Primorci su samljeli svoje masline, ali ovo za većinu njih nije bila plodonosna godina. Kišilo je u doba cvatnje, a tada nema oprašivanja, pa su maslinari u Topolom i okolnim selima imali tek 10 do 15 posto u odnosu na lanjsku, prosječnu godinu. Nešto više su imali Primorci okrenuti moru.

Za kvalitetno ulje plod treba biti zdrav. Nažalost, mnogo je čimbenika koji negativno utječu na maslinu. Ona se čak i dobro nosi s brojnim štetnicima koji je napadaju. Mnogo veći problem na kojega maslinari ne mogu utjecati su klimatske promjene.

- Sušna ljeta čak i ne čine toliku štetu koliko blage zime. Nedostaju nam dva mjeseca one stare, prave zime, u vrijeme mirovanja vegetacije, kad maslina odmara. Ovakva klima maslini ne odgovara. Došli smo do toga da su idealniji uvjeti za maslinarstvo u Ljubuškom, nego u Primorju - kaže Ivo Konsuo, vlasnik uljare u selu Topolo, u Dubrovačkom primorju.

Primorci su samljeli svoje masline, ali ovo za većinu njih nije bila plodonosna godina. Kišilo je u doba cvatnje, a tada nema oprašivanja, pa su maslinari u Topolom i okolnim selima imali tek 10 do 15 posto u odnosu na lanjsku, prosječnu godinu. Nešto više su imali Primorci okrenuti moru.

Za kvalitetno ulje plod treba biti zdrav. Nažalost, mnogo je čimbenika koji negativno utječu na maslinu. Ona se čak i dobro nosi s brojnim štetnicima koji je napadaju. Mnogo veći problem na kojega maslinari ne mogu utjecati su klimatske promjene.

- Sušna ljeta čak i ne čine toliku štetu koliko blage zime. Nedostaju nam dva mjeseca one stare, prave zime, u vrijeme mirovanja vegetacije, kad maslina odmara. Ovakva klima maslini ne odgovara. Došli smo do toga da su idealniji uvjeti za maslinarstvo u Ljubuškom, nego u Primorju - kaže Ivo Konsuo, vlasnik uljare u selu Topolo, u Dubrovačkom primorju.

Primorci su samljeli svoje masline, ali ovo za većinu njih nije bila plodonosna godina. Kišilo je u doba cvatnje, a tada nema oprašivanja, pa su maslinari u Topolom i okolnim selima imali tek 10 do 15 posto u odnosu na lanjsku, prosječnu godinu. Nešto više su imali Primorci okrenuti moru.

Za kvalitetno ulje plod treba biti zdrav. Nažalost, mnogo je čimbenika koji negativno utječu na maslinu. Ona se čak i dobro nosi s brojnim štetnicima koji je napadaju. Mnogo veći problem na kojega maslinari ne mogu utjecati su klimatske promjene.

- Sušna ljeta čak i ne čine toliku štetu koliko blage zime. Nedostaju nam dva mjeseca one stare, prave zime, u vrijeme mirovanja vegetacije, kad maslina odmara. Ovakva klima maslini ne odgovara. Došli smo do toga da su idealniji uvjeti za maslinarstvo u Ljubuškom, nego u Primorju - kaže Ivo Konsuo, vlasnik uljare u selu Topolo, u Dubrovačkom primorju.
