Skandal s korupcijom u španjolskoj monarhiji pridonio je padu popularnosti kralja Juana Carlosa I. koji je u lipnju 2014. abdicirao, a naslijedio ga je njegov sin, Filip VI. Sud u Palmi de Mallorci u kratkom je priopćenju izvijestio da će sudski proces protiv princeze Kristine i njezina supruga Inakija Urdangarina početi 11. siječnja 2016.

Infanta je osumnjičena za prijevaru i pranje novca, odnosno povezana je sa sumnjivim poslovima i malverzacijama zbog kojih je pod istragom i Urdangarin. Princezi Kristini oduzeta je titula vojvotkinje od Palme, a njezin brat, kralj Filip više se s njom ne pokazuje u javnosti.

Vjeruje se da je infanta prvi član neke kraljevske obitelji pozvan na sud zbog sumnje u počinjenje kaznenog djela.

Skandal s korupcijom u španjolskoj monarhiji pridonio je padu popularnosti kralja Juana Carlosa I. koji je u lipnju 2014. abdicirao, a naslijedio ga je njegov sin, Filip VI. Sud u Palmi de Mallorci u kratkom je priopćenju izvijestio da će sudski proces protiv princeze Kristine i njezina supruga Inakija Urdangarina početi 11. siječnja 2016.

Infanta je osumnjičena za prijevaru i pranje novca, odnosno povezana je sa sumnjivim poslovima i malverzacijama zbog kojih je pod istragom i Urdangarin. Princezi Kristini oduzeta je titula vojvotkinje od Palme, a njezin brat, kralj Filip više se s njom ne pokazuje u javnosti.

Vjeruje se da je infanta prvi član neke kraljevske obitelji pozvan na sud zbog sumnje u počinjenje kaznenog djela.
