjenje emisije štetnih plinova i jačanja otpornosti morskih i obalnih staništa", priopćila je Unija za Mediteran.
