Bivša pripadnica i časnica američke Obalne straže Sara Faulkner je u razgovoru za dnevnik The Miami Herald iznijela teške optužbe na račun dojučerašnjih kolega. Iako je dobila odlikovanje kao jedna od prvih žena u ulozi plivača spasilaca u ekstremnim vremenskim uvjetima, Sara je dugi niz godina morala trpjeti zlostavljanje od nekih muških pripadnika US Coast Guard.
– Nitko me doduše nije silovao, ali sam puno puta doživjela poniženja kao što su udaranje po stražnjici, dodirivanje po dijelovima tijela, ili sam morala uzmicati od pokušaja da me se poljubi ili poliže po vratu – rekla je ona za Miami Herald.
– Slučajeve sam uredno prijavljivala nadređenima, ali nikakvih reakcija ni kazni nije bilo – dodala je Faulknerova. Loša iskustva su očito imale i druge pripadnice Obalne straže jer u vladinu izvješću objavljenom u prosincu 2019. piše kako se 45 posto žena kadeta u US Coast Guard tužilo na seksualno uznemiravanje. Istraga se po tom pitanju nastavlja pa neke spasioce na moru čeka ispitivanje policije – najavljuju iz Miami Heralda. (Ž. S.)

Bivša pripadnica i časnica američke Obalne straže Sara Faulkner je u razgovoru za dnevnik The Miami Herald iznijela teške optužbe na račun dojučerašnjih kolega. Iako je dobila odlikovanje kao jedna od prvih žena u ulozi plivača spasilaca u ekstremnim vremenskim uvjetima, Sara je dugi niz godina morala trpjeti zlostavljanje od nekih muških pripadnika US Coast Guard.
– Nitko me doduše nije silovao, ali sam puno puta doživjela poniženja kao što su udaranje po stražnjici, dodirivanje po dijelovima tijela, ili sam morala uzmicati od pokušaja da me se poljubi ili poliže po vratu – rekla je ona za Miami Herald.
– Slučajeve sam uredno prijavljivala nadređenima, ali nikakvih reakcija ni kazni nije bilo – dodala je Faulknerova. Loša iskustva su očito imale i druge pripadnice Obalne straže jer u vladinu izvješću objavljenom u prosincu 2019. piše kako se 45 posto žena kadeta u US Coast Guard tužilo na seksualno uznemiravanje. Istraga se po tom pitanju nastavlja pa neke spasioce na moru čeka ispitivanje policije – najavljuju iz Miami Heralda. (Ž. S.)
