Znanstvenici sa Sveučilišta u Queenslandu, u Australiji, sumnjaju.da se dupini u zaljevu Moreton, nedaleko od Brisbanea, drugačije ponašaju u blizini ljudi. Uvjereni su, naime, da su naučili ako moliti ljude s brodova da im daju ribu, te da to znanje prenose jedni drugima, piše Science Alert.
Između 2017. i 2020. godine. primijetili su da dupini dolaze do brodova koji se rekreativno bave lovom ribe i jedu ono što im dobace preko ograde.
- Unutar društvene mreže dupina, pronašla sam dio njih koji bi neprestano patrolirali usidrenim brodovima, čekajući da im rekreativni ribolovci bace odbačeni mamac ili ulov.Ribolov je u zaljevu popularan i čini se da su ga neki dupini naučili iskorištavati - objašnjava Léonie Huijser, koja je primijetila neobičan fenomen dok je radila diplomski rad.
Trenutačno je nezakonito hraniti dupine u zaljevu Moreton, ali teško je nadzirati provedbu zakona kad su ribarski brodovi na vodi, daleko od obale.
U drugom zaljevu blizu Brisbanea, vlasti su nedavno kaznile čovjeka s nekoliko stotina dolara jer je dupine hranio ostacima. To se može činiti kao neprimjerena kazna za dobronamjerno djelo, ali hranjenje dupina može biti ozbiljno štetno. Stručnjaci upozoravaju da bacanje riba dupinima zapravo njih dovodi u veću opasnost od promjena ponašanja i sudara brodova.
- Neki od dupina koji hrabro prilaze čamcima imaju ožiljke od udara propelera.- kaže Huijser.
Huijser je zabrinuta da se trend ovakvog načina dolaska do hrane širi. Dupini, kao i orke, imaju složene kulture koje se mogu razvijati i prilagođavati, a poznato je da ponašanje uče jedni od drugih. Drugim riječima, ako jedan dupin moljaka ribu i dobije je, drugi će to vidjeti i upamtiti.
- Oni riskiraju da postanu ovisni o doniranoj ribi, koja je za njih poput nezdrave hrane - brza i jednostavna, ali nezdrava. Ovakvo ponašanje može dovesti do trovanja hranom ili prehrambene neravnoteže. - kaže morski biolog Michael Noad, prenosi VauMijau.

Između 2017. i 2020. godine. primijetili su da dupini dolaze do brodova koji se rekreativno bave lovom ribe i jedu ono što im dobace preko ograde.
- Unutar društvene mreže dupina, pronašla sam dio njih koji bi neprestano patrolirali usidrenim brodovima, čekajući da im rekreativni ribolovci bace odbačeni mamac ili ulov.Ribolov je u zaljevu popularan i čini se da su ga neki dupini naučili iskorištavati - objašnjava Léonie Huijser, koja je primijetila neobičan fenomen dok je radila diplomski rad.
Trenutačno je nezakonito hraniti dupine u zaljevu Moreton, ali teško je nadzirati provedbu zakona kad su ribarski brodovi na vodi, daleko od obale.
U drugom zaljevu blizu Brisbanea, vlasti su nedavno kaznile čovjeka s nekoliko stotina dolara jer je dupine hranio ostacima. To se može činiti kao neprimjerena kazna za dobronamjerno djelo, ali hranjenje dupina može biti ozbiljno štetno. Stručnjaci upozoravaju da bacanje riba dupinima zapravo njih dovodi u veću opasnost od promjena ponašanja i sudara brodova.
- Neki od dupina koji hrabro prilaze čamcima imaju ožiljke od udara propelera.- kaže Huijser.
Huijser je zabrinuta da se trend ovakvog načina dolaska do hrane širi. Dupini, kao i orke, imaju složene kulture koje se mogu razvijati i prilagođavati, a poznato je da ponašanje uče jedni od drugih. Drugim riječima, ako jedan dupin moljaka ribu i dobije je, drugi će to vidjeti i upamtiti.
- Oni riskiraju da postanu ovisni o doniranoj ribi, koja je za njih poput nezdrave hrane - brza i jednostavna, ali nezdrava. Ovakvo ponašanje može dovesti do trovanja hranom ili prehrambene neravnoteže. - kaže morski biolog Michael Noad, prenosi VauMijau.
