Dan po dan, evo bogami skoro dva tjedna nacija s nestrpljenjem čeka konstituiranje nove Vlade. Vlade, međutim, još nema na vidiku, a u iščekivanju bijelog dima Hrvatice i Hrvati napeto prate ono što mediji izvješćuju ili nagađaju. Tko će s kime i tko s kime neće ni u ludilu?

Dojam je da su svi protiv svih, ali i da su svi jedinstveni u jednome, u želji da pošto-poto svi ostanu na vlasti, u saborskim klupama, uz pristojne mjesečne apanaže i nepristojnu količinu moći koja ide uz to.

Dakako, većini, velikoj većini, zajednička je i doza prijezira koju pokazuju prema novinarima. Donedavni premijer, sada samo predsjednik HDZ-a, čak je uložio dodatan napor da poimenice nabroji sve medije koji, po njegovu sudu, ruše stranku kojoj je on na čelu. Istina, pet medijskih kuća Andrej Plenković je denuncirao na zatvorenom sastanku s koordinatorima HDZ-ovih predizbornih aktivnosti, ali je snimka njegova govora procurila baš u jedan od imenovanih medija.

U postizbornim prepucavanjima na medijske slobode okomio se i čelnik Domovinskog pokreta Ivan Penava koji je, govoreći pred novinarima, našao za prikladno pljuvati po novinarima. Zacijelo je bio iznenađen izostankom aplauza...

Za to vrijeme o medijskim slobodama očitovao se i Liberties, Unija za građanske slobode za Europu sa sjedištem u Berlinu, prema čijem izvještaju ne stojimo dobro. Ne stoje, doduše, ni brojne druge europske zemlje jer, kako su utvrdili u Libertiesu, takozvane SLAPP tužbe se često koriste protiv novinara u Hrvatskoj, ali i u Grčkoj, Italiji, Nizozemskoj i Švedskoj, dok su novinari u Njemačkoj, Grčkoj, Nizozemskoj i Poljskoj bili stavljeni čak i pod nadzor špijunskih programa. Prošle godine u Hrvatskoj, Francuskoj, Njemačkoj, Grčkoj i Italiji novinari su bili i fizički napadani, a u Mađarskoj i Slovačkoj suočeni i sa zlostavljanjem i prijetnjama političara. To je bilo lani, a ove godine... Ove godine neće biti ništa bolje.

Nastupi naših političara koji atakiraju na medije redovito padaju na plodno tlo onih koji ne shvaćaju da sloboda medija ima i s njima itekakve veze. Zahvaljujući nastupima političara koji otvoreno omalovažavaju, vrijeđaju ili prijete novinarima, društvena atmosfera postaje neprijateljska za novinare. A "smanjenje slobode medija ide ruku pod ruku s padom vladavine prava jer postoji bliska korelacija između toga i to je put u autoritarne režime", kažu u Libertiesu.

Korelacija slobode medija i vladavine prava ne mora biti jasna baš svakom konzumentu medijskih sadržaja, ali, nemojmo se zavaravati, moćnicima svih vrsta, pa i političarima je ona itekako jasna, odnosno, barem bi morala biti jasna čak i Ivanu Penavi, a o Andreju Plankoviću ne treba niti govoriti.

Stoga je jasno u kojem smjeru Hrvatska ide – u smjeru još manje vladavine prava, upravo u onom smjeru kojim ne žele ići ni najnepismeniji konzumenti medija. Kad se obezvrijedi i kad klekne i ovo malo prava na koje još možemo računati kao na kakav-takav ekvivalent pravde, gdje smo? Medijski mrak je mrak čitavog društva, koliko god mnogi šutjeli o tom.

Dan po dan, evo bogami skoro dva tjedna nacija s nestrpljenjem čeka konstituiranje nove Vlade. Vlade, međutim, još nema na vidiku, a u iščekivanju bijelog dima Hrvatice i Hrvati napeto prate ono što mediji izvješćuju ili nagađaju. Tko će s kime i tko s kime neće ni u ludilu?

Dojam je da su svi protiv svih, ali i da su svi jedinstveni u jednome, u želji da pošto-poto svi ostanu na vlasti, u saborskim klupama, uz pristojne mjesečne apanaže i nepristojnu količinu moći koja ide uz to.

Dakako, većini, velikoj većini, zajednička je i doza prijezira koju pokazuju prema novinarima. Donedavni premijer, sada samo predsjednik HDZ-a, čak je uložio dodatan napor da poimenice nabroji sve medije koji, po njegovu sudu, ruše stranku kojoj je on na čelu. Istina, pet medijskih kuća Andrej Plenković je denuncirao na zatvorenom sastanku s koordinatorima HDZ-ovih predizbornih aktivnosti, ali je snimka njegova govora procurila baš u jedan od imenovanih medija.

U postizbornim prepucavanjima na medijske slobode okomio se i čelnik Domovinskog pokreta Ivan Penava koji je, govoreći pred novinarima, našao za prikladno pljuvati po novinarima. Zacijelo je bio iznenađen izostankom aplauza...

Za to vrijeme o medijskim slobodama očitovao se i Liberties, Unija za građanske slobode za Europu sa sjedištem u Berlinu, prema čijem izvještaju ne stojimo dobro. Ne stoje, doduše, ni brojne druge europske zemlje jer, kako su utvrdili u Libertiesu, takozvane SLAPP tužbe se često koriste protiv novinara u Hrvatskoj, ali i u Grčkoj, Italiji, Nizozemskoj i Švedskoj, dok su novinari u Njemačkoj, Grčkoj, Nizozemskoj i Poljskoj bili stavljeni čak i pod nadzor špijunskih programa. Prošle godine u Hrvatskoj, Francuskoj, Njemačkoj, Grčkoj i Italiji novinari su bili i fizički napadani, a u Mađarskoj i Slovačkoj suočeni i sa zlostavljanjem i prijetnjama političara. To je bilo lani, a ove godine... Ove godine neće biti ništa bolje.

Nastupi naših političara koji atakiraju na medije redovito padaju na plodno tlo onih koji ne shvaćaju da sloboda medija ima i s njima itekakve veze. Zahvaljujući nastupima političara koji otvoreno omalovažavaju, vrijeđaju ili prijete novinarima, društvena atmosfera postaje neprijateljska za novinare. A "smanjenje slobode medija ide ruku pod ruku s padom vladavine prava jer postoji bliska korelacija između toga i to je put u autoritarne režime", kažu u Libertiesu.

Korelacija slobode medija i vladavine prava ne mora biti jasna baš svakom konzumentu medijskih sadržaja, ali, nemojmo se zavaravati, moćnicima svih vrsta, pa i političarima je ona itekako jasna, odnosno, barem bi morala biti jasna čak i Ivanu Penavi, a o Andreju Plankoviću ne treba niti govoriti.

Stoga je jasno u kojem smjeru Hrvatska ide – u smjeru još manje vladavine prava, upravo u onom smjeru kojim ne žele ići ni najnepismeniji konzumenti medija. Kad se obezvrijedi i kad klekne i ovo malo prava na koje još možemo računati kao na kakav-takav ekvivalent pravde, gdje smo? Medijski mrak je mrak čitavog društva, koliko god mnogi šutjeli o tom.
