Nizozemski avioprijevoznik KLM objavio je u petak da će u kolovozu ukinuti do 20 dnevnih letova prema europskim odredištima zbog nedostatka radnika, nadovezavši se na najavu SAS-a koji ih smanjuje zbog štrajka pilota.
Nakon pandemije covida 19 KLM i zračna luka Schiphol u Amsterdamu, njegova baza, nisu uspjeli popuniti tisuće radnih mjesta.
Schipol je zamolio prijevoznike da smanje broj putnika za tisuću dnevno kako bi ublažili pritisak.
"Radni pritisak u zračnoj luci trenutno je nemilosrdan jer se i Schiphol i KLM suočavaju s nedostatkom radnika. Cilj je KLM-ovih mjera obnoviti operativnu stabilnost, čime se smanjuje pritisak na radnike u Schipholu i KLM-u", priopćio je prijevoznik.
Probleme za putnike u Europi nagovijestio je u četvrtak i SAS, otkazavši stotine letova zbog štrajka pilota u glavnoj podružnici SAS Scandinavia.
"Obavijest sindikata pilota SAS Scandinavia o štrajku počela je utjecati na naše rezervacije prema kraju mjeseca", rekao je izvršni direktor Anko van der Werff.
Pregovori uprave i pilota o novom kolektivnom ugovoru propali su u ponedjeljak, pa su piloti stupili u štrajk, koji je dodatno produbio financijsku krizu u kompaniji. SAS je tako upozorio da će morati prizemljiti polovinu letova.
Kompanija procjenjuje da će ju štrajk stajati 10 do 13 milijuna dolara dnevno, dodavši i da je pospješio odluku uprave o podnošenju zahtjeva za zaštitom od vjerovnika.
Zahtjev su podnijeli u utorak u SAD-u. Prvo ročište održano je u četvrtak, a u SAS-u očekuju da će postupak trajati između devet mjeseci i godinu dana.
Kompanija već desetljećima ima problema zbog visoke troškovne osnove u usporedbi s jeftinom konkurencijom u Europi i smatra da će joj stečaj pomoći da ubrza planove restrukturiranja, uključujući smanjenja troškova, najavljena u veljači.
Piloti su pak rekli da će razmotriti smanjenje plaća, naglasivši ipak da upravi ne mogu tolerirati zapošljavanje novih radnika kroz dvije nove podružnice, pod lošijim uvjetima, navode sindikati.

Nizozemski avioprijevoznik KLM objavio je u petak da će u kolovozu ukinuti do 20 dnevnih letova prema europskim odredištima zbog nedostatka radnika, nadovezavši se na najavu SAS-a koji ih smanjuje zbog štrajka pilota.
Nakon pandemije covida 19 KLM i zračna luka Schiphol u Amsterdamu, njegova baza, nisu uspjeli popuniti tisuće radnih mjesta.
Schipol je zamolio prijevoznike da smanje broj putnika za tisuću dnevno kako bi ublažili pritisak.
"Radni pritisak u zračnoj luci trenutno je nemilosrdan jer se i Schiphol i KLM suočavaju s nedostatkom radnika. Cilj je KLM-ovih mjera obnoviti operativnu stabilnost, čime se smanjuje pritisak na radnike u Schipholu i KLM-u", priopćio je prijevoznik.
Probleme za putnike u Europi nagovijestio je u četvrtak i SAS, otkazavši stotine letova zbog štrajka pilota u glavnoj podružnici SAS Scandinavia.
"Obavijest sindikata pilota SAS Scandinavia o štrajku počela je utjecati na naše rezervacije prema kraju mjeseca", rekao je izvršni direktor Anko van der Werff.
Pregovori uprave i pilota o novom kolektivnom ugovoru propali su u ponedjeljak, pa su piloti stupili u štrajk, koji je dodatno produbio financijsku krizu u kompaniji. SAS je tako upozorio da će morati prizemljiti polovinu letova.
Kompanija procjenjuje da će ju štrajk stajati 10 do 13 milijuna dolara dnevno, dodavši i da je pospješio odluku uprave o podnošenju zahtjeva za zaštitom od vjerovnika.
Zahtjev su podnijeli u utorak u SAD-u. Prvo ročište održano je u četvrtak, a u SAS-u očekuju da će postupak trajati između devet mjeseci i godinu dana.
Kompanija već desetljećima ima problema zbog visoke troškovne osnove u usporedbi s jeftinom konkurencijom u Europi i smatra da će joj stečaj pomoći da ubrza planove restrukturiranja, uključujući smanjenja troškova, najavljena u veljači.
Piloti su pak rekli da će razmotriti smanjenje plaća, naglasivši ipak da upravi ne mogu tolerirati zapošljavanje novih radnika kroz dvije nove podružnice, pod lošijim uvjetima, navode sindikati.
