Knjiga "Prva dama nade" Elizabeth Lightfoot o životnom putu "prve crne prve dame Bijele kuće" Michelle Obama, objavljena je u hrvatskom prijevodu, izvijestio je "Profil", izdavač te biografije.

Osim što iznosi njezinu intimnu životnu priču, dugogodišnja novinarka Associated Pressa, Elizabeth Lightfoot, prikazuje Michelle Obamu kao jedan od važnijih stupova kampanje svog supruga, čiji su javni nastupi u kojima je isticala da će Barack biti "izvrstan predsjednik" uvelike pridonijeli njegovu izboru na to mjesto.

Iako ju zbog njezine mladosti i elegancije često uspoređuju s Jackie Kennedy i svrstavaju među najbolje odjevene žene na svijetu, često se ističe i njezin izniman spoj duha i intelekta, umijeće komuniciranja te karizmatični javni nastupi, stoji u obavijesti.

Kad Barack predstavlja Michelle, naziva je "moja stijena" zato što ga drži čvrsto na zemlji, dok je Michelle još prije Obamina izbora za predsjednika isticala kako će on biti izvrstan predsjednik, jer je "u stanju obuzdati jaku ženu".

Michelle Obama rođena je 1964. u skromnoj obitelji i odrasla u jednom od najsiromašnijih dijelova Chicaga. Unatoč tome 1981. se upisuje na ugledno američko sveučilište Princeton, potom završava pravo na Harvardu i radi kao odvjetnica. S Barackom se vjenčala 1992. i rodila dvije kćeri, Maliu Ann (1999.) i Natashu (2001.).

Ubrzo nakon vjenčanja zaposlila se u Gradskoj vijećnici Chicaga, a zatim u bolnicama Čikaškog sveučilišta na mjestu potpredsjednice za odnose s javnošću. Tu je i dočekala pobjedu svojeg supruga na prošlogodišnjim predsjedničkim izborima.

Elizabeth Lightfoot novinarka je Associated Pressa i kolumnistica u mnogim američkim časopisima. Završila je književnost na Sveučilištu Harvard, a nakon toga magistrirala novinarstvo na Sveučilištu Columbia. Živi i radi u Connecticutu.

Knjiga "Prva dama nade" Elizabeth Lightfoot o životnom putu "prve crne prve dame Bijele kuće" Michelle Obama, objavljena je u hrvatskom prijevodu, izvijestio je "Profil", izdavač te biografije.

Osim što iznosi njezinu intimnu životnu priču, dugogodišnja novinarka Associated Pressa, Elizabeth Lightfoot, prikazuje Michelle Obamu kao jedan od važnijih stupova kampanje svog supruga, čiji su javni nastupi u kojima je isticala da će Barack biti "izvrstan predsjednik" uvelike pridonijeli njegovu izboru na to mjesto.

Iako ju zbog njezine mladosti i elegancije često uspoređuju s Jackie Kennedy i svrstavaju među najbolje odjevene žene na svijetu, često se ističe i njezin izniman spoj duha i intelekta, umijeće komuniciranja te karizmatični javni nastupi, stoji u obavijesti.

Kad Barack predstavlja Michelle, naziva je "moja stijena" zato što ga drži čvrsto na zemlji, dok je Michelle još prije Obamina izbora za predsjednika isticala kako će on biti izvrstan predsjednik, jer je "u stanju obuzdati jaku ženu".

Michelle Obama rođena je 1964. u skromnoj obitelji i odrasla u jednom od najsiromašnijih dijelova Chicaga. Unatoč tome 1981. se upisuje na ugledno američko sveučilište Princeton, potom završava pravo na Harvardu i radi kao odvjetnica. S Barackom se vjenčala 1992. i rodila dvije kćeri, Maliu Ann (1999.) i Natashu (2001.).

Ubrzo nakon vjenčanja zaposlila se u Gradskoj vijećnici Chicaga, a zatim u bolnicama Čikaškog sveučilišta na mjestu potpredsjednice za odnose s javnošću. Tu je i dočekala pobjedu svojeg supruga na prošlogodišnjim predsjedničkim izborima.

Elizabeth Lightfoot novinarka je Associated Pressa i kolumnistica u mnogim američkim časopisima. Završila je književnost na Sveučilištu Harvard, a nakon toga magistrirala novinarstvo na Sveučilištu Columbia. Živi i radi u Connecticutu.

Knjigu "Prva dama nade", u originalu objavljenu 2008., na hrvatski je prevela Suzana Szabo.
