U Kliničkom bolničkom centru u Splitu svoju bitku s teškom bolešću sinoć je izgubio don Marijo Volarević (46), jedan od omiljenih dalmatinskih svećenika, posebice među mladima, i osvjedočeni torcidaš.

Don Marijo rođen je 10. listopada 1976. u Metkoviću, a za svećenika Nadbiskupije splitsko-makarske bio je zaređen u rodnom gradu 29. lipnja 2003. godine. ostao je zapamćen među vjernicima kao župni vikar u Kaštel Lukšiću, župni pomoćnik u solinskom Svetom Kaji, a zatim je bio prefekt u Nadbiskupskom sjemeništu u Splitu.

S nepunih 30 godina, u jesen 2005. otišao je u Papinski hrvatski zavod Svetog Jeronima u Rim te je 2010. godine doktorirao na Papinskom lateranskom sveučilištu i Institutu moralne teologije Alfonsiana. Bio je pročelnik Katedre moralnog bogoslovlja na Katoličkom bogoslovnom fakultetu u Splitu, te je predavao na kolegijima Osnove moralne teologije i Socijhalni nauk crkve.

Njegovo uže područje znanstvenog istraživanja vezano je za socijalni nauk Crkve, feminizam, rodnu teoriju, bračnu i obiteljsku antropologiju. Na te je teme napisao doktorat, knjigu i nekoliko znanstvenih članaka te održao nekoliko predavanja na međunarodnim i domaćim znanstvenim simpozijima.

Omiljeni splitski svećenik i član Torcide objavio da napušta Crkvu: Ne ženim se, nemam dicu, niti imam dečka. Možda ću sada biti bolji vjernik...

Don Marijo je prije pet godina na svojem profilu na Facebooku poručio je kako se ostavlja svećeničkog poziva. O razlozima svoje odluke nije želio govoriti, no istakao je da ne zamjera ništa ni nadbiskupu ni Nadbiskupiji:

- Vjerujem u istoga Boga i dalje, moji stavovi su isti, možda ću sad biti još bolji vjernik. Ne ženim se niti imam dicu tako da odbacite sve te špekulacije (p.s. nemam ni dečka), ali želim služiti ovom narodu na drugačiji način onoliko koliko mi Bog da još vremena! Bio sam može se reći na nekakvom vrhuncu što se tiče znanstvene i crkvene karijere i tu nemam što zamjeriti nadbiskupu i Nadbiskupiji.

Ovim putem se svima zahvaljujem na svemu, ali zadnjih godina vidim da nije to to što me ispunjava i imam osjećaj da se borim s vjetrenjačama. Svima koji su slušali moje propovijedi, kao i svim mojim studentima poruka:"stojim iza svake svoje riječi", ponovno bih to izrekao, ponovno ću to govoriti nadam se dok budem živ i sve vas Volim, ali okrećem stranicu života.

Za nekoga je ovaj moj potez glup (imam sigurnost, niti žene niti djece), ali ja baš suprotno svoj život i dalje predajem u Božje ruke. On me je do svega ovoga doveo, voditi će me i dalje: "Bože tebi se prepuštam, hvala na svemu do sada spreman sam od tebe primiti sve što mi podariš u budućnosti!"

Još 2016. godine dao je intervju za Slobodnu Dalmaciju:

- Dok sam bio u gimnaziji išao sam na poljudski Sjever, a zadnjih godina obično sam na Istoku ili Zapadu. Ako nije dres Hajduka na meni ili šal onda je obavezno nešto bijelo. Dok je Hajduk igrao na Staroj plinari bogoslovi i sjemeništarci s vrha zgrade Bogoslovije gledali bi utakmice. I danas rado od starijih kolega slušam njihove priče kako bi se kradomice za vrijeme učenja išuljali i gledali Hajduka.

U Kliničkom bolničkom centru u Splitu svoju bitku s teškom bolešću sinoć je izgubio don Marijo Volarević (46), jedan od omiljenih dalmatinskih svećenika, posebice među mladima, i osvjedočeni torcidaš.

Don Marijo rođen je 10. listopada 1976. u Metkoviću, a za svećenika Nadbiskupije splitsko-makarske bio je zaređen u rodnom gradu 29. lipnja 2003. godine. ostao je zapamćen među vjernicima kao župni vikar u Kaštel Lukšiću, župni pomoćnik u solinskom Svetom Kaji, a zatim je bio prefekt u Nadbiskupskom sjemeništu u Splitu.

S nepunih 30 godina, u jesen 2005. otišao je u Papinski hrvatski zavod Svetog Jeronima u Rim te je 2010. godine doktorirao na Papinskom lateranskom sveučilištu i Institutu moralne teologije Alfonsiana. Bio je pročelnik Katedre moralnog bogoslovlja na Katoličkom bogoslovnom fakultetu u Splitu, te je predavao na kolegijima Osnove moralne teologije i Socijhalni nauk crkve.

Njegovo uže područje znanstvenog istraživanja vezano je za socijalni nauk Crkve, feminizam, rodnu teoriju, bračnu i obiteljsku antropologiju. Na te je teme napisao doktorat, knjigu i nekoliko znanstvenih članaka te održao nekoliko predavanja na međunarodnim i domaćim znanstvenim simpozijima.

Omiljeni splitski svećenik i član Torcide objavio da napušta Crkvu: Ne ženim se, nemam dicu, niti imam dečka. Možda ću sada biti bolji vjernik...

Don Marijo je prije pet godina na svojem profilu na Facebooku poručio je kako se ostavlja svećeničkog poziva. O razlozima svoje odluke nije želio govoriti, no istakao je da ne zamjera ništa ni nadbiskupu ni Nadbiskupiji:

- Vjerujem u istoga Boga i dalje, moji stavovi su isti, možda ću sad biti još bolji vjernik. Ne ženim se niti imam dicu tako da odbacite sve te špekulacije (p.s. nemam ni dečka), ali želim služiti ovom narodu na drugačiji način onoliko koliko mi Bog da još vremena! Bio sam može se reći na nekakvom vrhuncu što se tiče znanstvene i crkvene karijere i tu nemam što zamjeriti nadbiskupu i Nadbiskupiji.

Ovim putem se svima zahvaljujem na svemu, ali zadnjih godina vidim da nije to to što me ispunjava i imam osjećaj da se borim s vjetrenjačama. Svima koji su slušali moje propovijedi, kao i svim mojim studentima poruka:"stojim iza svake svoje riječi", ponovno bih to izrekao, ponovno ću to govoriti nadam se dok budem živ i sve vas Volim, ali okrećem stranicu života.

Za nekoga je ovaj moj potez glup (imam sigurnost, niti žene niti djece), ali ja baš suprotno svoj život i dalje predajem u Božje ruke. On me je do svega ovoga doveo, voditi će me i dalje: "Bože tebi se prepuštam, hvala na svemu do sada spreman sam od tebe primiti sve što mi podariš u budućnosti!"

Još 2016. godine dao je intervju za Slobodnu Dalmaciju:

- Dok sam bio u gimnaziji išao sam na poljudski Sjever, a zadnjih godina obično sam na Istoku ili Zapadu. Ako nije dres Hajduka na meni ili šal onda je obavezno nešto bijelo. Dok je Hajduk igrao na Staroj plinari bogoslovi i sjemeništarci s vrha zgrade Bogoslovije gledali bi utakmice. I danas rado od starijih kolega slušam njihove priče kako bi se kradomice za vrijeme učenja išuljali i gledali Hajduka.

U Kliničkom bolničkom centru u Splitu svoju bitku s teškom bolešću sinoć je izgubio don Marijo Volarević (46), jedan od omiljenih dalmatinskih svećenika, posebice među mladima, i osvjedočeni torcidaš.

Don Marijo rođen je 10. listopada 1976. u Metkoviću, a za svećenika Nadbiskupije splitsko-makarske bio je zaređen u rodnom gradu 29. lipnja 2003. godine. ostao je zapamćen među vjernicima kao župni vikar u Kaštel Lukšiću, župni pomoćnik u solinskom Svetom Kaji, a zatim je bio prefekt u Nadbiskupskom sjemeništu u Splitu.

S nepunih 30 godina, u jesen 2005. otišao je u Papinski hrvatski zavod Svetog Jeronima u Rim te je 2010. godine doktorirao na Papinskom lateranskom sveučilištu i Institutu moralne teologije Alfonsiana. Bio je pročelnik Katedre moralnog bogoslovlja na Katoličkom bogoslovnom fakultetu u Splitu, te je predavao na kolegijima Osnove moralne teologije i Socijhalni nauk crkve.

Njegovo uže područje znanstvenog istraživanja vezano je za socijalni nauk Crkve, feminizam, rodnu teoriju, bračnu i obiteljsku antropologiju. Na te je teme napisao doktorat, knjigu i nekoliko znanstvenih članaka te održao nekoliko predavanja na međunarodnim i domaćim znanstvenim simpozijima.

Omiljeni splitski svećenik i član Torcide objavio da napušta Crkvu: Ne ženim se, nemam dicu, niti imam dečka. Možda ću sada biti bolji vjernik...

Don Marijo je prije pet godina na svojem profilu na Facebooku poručio je kako se ostavlja svećeničkog poziva. O razlozima svoje odluke nije želio govoriti, no istakao je da ne zamjera ništa ni nadbiskupu ni Nadbiskupiji:

- Vjerujem u istoga Boga i dalje, moji stavovi su isti, možda ću sad biti još bolji vjernik.
