"Ovdje sam, Molly", pokušavao je skrenuti pažnju eterični Patrick Swayze u ulozi Sama voljenoj Demi Moore u nadnaravnom romantičnom megahitu "Ghost" koji je davne 1990. proširio granice ljubavi i metafilmski postavio pitanje "vjerujete li sada u duhove?", kao da je znao da će biti "nevjernih toma" među publikom i napose kritikom.

Nešto slično radi i "duhoviti" protagonist filma "S tobom zauvijek", dozivajući svoju Riley. U godini kad "Duh" slavi 30. rođendan, netko se dosjetio pomladiti klasik Jerryja Zuckera za adolescentsku publiku. I tako je nastao filmić "Endless", neslužbeni remake Zuckerova blockbustera kojeg su neki nepravedno podcijenili.

Tajming za novog, pomlađenog "Duha" je načelno pravovremen s obzirom da se romantične drame za adolescente posljednjih godina sve češće bave motivima umiranja, gubitka, žalosti i tugovanja (npr. "Krive su zvijezde", "Ja, Earl i umiruća", "Još uvijek vjerujem").

Sve što je trebalo jest naći redatelja sklona ljubićima i potentne mlade glumce s kemijom. Iza kamere je stao Scott Speer ("Step Up 4"), režiser neloše mladenačke romantične limunadice "Ponoćno sunce" o nemogućoj ljubavi mladića i djevojke koja se, zbog bolesti, ne smije izlagati sunčevim zrakama.

Ispred kamere su, pak, angažirani Alexandra Shipp (novi "X-Meni", "S ljubavlju, Simon") i Nicholas Hamilton ("Kapetan Fantastični", "Ono") koji odgovaraju opisu potentnih mladih glumaca i ponaosob su dobri, naročito ona, ali nažalost ne funkcioniraju zajedno jer nemaju kemiju.

Kemija je sve u ovakvom tipu filma. Ne mora ona biti na najvišoj razini Swayzea i Moore, no treba biti opipljiva da gledatelj povjeruje u ljubav dvoje aktera. Shipp i Hamilton nisu posve krivi za to. Speer misli da je jedna tipična "spotovska" romantična montaža u prologu dovoljna da pomislimo kako su pred nama akteri ljubavi veće od života i smrti, unatoč njihovim razlikama u statusu (Riley je bogata, Chris nije) i interesima (ona je crtala romane, on voli motocikle).

Kad Riley kaže da je "skroz zatelebana" u Chrisa i predstavlja nam par tijekom jednog dugog toplog ljeta koje izgleda da neće nikad završiti, voljeli bismo joj povjerovati zbog iznimno uživljene Shipp, najsvjetlije točke filma i jedinog tračka njegove duše. No, redatelj ne uspjeva snimiti ništa blizu Zuckerovoj strastvenoj uvodnoj, romantično-erotskoj sceni s oblikovanjem vrča od mokre gline, ozvučenoj divnom "Unchained Melody", premda je Riley također umjetnica svoje vrste i radi crtane romane.

Možda se tu, recimo, mogla ubaciti neka referencija na spot "Take On Me" grupe A-Ha, estetski nalik crtanom romanu, s protagonistom zapelim između dvaju svjetova, što će se dogoditi Chrisu nakon prometne nesreće, sa Riley za volanom automobila. Razlog više za to leži u tome da će Riley upravo preko svojih crteža ostvariti komunikaciju s Chrisom kad ih scenarij (pre)brzo razdvoji da bi uopće mogli profunkcionirati kao par.

Njezina linija priče je bolja, vjerojatno zato što Shipp, iako ne ispušta bisere suza iz oka kao Moore, dojmljivo dočarava djevojku koja je izgubila najvažniju osobu na svijetu, a razapeta je između svojih interesa (umjetnica) i interesa roditelja (odvjetnica). Nitko joj ne vjeruje da komunicira s Chrisom i misle da joj se stvari priviđaju od posljedica tuge koja ju je ionako posve konzumirala, a njegova majka (Famke Janssen) drži je, kao vozačicu, odgovornom za sinovu pogibiju.

S druge strane, Chrisova linija priče vizualno ne unaprijeđuje prelazak na "onaj" svijet viđen u Zuckerovu filmu, bez nekih posebno novih (ne)mogućnosti i pravila ("tu zauvijek ostaneš u dobi u kojoj si i stradao") nakon što u startu prekrši osnovno da "ne komuniciramo s živima", kako veli njegov vodič Jordan (DeRon Horton).

Sam je, primjerice, muku mučio s otvaranjem vrata, a u njegovom među-svijetu na pokojnike su vrebali crni duhovi, odvodeći ih u pakao. K tome, Sam je morao zaštititi Molly od svoga ubojice. Takvih nadrealnih i trilerskih napetosti nema u ovom filmu.

Povišeni trenuci su svedeni na to da Riley osjeća, "stvarno osjeća" Chrisa i čuje njegov glas, tj. da se centralni par treba pomiriti s time da moraju pustiti jedno drugo, posebice on nju pred kojom je cijeli život ("nemaš joj pravo to oduzeti"), te poći svojim putem dalje. Dakle, sve po uzoru na superiorniji "Ghost", samo s malo/manje duše. Vjerujete li sada u "Duha"?

Mlađa Halle Berry

Alexandra Shipp je zamijenila oskarovku Halle Berry u ulozi mutantice Ororo Munroe, tj. Storm u serijalu "X-Men" kad se isti nastavio pomlađivati. Bit će zanimljivo pratiti je li to bilo znakovito, odnosno hoće li ostvariti karijeru kao Berry.

"Ovdje sam, Molly", pokušavao je skrenuti pažnju eterični Patrick Swayze u ulozi Sama voljenoj Demi Moore u nadnaravnom romantičnom megahitu "Ghost" koji je davne 1990. proširio granice ljubavi i metafilmski postavio pitanje "vjerujete li sada u duhove?", kao da je znao da će biti "nevjernih toma" među publikom i napose kritikom.

Nešto slično radi i "duhoviti" protagonist filma "S tobom zauvijek", dozivajući svoju Riley. U godini kad "Duh" slavi 30. rođendan, netko se dosjetio pomladiti klasik Jerryja Zuckera za adolescentsku publiku. I tako je nastao filmić "Endless", neslužbeni remake Zuckerova blockbustera kojeg su neki nepravedno podcijenili.

Tajming za novog, pomlađenog "Duha" je načelno pravovremen s obzirom da se romantične drame za adolescente posljednjih godina sve češće bave motivima umiranja, gubitka, žalosti i tugovanja (npr. "Krive su zvijezde", "Ja, Earl i umiruća", "Još uvijek vjerujem").

Sve što je trebalo jest naći redatelja sklona ljubićima i potentne mlade glumce s kemijom. Iza kamere je stao Scott Speer ("Step Up 4"), režiser neloše mladenačke romantične limunadice "Ponoćno sunce" o nemogućoj ljubavi mladića i djevojke koja se, zbog bolesti, ne smije izlagati sunčevim zrakama.

Ispred kamere su, pak, angažirani Alexandra Shipp (novi "X-Meni", "S ljubavlju, Simon") i Nicholas Hamilton ("Kapetan Fantastični", "Ono") koji odgovaraju opisu potentnih mladih glumaca i ponaosob su dobri, naročito ona, ali nažalost ne funkcioniraju zajedno jer nemaju kemiju.

Kemija je sve u ovakvom tipu filma. Ne mora ona biti na najvišoj razini Swayzea i Moore, no treba biti opipljiva da gledatelj povjeruje u ljubav dvoje aktera. Shipp i Hamilton nisu posve krivi za to. Speer misli da je jedna tipična "spotovska" romantična montaža u prologu dovoljna da pomislimo kako su pred nama akteri ljubavi veće od života i smrti, unatoč njihovim razlikama u statusu (Riley je bogata, Chris nije) i interesima (ona je crtala romane, on voli motocikle).

Kad Riley kaže da je "skroz zatelebana" u Chrisa i predstavlja nam par tijekom jednog dugog toplog ljeta koje izgleda da neće nikad završiti, voljeli bismo joj povjerovati zbog iznimno uživljene Shipp, najsvjetlije točke filma i jedinog tračka njegove duše. No, redatelj ne uspjeva snimiti ništa blizu Zuckerovoj strastvenoj uvodnoj, romantično-erotskoj sceni s oblikovanjem vrča od mokre gline, ozvučenoj divnom "Unchained Melody", premda je Riley također umjetnica svoje vrste i radi crtane romane.

Možda se tu, recimo, mogla ubaciti neka referencija na spot "Take On Me" grupe A-Ha, estetski nalik crtanom romanu, s protagonistom zapelim između dvaju svjetova, što će se dogoditi Chrisu nakon prometne nesreće, sa Riley za volanom automobila. Razlog više za to leži u tome da će Riley upravo preko svojih crteža ostvariti komunikaciju s Chrisom kad ih scenarij (pre)brzo razdvoji da bi uopće mogli profunkcionirati kao par.

Njezina linija priče je bolja, vjerojatno zato što Shipp, iako ne ispušta bisere suza iz oka kao Moore, dojmljivo dočarava djevojku koja je izgubila najvažniju osobu na svijetu, a razapeta je između svojih interesa (umjetnica) i interesa roditelja (odvjetnica). Nitko joj ne vjeruje da komunicira s Chrisom i misle da joj se stvari priviđaju od posljedica tuge koja ju je ionako posve konzumirala, a njegova majka (Famke Janssen) drži je, kao vozačicu, odgovornom za sinovu pogibiju.

S druge strane, Chrisova linija priče vizualno ne unaprijeđuje prelazak na "onaj" svijet viđen u Zuckerovu filmu, bez nekih posebno novih (ne)mogućnosti i pravila ("tu zauvijek ostaneš u dobi u kojoj si i stradao") nakon što u startu prekrši osnovno da "ne komuniciramo s živima", kako veli njegov vodič Jordan (DeRon Horton).

Sam je, primjerice, muku mučio s otvaranjem vrata, a u njegovom među-svijetu na pokojnike su vrebali crni duhovi, odvodeći ih u pakao. K tome, Sam je morao zaštititi Molly od svoga ubojice. Takvih nadrealnih i trilerskih napetosti nema u ovom filmu.

Povišeni trenuci su svedeni na to da Riley osjeća, "stvarno osjeća" Chrisa i čuje njegov glas, tj. da se centralni par treba pomiriti s time da moraju pustiti jedno drugo, posebice on nju pred kojom je cijeli život ("nemaš joj pravo to oduzeti"), te poći svojim putem dalje. Dakle, sve po uzoru na superiorniji "Ghost", samo s malo/manje duše. Vjerujete li sada u "Duha"?

Mlađa Halle Berry

Alexandra Shipp je zamijenila oskarovku Halle Berry u ulozi mutantice Ororo Munroe, tj. Storm u serijalu "X-Men" kad se isti nastavio pomlađivati. Bit će zanimljivo pratiti je li to bilo znakovito, odnosno hoće li ostvariti karijeru kao Berry.
