Kako javlja Jutarnji list, Vugrinec se natječe za jedno od 23 mjesta za let podorbitnom letjelicom, koje se odvija u sklopu AXE Apollo svemirske akademije.

- Još uvijek mi je teško povjerovati da sam pobijedio. Osjećaj je nevjerojatan. Presretan sam što imam priliku hvatati svoj dječački san, a sada kada je prvi korak prema njegovom ostvarenju i napravljen, planiram dati sve od sebe da dođem do kraja, i budem jedan od 23 sretnika koji će ići u svemir - rekao je Vugrinec.

Nakon boravka i priprema u AXE Apollo svemirskom kampu Sziget, izabrano je šest kandidata iz Mađarske, Češke, Slovačke, Hrvatske, Slovenije i Bosne i Hercegovine koji putuju u Orlando na finalne kvalifikacije
Tvrtka SXC, koju vodi glavni direktor Michiel Mol, upravlja podorbitalnim svemirskim zrakoplovom Lynx tvrtke XCOR Aerospace, koji putnike uzdiže na više od 100 kilometara u svemir, čime oni zadobivaju status astronauta.

Pred Goranom i ostalim kandidatima, predstoje još finalne kvalifikacije u prosincu na Floridi. U sklopu Globalnog Space Campa u Orlandu kandidati iz cijelog svijeta imat će priliku sudjelovati u tri trening misije.

Tijekom boravka u kampu pokazat će jesu li dorasli zadatku gdje će konačnih 23 svemirskih putnika biti izabrano na temelju kompetitivnih simuliranih svemirskih izazova. Oni koji će zadovoljiti sve potrebne uvjete doživjet će jedinstveno životno iskustvo – u bestežinskom stanju i sa 103 kilometra udaljenosti moće će gledati zemaljsku kuglu.

- Još uvijek mi je teško povjerovati da sam pobijedio. Osjećaj je nevjerojatan. Presretan sam što imam priliku hvatati svoj dječački san, a sada kada je prvi korak prema njegovom ostvarenju i napravljen, planiram dati sve od sebe da dođem do kraja, i budem jedan od 23 sretnika koji će ići u svemir - rekao je Vugrinec.

Nakon boravka i priprema u AXE Apollo svemirskom kampu Sziget, izabrano je šest kandidata iz Mađarske, Češke, Slovačke, Hrvatske, Slovenije i Bosne i Hercegovine koji putuju u Orlando na finalne kvalifikacije
Tvrtka SXC, koju vodi glavni direktor Michiel Mol, upravlja podorbitalnim svemirskim zrakoplovom Lynx tvrtke XCOR Aerospace, koji putnike uzdiže na više od 100 kilometara u svemir, čime oni zadobivaju status astronauta.

Pred Goranom i ostalim kandidatima, predstoje još finalne kvalifikacije u prosincu na Floridi. U sklopu Globalnog Space Campa u Orlandu kandidati iz cijelog svijeta imat će priliku sudjelovati u tri trening misije.

Tijekom boravka u kampu pokazat će jesu li dorasli zadatku gdje će konačnih 23 svemirskih putnika biti izabrano na temelju kompetitivnih simuliranih svemirskih izazova. Oni koji će zadovoljiti sve potrebne uvjete doživjet će jedinstveno životno iskustvo – u bestežinskom stanju i sa 103 kilometra udaljenosti moće će gledati zemaljsku kuglu.

Veliki zaljubljenik u svemir i neistražena prostranstva, poznati stand-up komičar, Goran Vugrinec, dobio je priliku da postane prvi Hrvat u svemiru.
