Na jedrilici koja neko vrijeme nije bila održavana, pa sam je zato i dobio po dosta povoljnoj cijeni, imam dosta opreme koju je potrebno obnoviti, servisirati ili zamijeniti. Jedna od stavki su prozori sprayhooda koji su dosta mutni i kroz njih se slabo vidi, dok su tekstil i šavovi u dobrom stanju. Zanima me mogu li kako ove prozore obnoviti i ponovno ih učiniti prozirnima.

Možda i možete, ovisno o tome koliko su prozori vašeg sprayhooda oštećeni. Mehanička oštećenja na pregibima nastalim presavijanjem prilikom slaganja, duboke ogrebotine ili termička oštećenja nećete moći ukloniti, ali okolnu površinu možda ipak možete ponovno učiniti prozirnom.

Cijeli sprayhood obilno isperite mlazom vode, naročito spojeve platna i prozora, kako biste isprali sol, prašinu, blato ili zrnca pijeska uglavljena u rubovima. Učinite to i s unutarnje strane jer se, zbog kondenzacije ili pare od kuhanja, prašina i druge nečistoće lijepe na platno i vinilne prozore. Kako bi suhe mrlje od soli i tvrde vode popustile, sve površine nježno operite tekućim sapunom ili neagresivnim deterdžentom za posuđe.

​Ne koristite kemikalije

Nikako ne koristite alkohol, amonijak, kemikalije ili bilo koje abrazivno sredstvo za čišćenje, ni četke, tvrdu stranu spužve za struganje ili tvrde krpe, jer je površina vinila mekana i dosta osjetljiva, pa time stanje samo možete pogoršati.

Naravno, mekane spužve ili krpe, najbolje one od mikrovlakana, koje ćete koristiti moraju biti čiste, a ako je u nekom trenutku odložite, najbolje da za daljnje čišćenje uzmete novu.

​Ako nosite prsten, narukvicu i sat, bilo bi dobro da ih skinete ili preko njih navučete pamučnu rukavicu, kako njima ne biste slučajno napravili nove ogrebotine. Sve obilato isperite i nemojte ostaviti da se površine suše, nego ih posušite čistim mekanim ručnikom ili mekanim krpama.

Prozori su sada s obiju strana spremni za poliranje, čime će se s njih ukloniti i magličasti sloj. Sredstvo za poliranje prozirne plastike nanesite na mekanu krpu i kružnim pokretima polirajte površinu. Izmaglicu koja je nastala od viška sredstva za poliranje uklonite mekom pamučnom krpom. Kako biste izbjegli zamašćivanje i prljanje rubova platna, zaštitite ih krep-trakom koju ćete odmah nakon poliranja skinuti.

Ako eventualno imate i nekakve masne mrlje na platnu, prethodno ih pokušajte oprati suhom pjenom od blagog sapuna ili deterdženta. Platno dobro navlažite, razmažite pjenu preko mrlje, ostavite neko vrijeme da mrlja popusti, a zatim lagano trljajte, obrišite i nanosite novu pjenu, pa ponovite postupak dok mrlja ne izblijedi. Na isti način možete odstraniti i mrlje s kišnih odijela.

Motanje u tuljak

Dublja površinska oštećenja vinila neće se moći ukloniti ručnim poliranjem, pa sprayhood skinite s konstrukcije i pokušajte to ukloniti brusilicom za poliranje ili bušilicom s regulacijom brzine i diskom za poliranje. Položite prozor na ravnu površinu i u jednom kutu provjerite ima li ovo ikakvog efekta, pa ako ima, polirajte cijelu površinu, naravno, uvijek s obiju strana.

Ako je prozor još uvijek slabo proziran, to znači da je prestar i treba ga zamijeniti. S obzirom na stanje platna, procijenite hoćete li mijenjati samo prozore ili i platno sprayhooda, što radi jednakog izgleda najčešće ide u paketu s biminijem.

Redovno održavanje platna i prozora sprayhooda, jednom do dva puta godišnje, udvostručit će mu vijek trajanja. Kada platno skidate s konstrukcije, posebnu pozornost obratite na način slaganja. Nikada ga ne presavijajte na prozorima, nego ga zamotajte u tuljak i odložite tamo gdje ga ništa neće deformirati.

Na jedrilici koja neko vrijeme nije bila održavana, pa sam je zato i dobio po dosta povoljnoj cijeni, imam dosta opreme koju je potrebno obnoviti, servisirati ili zamijeniti. Jedna od stavki su prozori sprayhooda koji su dosta mutni i kroz njih se slabo vidi, dok su tekstil i šavovi u dobrom stanju. Zanima me mogu li kako ove prozore obnoviti i ponovno ih učiniti prozirnima.

Možda i možete, ovisno o tome koliko su prozori vašeg sprayhooda oštećeni. Mehanička oštećenja na pregibima nastalim presavijanjem prilikom slaganja, duboke ogrebotine ili termička oštećenja nećete moći ukloniti, ali okolnu površinu možda ipak možete ponovno učiniti prozirnom.

Cijeli sprayhood obilno isperite mlazom vode, naročito spojeve platna i prozora, kako biste isprali sol, prašinu, blato ili zrnca pijeska uglavljena u rubovima. Učinite to i s unutarnje strane jer se, zbog kondenzacije ili pare od kuhanja, prašina i druge nečistoće lijepe na platno i vinilne prozore. Kako bi suhe mrlje od soli i tvrde vode popustile, sve površine nježno operite tekućim sapunom ili neagresivnim deterdžentom za posuđe.

​Ne koristite kemikalije

Nikako ne koristite alkohol, amonijak, kemikalije ili bilo koje abrazivno sredstvo za čišćenje, ni četke, tvrdu stranu spužve za struganje ili tvrde krpe, jer je površina vinila mekana i dosta osjetljiva, pa time stanje samo možete pogoršati.

Naravno, mekane spužve ili krpe, najbolje one od mikrovlakana, koje ćete koristiti moraju biti čiste, a ako je u nekom trenutku odložite, najbolje da za daljnje čišćenje uzmete novu.

​Ako nosite prsten, narukvicu i sat, bilo bi dobro da ih skinete ili preko njih navučete pamučnu rukavicu, kako njima ne biste slučajno napravili nove ogrebotine. Sve obilato isperite i nemojte ostaviti da se površine suše, nego ih posušite čistim mekanim ručnikom ili mekanim krpama.

Prozori su sada s obiju strana spremni za poliranje, čime će se s njih ukloniti i magličasti sloj. Sredstvo za poliranje prozirne plastike nanesite na mekanu krpu i kružnim pokretima polirajte površinu. Izmaglicu koja je nastala od viška sredstva za poliranje uklonite mekom pamučnom krpom. Kako biste izbjegli zamašćivanje i prljanje rubova platna, zaštitite ih krep-trakom koju ćete odmah nakon poliranja skinuti.

Ako eventualno imate i nekakve masne mrlje na platnu, prethodno ih pokušajte oprati suhom pjenom od blagog sapuna ili deterdženta. Platno dobro navlažite, razmažite pjenu preko mrlje, ostavite neko vrijeme da mrlja popusti, a zatim lagano trljajte, obrišite i nanosite novu pjenu, pa ponovite postupak dok mrlja ne izblijedi. Na isti način možete odstraniti i mrlje s kišnih odijela.

Motanje u tuljak

Dublja površinska oštećenja vinila neće se moći ukloniti ručnim poliranjem, pa sprayhood skinite s konstrukcije i pokušajte to ukloniti brusilicom za poliranje ili bušilicom s regulacijom brzine i diskom za poliranje. Položite prozor na ravnu površinu i u jednom kutu provjerite ima li ovo ikakvog efekta, pa ako ima, polirajte cijelu površinu, naravno, uvijek s obiju strana.

Ako je prozor još uvijek slabo proziran, to znači da je prestar i treba ga zamijeniti. S obzirom na stanje platna, procijenite hoćete li mijenjati samo prozore ili i platno sprayhooda, što radi jednakog izgleda najčešće ide u paketu s biminijem.

Redovno održavanje platna i prozora sprayhooda, jednom do dva puta godišnje, udvostručit će mu vijek trajanja. Kada platno skidate s konstrukcije, posebnu pozornost obratite na način slaganja. Nikada ga ne presavijajte na prozorima, nego ga zamotajte u tuljak i odložite tamo gdje ga ništa neće deformirati.
