Ovo nisu obični izbori, poručuje nam opozicija, moramo se opredijeliti želimo li i dalje živjeti u korumpiranoj državi ili smo siti lupeštine pod visokim partijskim pokroviteljstvom, jesmo li za Hrvatsku ili smo za HDZ.

Takvi apeli zvuče zgodno, dramatično i mobilizirajuće, ali imaju jednu ozbiljnu falingu. Oni, naime, polaze od pretpostavke da je vladajuća stranka zlo samo zato što njezini članovi kradu, i to neumjereno. Da kradu manje, puno manje, sve bi bilo okej, no tome se nitko pametan ne može nadati jer su hadezeovci do te mjere ogrezli u šporkarije da više ne znaju drukčije, dakle, zakonito funkcionirati.

Moja, pak, malenkost čvrsto vjeruje kako je njihovo neiskorjenjivo nagnuće prema korupciji samo dio problema, i to manji. Čak i kada bi se nekim čudom dogodilo da sve dame i gospoda s iskaznicom vladajuće stranke jednoga lijepog dana prestanu krasti, preostalo bi dovoljno razloga da se HDZ-a gnušamo i žudimo ne samo za njegovim porazom, nego za nestankom s političke karte zemlje koju je pretvorio u partijsku prćiju.

Članska kao ausweis

Podsjećam - ako ikoga treba podsjećati - da je Hrvatska čvrsto situirana na dnu svih europskih statistika koje mjere standard, uspješnost, izvrsnost, napredak... Da nema turizma koji kod nas nije eksplodirao zaslugom promišljene državne strategije, nego kao samonikli i stihijski refleks običnoga svijeta suočenog s nuždom preživljavanja, bili bismo gladni kruha.

K tome, ovu zemlju već dugi niz godina masovno napuštaju mladi, obrazovani i ambiciozni, oni koji bi trebali biti motor razvoja. Njihovi odlasci nisu motivirani isključivo materijalnim razlozima. Naravno da im je itekako stalo raditi za kudikamo veće novce od onih koje bi mogli uprihoditi doma, ali im je jednako tako stalo živjeti u zemlji u kojoj zakoni nisu mrtvo slovo na papiru, u kojoj članska iskaznica vladajuće partije nije ausweis koji otvara sva karijerna vrata, u kojoj se mjeri samo nečija stručnost, a ne podobnost, u kojoj je crkva odvojena od države, nacionalizam nije ultimativna društvena vrijednost, a ratovi pripadaju prošlosti.

Kod nas se, pak, i dalje živi u režimu tri R. Rat, repka i raspelo ključne su sastavnice hrvatskog identiteta. Onima koji žive u čvrstom uvjerenju kako bi rat, trideset godina nakon svršetka, trebao biti činjenica iz povijesnih knjiga, a ne iz prvih minuta televizijskoga dnevnika, koji na reprezentativni nogomet gledaju kao na sport, a ne kao na ultimativni patriotski test, i koji drže kako su vjerska uvjerenja građana pitanje njihova privatnog izbora, a ne obveza kojoj se svi trebaju pokoriti, naravno da je tijesno u Hrvatskoj, pa sreću moraju potražiti nekamo drugdje.

A zasluge za takav rasplet idu na teret isključivo HDZ-u koji je ovu zemlju konzervirao u predmodernom stanju, kao da su nam ilirci vršnjaci, a ne daleki preci.

Predamo li se maštanju, možda ćemo uspjeti zamisliti Hrvatsku kao visoko funkcionalnu pravnu državu u kojoj se ljudi – svi ljudi, pa i HDZ-ovci – plaše zakona. No nisam siguran da itko raspolaže tako neograničenim količinama fantazije pa da zamisli Hrvatsku u kojoj se neće uporno svirati produžeci ratu, u kojoj će crkva biti odvojena od države, a svatko će slobodno konzumirati svoje pravo da bude što god želi, Hrvat, Srbin, homoseksualac ili ateist, bez straha da će zbog toga biti izvrgnut bilo kojem obliku šikaniranja.

Formula nije ili - ili

Pa zašto onda oporba, barem njezin pretežni dio, isključivo inzistira na (sasvim neupitnoj) HDZ-ovoj kaznenoj odgovornosti, a zanemaruje društvenu štetu koju je vladajuća stranka napravila time što je nacionalizam i klerikalizam normalizirala kao poželjne obrasce ponašanja? Pa vjerojatno zato što i sama dijeli te vrijednosti, kao, recimo, Zoran Milanović koji ne propušta nijednu priliku da bi pozirao u društvu ljudi koji su četiri godine ratovali da bi potom trideset godina ubirali dividende od toga, ili da bi uvjerio Kaptol (iako bez uspjeha) kako je on dobar dečko kojemu ne pada na pamet dovesti u pitanje Vatikanske ugovore.

Svi oni koji misle da će svojim ustrajavanjem na formuli ili-ili (ili Hrvatska ili HDZ) promijeniti ovu zemlju nabolje, ne čine uslugu ni sebi ni zdravoj pameti kao takvoj. Paradoksalno, što se oni više trude ocrniti vladajuću stranku, to je više aboliraju, jer zanemaruju prebogati katalog grijeha za koji je ona odgovorna. A ti grijesi nisu manje opasni od pronevjera i otimačina javnog novca. Meni se, štoviše, čini da su puno gori, samo što ih je teško, ustvari nemoguće, numerički izraziti.

Ovo nisu obični izbori, poručuje nam opozicija, moramo se opredijeliti želimo li i dalje živjeti u korumpiranoj državi ili smo siti lupeštine pod visokim partijskim pokroviteljstvom, jesmo li za Hrvatsku ili smo za HDZ.

Takvi apeli zvuče zgodno, dramatično i mobilizirajuće, ali imaju jednu ozbiljnu falingu. Oni, naime, polaze od pretpostavke da je vladajuća stranka zlo samo zato što njezini članovi kradu, i to neumjereno. Da kradu manje, puno manje, sve bi bilo okej, no tome se nitko pametan ne može nadati jer su hadezeovci do te mjere ogrezli u šporkarije da više ne znaju drukčije, dakle, zakonito funkcionirati.

Moja, pak, malenkost čvrsto vjeruje kako je njihovo neiskorjenjivo nagnuće prema korupciji samo dio problema, i to manji. Čak i kada bi se nekim čudom dogodilo da sve dame i gospoda s iskaznicom vladajuće stranke jednoga lijepog dana prestanu krasti, preostalo bi dovoljno razloga da se HDZ-a gnušamo i žudimo ne samo za njegovim porazom, nego za nestankom s političke karte zemlje koju je pretvorio u partijsku prćiju.

Članska kao ausweis

Podsjećam - ako ikoga treba podsjećati - da je Hrvatska čvrsto situirana na dnu svih europskih statistika koje mjere standard, uspješnost, izvrsnost, napredak... Da nema turizma koji kod nas nije eksplodirao zaslugom promišljene državne strategije, nego kao samonikli i stihijski refleks običnoga svijeta suočenog s nuždom preživljavanja, bili bismo gladni kruha.

K tome, ovu zemlju već dugi niz godina masovno napuštaju mladi, obrazovani i ambiciozni, oni koji bi trebali biti motor razvoja. Njihovi odlasci nisu motivirani isključivo materijalnim razlozima. Naravno da im je itekako stalo raditi za kudikamo veće novce od onih koje bi mogli uprihoditi doma, ali im je jednako tako stalo živjeti u zemlji u kojoj zakoni nisu mrtvo slovo na papiru, u kojoj članska iskaznica vladajuće partije nije ausweis koji otvara sva karijerna vrata, u kojoj se mjeri samo nečija stručnost, a ne podobnost, u kojoj je crkva odvojena od države, nacionalizam nije ultimativna društvena vrijednost, a ratovi pripadaju prošlosti.

Kod nas se, pak, i dalje živi u režimu tri R. Rat, repka i raspelo ključne su sastavnice hrvatskog identiteta. Onima koji žive u čvrstom uvjerenju kako bi rat, trideset godina nakon svršetka, trebao biti činjenica iz povijesnih knjiga, a ne iz prvih minuta televizijskoga dnevnika, koji na reprezentativni nogomet gledaju kao na sport, a ne kao na ultimativni patriotski test, i koji drže kako su vjerska uvjerenja građana pitanje njihova privatnog izbora, a ne obveza kojoj se svi trebaju pokoriti, naravno da je tijesno u Hrvatskoj, pa sreću moraju potražiti nekamo drugdje.

A zasluge za takav rasplet idu na teret isključivo HDZ-u koji je ovu zemlju konzervirao u predmodernom stanju, kao da su nam ilirci vršnjaci, a ne daleki preci.

Predamo li se maštanju, možda ćemo uspjeti zamisliti Hrvatsku kao visoko funkcionalnu pravnu državu u kojoj se ljudi – svi ljudi, pa i HDZ-ovci – plaše zakona. No nisam siguran da itko raspolaže tako neograničenim količinama fantazije pa da zamisli Hrvatsku u kojoj se neće uporno svirati produžeci ratu, u kojoj će crkva biti odvojena od države, a svatko će slobodno konzumirati svoje pravo da bude što god želi, Hrvat, Srbin, homoseksualac ili ateist, bez straha da će zbog toga biti izvrgnut bilo kojem obliku šikaniranja.

Formula nije ili - ili

Pa zašto onda oporba, barem njezin pretežni dio, isključivo inzistira na (sasvim neupitnoj) HDZ-ovoj kaznenoj odgovornosti, a zanemaruje društvenu štetu koju je vladajuća stranka napravila time što je nacionalizam i klerikalizam normalizirala kao poželjne obrasce ponašanja? Pa vjerojatno zato što i sama dijeli te vrijednosti, kao, recimo, Zoran Milanović koji ne propušta nijednu priliku da bi pozirao u društvu ljudi koji su četiri godine ratovali da bi potom trideset godina ubirali dividende od toga, ili da bi uvjerio Kaptol (iako bez uspjeha) kako je on dobar dečko kojemu ne pada na pamet dovesti u pitanje Vatikanske ugovore.

Svi oni koji misle da će svojim ustrajavanjem na formuli ili-ili (ili Hrvatska ili HDZ) promijeniti ovu zemlju nabolje, ne čine uslugu ni sebi ni zdravoj pameti kao takvoj. Paradoksalno, što se oni više trude ocrniti vladajuću stranku, to je više aboliraju, jer zanemaruju prebogati katalog grijeha za koji je ona odgovorna. A ti grijesi nisu manje opasni od pronevjera i otimačina javnog novca. Meni se, štoviše, čini da su puno gori, samo što ih je teško, ustvari nemoguće, numerički izraziti.
