- otkidanje zaperaka i dekaptiranje rajčice

S porastom biljke na rajčici dolazi do pojave „divljih“ izboja koji se razvijaju između lista i glavne stabljike. Ove je izboje (zaperke) potrebno redovito otkidati kako bi se biljka nesmetano razvijala. Svakako to činite jednom tjedno, s obzirom na to da zaperci brzo prorastu pa će njihovo uklanjanje ostaviti neželjene ožiljke na stabljici kroz koje onda mogu ulaziti različiti patogeni. Mlade zaperke jednostavno otrgnite, dok one koji su već dobro narasli odrežite nožem ili škarama. Nakon što rajčica dosegne željenu visinu izvršite i dekaptiranje, odnosno odsijecanje vrha, kako bi se energija usmjerila na razvoj plodova.

Uvijek je preporučljivije biljke zalijevati rjeđe, ali većim količinama vode, no češće manjom količinom.

Naime, zalijevanjem velikim količinama vode ona dopire do dubljih slojeva tla, čime je omogućeno dublje zakorjenjivanje biljaka. Zalijevanje manjim količinama dovest će do razvoja korijenja bliže površini, čime je ono izloženije suncu, a time je i opasnost od sušenja biljaka veća. Nije zanemariva ni činjenica što je u takvim uvjetima pojačan rast korova.

Uberite koprivu prije tvorbe sjemena. 1 kg svježe ili 200 g suhe koprive pripremite namakanjem u 10 l kišnice. Na suncu će nakon 3-4 dana smjesa provriti. Razrijeđenu u omjeru 1:50 koristite protiv lisnih ušiju i pauka na ukrasnom grmlju i voćkama.

S porastom biljke na rajčici dolazi do pojave „divljih“ izboja koji se razvijaju između lista i glavne stabljike. Ove je izboje (zaperke) potrebno redovito otkidati kako bi se biljka nesmetano razvijala. Svakako to činite jednom tjedno, s obzirom na to da zaperci brzo prorastu pa će njihovo uklanjanje ostaviti neželjene ožiljke na stabljici kroz koje onda mogu ulaziti različiti patogeni. Mlade zaperke jednostavno otrgnite, dok one koji su već dobro narasli odrežite nožem ili škarama. Nakon što rajčica dosegne željenu visinu izvršite i dekaptiranje, odnosno odsijecanje vrha, kako bi se energija usmjerila na razvoj plodova.

Uvijek je preporučljivije biljke zalijevati rjeđe, ali većim količinama vode, no češće manjom količinom.

Naime, zalijevanjem velikim količinama vode ona dopire do dubljih slojeva tla, čime je omogućeno dublje zakorjenjivanje biljaka. Zalijevanje manjim količinama dovest će do razvoja korijenja bliže površini, čime je ono izloženije suncu, a time je i opasnost od sušenja biljaka veća. Nije zanemariva ni činjenica što je u takvim uvjetima pojačan rast korova.

Uberite koprivu prije tvorbe sjemena. 1 kg svježe ili 200 g suhe koprive pripremite namakanjem u 10 l kišnice. Na suncu će nakon 3-4 dana smjesa provriti. Razrijeđenu u omjeru 1:50 koristite protiv lisnih ušiju i pauka na ukrasnom grmlju i voćkama.

UKRASNO BILJE

  • S gredica i vrtnih puteljaka redovito uklanjajte korove koje će, ako se previše razrastu, kasnije biti teško ukloniti. Malčiranjem gredica smanjit ćete rast korova, a u isto vrijeme i obogatiti gredicu organskom tvari. Pojavu korova spriječit ćete i redovitim okopavanjem gredica, što će povoljnije djelovati i na iskorištavanje vode, jer će razbijanjem pokorice i prekidanjem kapilariteta, gubitak vode biti manji.
  • Svibanj je idealan mjesec za sadnju ljetnih cvatućih vrsta u prozorske sandučiće, ukrasne posude. Pri njihovoj kupnji pazite da budu zdrave i jake. Na dno posude stavite drenažni sloj od krhotina cigle ili sitnog šljunka. U posude uspite svjež supstrat, a grumenje biljaka lagano razrahlite. Prvih mjesec dana nakon sadnje biljke nije potrebno prihranjivati, budući da svježi supstrat sadrži dovoljno hranjiva za početni stadij rasta mladih biljaka.
  • U svibnju još uvijek možete posaditi gomolje gladiole i dalije, u čijim ćete cvjetovima uživati od kolovoza.
  • S povišenjem temperature zraka dolazi i do pojačane pojave bolesti i štetnika. Redovito pregledavajte zdravstveno stanje biljaka i na vrijeme počnite suzbijati štetočine. Uvijek prvo upotrijebite preparate koje ste sami pripremili, primjerice one na bazi koprive. Priprema je jednostavna.

  • Cijepljene ruže u kasno proljeće razvijaju divlje izdanke koje treba na vrijeme ukloniti. Nije dovoljno odrezati ih iznad površine, već treba tlo oko ruže odgrnuti i izdanak odrezati u korijenu. Ružama koje su ocvale uklonite osušene cvjetove kako biste spriječili tvorbu šipka. Na ovaj ćete način potaknuti ružu na ponovnu cvatnju.
  • Vrijeme je da započnete s redovitim prihranjivanjem bilja u vrtu i na terasi, a koje sada intenzivno raste. Praktično je upotrijebiti granulirana, sporootpuštajuća hranjiva koja će biljkama osigurati hranjive tvari tijekom dužeg razdoblja. Trebate li brzo reagirati, idealno je upotrijebiti folijarna gnojiva koja se primjenjuju prskanjem listova, čime je osiguran gotovo pa trenutni učinak.
  • Lukovicama koje su cvjetale tijekom proljeća nemojte uklanjati listove, već ih pustite da se prirodno osuše. Na taj način će se sva hranjiva iz listova vratiti u lukovice, čime će one postati veće, te će bogatije cvjetati u sljedećoj sezoni. Lukovice možete izvaditi iz tla i do ponovne sadnje u jesen ih držati na suhom i hladnom mjestu, a mogu ostati i u tlu ako na toj površini ne planirate sadnju nekih drugih vrsta.

  • Od svibnja se intenzitet košnje travnjaka povećava. Bit će potrebno travnjak kositi barem jednom tjedno. Ujedno je potrebno i njegovo redovito navodnjavanje. Korovi se na travnjacima ubrzano šire, pa ih na vrijeme suzbijte. Idealno je mehaničko suzbijanje čupanjem, dok s primjenom selektivnih herbicida treba biti krajnje oprezan, s obzirom na sve negativne aspekte njihove primjene. Ako ih ipak koristite, strogo se pridržavajte uputa o pripremi sredstva i o načinu tretiranja površine.
