Milijuni kubika vode čitavu prošlu noć prepumpani su u lateralani kanal Koševo Vrbovci na području Repa. Velika pumpa još uvijek radi punom parom i vuče vodu koja se razlila po naselju Slatine i okolnim poljoprivrednim površinama. Inače laterlani kanal služi za navodnjavanje u ljetnim mjesecima a u zimskim i u vrijeme velikih voda njegova namjena je isključivo za odvodnju viška vode.

Ispumpavajući vodu pripadnici Javne vatrogasne postrojbe Metković i DVD-a Metković, spasili su naselje Slatine koje je inače na nešto nižoj koti od ostalih gradskih naselja na lijevoj strani Metkovića. Vatrogasci su intervenirali i na desnoj strani grada, na Unki i Zagrebačkoj ulici gdje su poplave češće s obzirom na močvarnu konfiguraciju terena.
Olujno nevrijeme praćeno jakom kišom u noći sa subote na nedjelju pogodilo je Metković. Ukupno je palo 167,00 litara po četvornom metru. Radi se o iznimnim količinama oborina, obzirom da u prosječnom zimskom kišovitom mjesecu padne od 200-220 litara kiše po četvornom metru. Drugim riječima Metković je u jednom danu skoro premašio mjesečni prosjek padavina.
Sve raspoložive snage JVP i DVD Metković su na terenu i obavljaju ispumpavanja po dojavama građana i drugih službi. Kako doznajemo, Hrvatske vode su poduzele redovne mjere obrane od poplava u okviru svoje nadležnosti. Međutim, čini se da se vrijeme smiruje, prognoze govore o prestanku oborina pa Metković i njegovi stanovnici mogu odahnuti.---

Milijuni kubika vode čitavu prošlu noć prepumpani su u lateralani kanal Koševo Vrbovci na području Repa. Velika pumpa još uvijek radi punom parom i vuče vodu koja se razlila po naselju Slatine i okolnim poljoprivrednim površinama. Inače laterlani kanal služi za navodnjavanje u ljetnim mjesecima a u zimskim i u vrijeme velikih voda njegova namjena je isključivo za odvodnju viška vode.

Ispumpavajući vodu pripadnici Javne vatrogasne postrojbe Metković i DVD-a Metković, spasili su naselje Slatine koje je inače na nešto nižoj koti od ostalih gradskih naselja na lijevoj strani Metkovića. Vatrogasci su intervenirali i na desnoj strani grada, na Unki i Zagrebačkoj ulici gdje su poplave češće s obzirom na močvarnu konfiguraciju terena.
Olujno nevrijeme praćeno jakom kišom u noći sa subote na nedjelju pogodilo je Metković. Ukupno je palo 167,00 litara po četvornom metru. Radi se o iznimnim količinama oborina, obzirom da u prosječnom zimskom kišovitom mjesecu padne od 200-220 litara kiše po četvornom metru. Drugim riječima Metković je u jednom danu skoro premašio mjesečni prosjek padavina.
Sve raspoložive snage JVP i DVD Metković su na terenu i obavljaju ispumpavanja po dojavama građana i drugih službi. Kako doznajemo, Hrvatske vode su poduzele redovne mjere obrane od poplava u okviru svoje nadležnosti. Međutim, čini se da se vrijeme smiruje, prognoze govore o prestanku oborina pa Metković i njegovi stanovnici mogu odahnuti.---
